Summary
Teenage Dennis had never meant to be different. He'd tried really, really hard not to be, actually. It's too bad that trying had only made his difference more obvious - to himself, and to his parents.
At 35 years old, Dennis Whitaker has learned to pride himself on his own survival, and while having struggled with faith, has nonetheless found purpose. And in year one of his residency, he may have finally met his match in determination and stubbornness - if they can survive together long enough to figure out what it really means to thrive.
