Work Text:
Up here, in the endless sky, under the stars in Kara's arms, Lena can forget just about everything. Forget her problems, forget her family, forget LexCorp. Just be herself around this cute girl who's taking her up above the clouds.
It's hard to breathe up here, partially because the air is thin and they're floating so high up and partially benched of how she feels for Kara. If she thinks about how high up they're are too hard, she could let herself be scared. But she trusts Kara, trusts the grip she has Lena's body.
"Can I—" she breathes, "can I kiss you?"
"I'd love that," Kara answers, smiling brightly like one of the twinkling star above.
And they do kiss. It's perfect.
