    They look like they’re glowing. Well—not glowing. But reflecting. Like animals’ eyes do.

    He grabs the stack on the table, flipping through to find some of the other pictures of him...Jesus Christ. Jonathan feels his blood go cold and drop right through him.

    The first had been a girl who was sweet, really sweet, her eyes shining whenever he’d smiled at her.

    She sat down next to him silently, glancing at him and smiling when they caught each other’s eye on the edges of their vision. She had been close enough that he could smell her perfume as she sat down, and it had been then that the idea flickered into his head.

    He could eat her.
