"A-Lian," Gu Mang called out, happily, not faltering at the glare on the other boy's face. Gu Mang seemed all too happy to wave at him, but Mo Xi tensed and drew closer to Gu Mang as the other boy approached.
The other boy seemed to notice. "Get away from my brother," the boy hissed, narrowing his eyes in a warning.
Gu Mang laughed, but Mo Xi let out a defiant little, "No." Then, to the shock of everyone present—himself excluded—, "Gu Mang-gege is mine," he declared, puffing up his chest again.
In which Mo Xi and Gu Mang meet much sooner and it changes everything.
Or: 5 times Gu Mang didn't take Mo Xi's courting attempts seriously, and the one time he did.
