Summary
"What I want— No, what I need is for you to marry me, Prince Jisung," King Lee says, his tone leaving no room for negotiation, and yet, his scent has gone damp. Jisung wants to ask what it means, why his scent has changed when he asked Jisung to marry him, but he has more pressing issues at hand.
Jisung continues to walk beside King Lee, his mind racing as he tries to figure out how to respond. His mother's voice rings in his head, telling him to trust his instincts, to trust his omega, but his omega is confused, as is he.
"I do not see how a betrothal to me would stop Cloudcrest's advances on Shorehaven," he says, voice tight.

Jisung's head snaps to King Lee's face, and he realizes the king's intention.
