Chapter Text

Hello there, my beloved readers. Here we are at the end of all things. After 26 months, 25 fics, 112 chapters, and 450,533 words, TOH Simulated Pregnancy has finally come to an end. Thank you all for reading, leaving kudos, and commenting. You guys are the reason I wrote anything past Health Class Final Exam. From the bottom of my bile sac, thank you all. I appreciate you guys more than you know. 

I started writing this series in January 2023. At the time, I was unhappy with how little Lumity pregnancy smut there was and decided that since no one else was writing it, I would have to. Most of the Lumity pregnancy content I could find was non-smut, and practically none of the fics had anything to do with pregnancy kinks. They were just “sex while pregnant” instead of full-on kink-driven pregnant sex. Nobody seemed to be doing anything about the situation, so I decided that I was going to write the fics I wanted to read. 

It took me over a year to write Health Class Final Exam. I cranked out the first chapters pretty quickly, but I kinda lost interest. I wrote every month or so, frequently not finishing chapters. What was intended to be a two-chapter smutfic ballooned into an eight-chapter storyline with plot and worldbuilding. When I finally finished Chapter 7, I thought the fic was done, but ended up writing Chapter 8 and posting the day it was done. 

When I first published Health Class Final Exam, I had one sequel planned: Jailhouse Cock. The incredible reception to Part 1 (5k hits in one week!) inspired me to write more. I planned the remaining 10 fics initially in this series:

The series continued to grow from there. I started asking for story ideas and incorporated a few of them. I started writing fics for other TOH couples, which was fun because I could explore a non-Lumity dynamic and different kinks. I think my favourite side kink is Willow’s maid kink. The mental image of a pregnant maid Skara is incredible. I guess I have a thing for pregnant maid musicians, which has nothing to do with the fact that all my schoolgirl crushes were musicians. 

While this series definitely started out as pure smut, it kinda transitioned into my idea of what the Boiling Isles would be like post-Belos. I somehow ended up inventing a bunch of lore and showing what our beloved characters might be doing with their lives (aside from having pregnant sex, of course). I even had fics with multiple plot chapters, which is kinda wild to think about, considering what this series is. 

One of my favourite recurring ideas was the prayer before eating. We don’t see much religion in the Boiling Isles, but I like to imagine that stuck-up rich people (like the Blights used to be) still quasi-worshipped the Titan like they did back before Belos showed up. My original intent with making the characters say grace was to let Luz flirt with Amity about being the Titan, but I ended up showing a lot more religious aspects with it. 

I envisioned the Titan as a protecting and providing figure, not unlike some interpretations of the Christian God, but still very different. He lies below and makes up the ground instead of living unseen in Heaven, and is associated with death instead of life. He’s the one who greets your soul when you die instead of some saint (I’m not a Christian, so I don’t really know who they think meets them when they die but Google says it’s a saint). 

Like everything, this series was not perfect. There are things I wish I could’ve changed. If I could redo one fic, it would be Jailhouse Cock. I tried to make an anti-revenge story wrapped in kinky paper, but it seems that the wrapping was too thick and it ended up being all kink. I thought I set up a clear dichotomy: painful, unpleasant, and unsatisfying revenge sex contrasted with loving, enthusiastic, and satisfying non-revenge sex. It seems that I didn’t make it obvious enough. Oh well. At least I know what to do differently next time. That’s why I write these stories: to get better at writing. 

I do think I somewhat redeemed myself in Brawls and Bellies with Amity’s revenge fantasy on Boscha. After Amity lived out her dream, Luz called her out for it and suggested that she go to therapy, and Amity was cowed and agreed. I’m still not sure if it was a perfect way to do it, but I definitely made it more obvious.

