Anaxa almost trips and swears as he stumbles on a couple steps down the staircase, his rifle bumping against his legs with every movement. It’s uncomfortable, but he’d rather get out of there fast than adjust for his own comfort.
“Oh, be careful Anaxagoras. Some of the steps have rotted away during its disuse.” He swears she’s smiling.
“Cerces, what did you do?!”
To execute a hit, Anaxa goes undercover as a femme fatale, only to catch the eye of a white-haired hitman looking for a good time.
Completely oblivious to each other's true identities, the two become entangled in a game of cat-and-mouse where Anaxa must dodge relentless flirting just as often as a knife to the throat.
