I'm alone in the dark
With no light to guide me.
Until she arises
To stand right behind me.
She's like a shield that protects me;
Because when they attack,
She steps foreward to face them,
And begins to strike back.
She's like my guardian angel-
She's cool and she's kind.
And I never have to worry
That she'll leave me behind.
But if she does,
I'll surely fall.
Without that line of defense,
I'd certainly lose it all.
Because I'm alone in the dark
With no light to guide me.
Until she arises
To stand right beside me.