• An anonymous guest commenter gave me the idea for Luz and Amity to survive off breast milk alone, paving the way for Thirst for Survival. I didn’t adapt their suggestion exactly, but I liked the idea. You can go check out their comment on Chapter 1 of Triplet Time. 
• Hootyhoothoot (a guest commenter) gave me another idea for Thirst For Survival - the “strong bones” joke, as a consequence of Luz and Amity drinking so much milk. You can see their comment on Chapter 2 of My Girlfriend Turned Into A Slime.
• MarvelFan_1 gave me the idea to do a Veesha fic, directly inspiring Basilisk Breeding. I initially had no plans to write a Veesha fic. You can see their comment on Chapter 1 of Triplet Time. 
• Some Random Guy (a guest commenter) suggested a gradually increasing pregnancy, where someone periodically adds a baby to their existing pregnancy. That directly inspired Building A Brood. You can see their comments on Chapter 2 of Triplet Time and Chapter 4 of Jailhouse Cock. 
• Hootyhoothoot (a guest commenter) gave me the idea of getting Titan Luz pregnant, which was folded into my existing plans for The Titan’s Power. I had never considered getting Luz pregnant while in her Titan form. You can go check out their comment on Chapter 1 of Gravid Graduation. 
• Some Random Guy (a guest commenter) suggested having the girls wear tight clothes and burst out of them during their pregnant expansion, which I folded into my existing plans for My Girlfriend Turned Into a Slime. You can see their comment on Chapter 3 of Books and Bellies. 
• Hootyhoothoot (a guest commenter) gave me a bunch of great ideas for My Girlfriend Turned Into A Slime, including Amity forcefully moving Luz’s limbs, grabbing stuff with Abomi-tentacles, making Luz’s belly glow, and the “human submarine” joke. • HootyHootHoot (a guest commenter) gave me the idea of getting Willow pregnant with plants in Fertile Flyers. You can see their comment on Chapter 6 of Building A Brood. 
• Birthday Bellies was just a smorgasbord of suggested ideas, I wrote the fic as an attempt to combine as many suggestions as possible:
• VulcanRider gave me the idea of a pregnant massage. You can see their comment on Chapter 1 of Gravid Graduation. They also suggested the idea of licking sweet stuff off a pregnant belly (though they suggested Nutella instead of maple syrup). You can see their comment on Chapter 2 of Titan Pursuit.
• TheRealH gave me the idea of impregnation while sleeping (though I didn't adapt it in exactly the way they suggested). You can see their comment on Chapter 2 of Gravid Graduation.
• HootyHootHoot (a guest commenter) suggested the idea of a birthday fic where the birthday girl gets impregnated in her sleep. • Littletree1 (on Deviantart) gave me the idea of sending the girls to a hot spring. You can see their comment on the art for Musical Maid.
• Nvr999, who also suggested the idea of licking all over (though they suggested Amity doing it to Luz, and all over her body). You can see their comment on Chapter 2 of Pregnant for Pride. They also suggested Luz and Amity entering a shared dream. You can see their comment on Chapter 2 of Brawls And Bellies. They also suggested the tongue shenanigans that I adapted into Chapter 2. • Halocraft314 suggested the idea of rapid impregnation via cumming. I didn’t adapt their idea exactly (they suggested using a dick to shoot Abomination juice and create simulated pregnancy), it was what inspired the impregnation in Chapter 1, so I think it counts. • autistic_gamer2 suggested the idea of sex while sleeping. You can see their comment on Chapter 2 of My Girlfriend Turned Into A Slime.
• Nvr99 suggested the climatic orgasm dialogue in Chapter 7 of The Titan’s Power. You can see their comment on Chapter 2 of Titan Pursuit. They also suggested glowing kiss marks. 
• HootyHootHoot (a guest commenter) for the idea of magic belly lotion that lets the girls see into the womb. You can see their comment on Chapter 2 of Blight Dairy.

While writing the first half of this series (up to posting Books and Bellies), I typically had each fic completely written two weeks before it started being posted. I took a long writing break after publishing Musical Maid, which put me severely behind schedule and I ended up finishing Beach Bellies a mere 10 minutes before posting it. I almost always had multiple fics complete and waiting to be posted, it’s just that some of them were much later in the series and couldn’t be posted yet even though they were done. This peaked with 6 fics waiting in line right before I posted Growing At Grudgby.

While my average chapter output varied a lot, I don’t think there was ever a week where I didn’t finish a whole chapter (aside from my breaks, whether due to work or writing other fics). Sometimes that meant one chapter in 4 hours, sometimes that meant a bunch of little snippets spread over the week. My most productive day of writing was April 7th 2024, when I wrote the last two chapters of Musical Maid in one day. That’s a whole 8300 words, a personal record for me. Similarly productive were April 14th 2024 and June 23rd 2024, when I wrote the entirety of A Nurse’s Touch (7200 words) and almost two chapters of Building A Brood (7400 words) in a single day, respectively. 

I disappeared for a long time midway through the series thanks to my job sending me to a different location. I didn’t have any chance to write for a while, since I normally write at work. AO3 was on the wifi blocklist so I couldn’t even get on to tell you guys what happened. I was able to learn to draw though, that’s when I drew almost all the art for this series. Fortunately, the beginning of 2025 got me a new job location where I could write sometimes. 

I disappeared one other time too, in fall 2025, but at least I was able to get out a message to tell you guys what happened. My friend DormantFiction also posted a comment for me, which I appreciate. Luckily, that absence wasn’t too long.

