    Summary

When Aerion sees who enters through the door to Maekar’s chambers, he almost bares his canines to hiss.

“As of recently, your jests are losing both humor and wit, Father,” he forces through the clenched teeth, his face stilling in an ugly grimace. “A hedge knight turned my sworn shield?”

At the age of six and teen, Aerion Brightflame Targaryen burns everything he touches with an almost perverse kind of satisfaction. In an attempt to stop him from destroying his own reputation before his time to look for a mate comes, his father decides to place him in the care of the most patient of Kingsguard stationed in the Red Keep.
    The fall is inevitable.
