Summary
Yu Ijin can dismantle a sniper nest without blinking, calculate wind trajectory mid-combat, and take down armed mercenaries twice his size — but high school math might finally be the thing that defeats him.
When 008 takes it upon himself to tutor Ijin, the rest of the Numbers insist on “helping.” Unfortunately, none of them understand a single thing about quadratic functions either. What begins as a simple study session quickly devolves into confusion, arguments about the legitimacy of the variable “x,” 004 stress-eating fried chicken, and 006 offering increasingly unhelpful battlefield solutions.
When 032 inevitably hacks into the teacher’s computer to grab the test answers, it’s up to 002 to remind them that not every battle is won by cheating.
In the end, the Numbers may not understand math — but they do understand standing beside each other. Even if the real enemy is algebra.