I found myself writing lots of shorter (2 or 3 chapter) fics toward the beginning of the series, but they gradually got longer as time went on. I suffered from my usual curse while writing - coming up with extra ideas that required more chapters. This series ended up with 47 chapters more than planned, or about 42% of the total. If we consider that the series was initially planned to be 65 chapters long, it grew by over 72%, which is huge. That's just over eleven and a quarter fics’ worth of extra content, given the average number of chapters in one of these things. 

The easiest fic for me to write was A Nurse’s Touch. I got the idea while laying in bed on a weeknight, wrote an outline in the morning, and then wrote the entire fic in one day on the weekend. The story just really flowed well. I will likely remaster and republish it without the simulated pregnancy aspect, making the pregnancy real and having it be a cute and sexy way for Em and Viney to get together. 

The hardest fic for me to write was Beach Bellies. I don’t know why, but I just couldn’t make myself write it. I wrote something like 12 chapters of future fics (~11% of the entire series) while I was procrastinating it, and I finished the fic barely 10 minutes before I posted the first chapter. I think it just ballooned out of control, going from a planned 3 chapters to 6, and 12,000 words to almost 29,000. It felt like it would never end. Beach Bellies actually had a seventh chapter planned, taking place after Chapter 4, where Amity got mugged and beat the guy up (I just wanted a preg Amity action scene) but I cut it for time. That scene was the first thing I wrote for the fic and was the third thing I wrote in the entire series, after Health Class Final Exam and the first chapter of Jailhouse Cock. 

I seriously considered giving up on this series after posting Beach Bellies. That fic just burned me out and I didn’t want to write anymore. In fact, I didn’t write so much as a single word for almost three weeks afterward. I barely finished Blight Dairy in time, and I struggled to meet the deadline for Building a Brood as well. But after getting Part 13 done, I knew it was smooth sailing from here - I had preemptively written about half of each remaining long fic, so there wasn’t much work to do (compared to Building a Brood, which had ¾ of a single chapter written ahead of time). 

Birthday Bellies is another fic that ballooned out of control. It was supposed to be a short, 3-chapter romp at the spa, incorporating a few people’s suggested ideas. But then I kept getting more ideas that would fit the plot, and it ended up being 7 chapters long. 

To be honest, the end of this series really got out of control in terms of length. Birthday Bellies and The Titan’s Power make up over one fifth of the entire series (in terms of chapter count). That’s way too much, even considering that one of them is the finale. I seriously debated splitting The Titan’s Power into three parts and posting them separately, but I ultimately decided agasint it. It was going to become a mini-series called Octomom Amity, but I realised that I didn’t want to keep hanging on to TOH Simulated Pregnancy for so long. I wanted to start on a new series, and dragging out the finale into three separate fics would delay that. So I kept it all as one big fic. Hopefully you guys didn’t mind.

This series had a lot of two-chapter fics - some 7 of them, by my count, which is almost a third of all fics in this series. I felt kinda bad about putting out so much short content and making you guys wait a whole two weeks for fics like that. Still, it’s better than the alternative - some of those two-chapter fics started out as one-chapter fics, and I think we can all agree that two chapters is better than one. 

On the topic of fic length, they started out pretty short. Then there was a nice peak right in the late middle with Beach Bellies, Building a Brood, Thirst for Survival, and Brawls and Bellies at six chapters each. My Girlfriend Turned Into a Slime was the midseries peak in terms of length, at eight chapters, then the chapter count decreased again. Those four weeks of two-chapter fics (A Nurse’s Touch & Titan Pursuit) really grated at me, and while planning the series, I tried swapping longer fics around to fill in the gap (notably, Books and Bellies) but it just didn’t work out. Of course, the beginning and grand finale fics were extra long - especially The Titan’s Power, my longest fic ever at 75,625 words and 17 chapters! That one kind of got away from me. 

I don’t really know why my fics got longer for a while there. I don’t think I got significantly better at writing, I just had longer and more complex plots. Most of the initial 10 fics planned for this series were just intended to be a new pregnancy size and a unique sex position, most of the add-ons had a specific plot I wanted to follow. 

I very frequently wrote out of order when writing the first half of this series, but I shifted to writing mostly sequentially after Beach Bellies. Below is the order in which I finished the fics:

I initially got the idea for this series while out for a walk. I was thinking about potential plots for a Lumity pregnancy smut fic and thought “what if Amity filled herself up with Abomination juice?” It took a little while to get the story planned out from there, but that core idea has carried me through all 25 of these works. One of my other favorite ideas was “what if Titan Luz decided she needed to repopulate her species and impregnated most of the girls in the show?”

I’ve been asked for a timeline for this series. While there’s definitely a set order of works, I didn’t plan specific dates for most of them. Here’s my best approximation of the start date for each fic:
