Summary
Phainon is a young, successful vampire hunter with a secret.
His mission to slay the vampire residing in the cliff sides of the Grove of Epiphany ends up with him returning each night. All for a glimpse into the life of an anomaly to both man and monster, Count Anaxagoras. A centuries old vampire that abstains from drinking blood, and by the elaborate puzzles decorating the path to his castle - from visitors as well.
Yet as each night grows longer, resisting the nature of either becomes more difficult. The sunlight in the living's eyes begins to fall for how tempting the night’s shadows can truly be, and warm blood begins to unfreeze the coldness of the undead’s heart.
But every secret kept in the dark will come to light eventually, dead or alive.
