    It started on a normal hunt that takes a terrible turn. As Dean lays dying, making peace wiht the end of his life, Heaven realizes that they need him alive a little longer. Castiel descents to save a soul that is closer to death than life. So to save Dean lifes Castiel put all he has into it and therby don't fullfil the mission but creates something new.
