Once childhood friends, Lewis and Nico started to find comfort in one another when they both became Formula 1 drivers. On paper, they were rivals. Especially when they're both in Mercedes. In secret, they are so much more than that.
Notes:
Apparently I am capable of writing other ships than Bearnelli -- don't get too used to it though. I watched Heated Rivalry and just knew I had to write some AU inspired by it, but it didn't feel right as Bearnelli. So have Kimi's parents instead.

This was an amazing fic! I haven't watched Heated Rivalry but if it's half as good as this, I might just have to. I love the way you wrote them yearning for each other, it was almost physically painful to read about them both wanting nothing more than loving each other loudly and not being able to. Especially when, at the height of their rivalry, they still desired each other without a doubt. I'm sure I'll be back to reread this fic sooner or later!!

some notes before we start:
- i've written about 3/4 of the fic so far, so updates should come relatively quick
- because ollie obviously can't race, in this fic jack is the haas driver and franco has driven for alpine the whole season
- the only realistic part of this fic is the timeline
- i'm not 100% sure yet how i want to go about formatting the chat portions, so that might change in the future
