Summary
Tyler Skiendiel went for a run in the woods and never came back. Three months later, they found him in a ravine with a gun in his hand—an open-and-shut case of suicide, the police ruled. But his younger sister Megan knew: the brother who taught her to see the soul in shadows and reflections couldn't have left willingly. Among his things, she found a strange stone with a hole in it and a name circled in his notebook. That's how she ended up in a shabby office in Koreatown, where a girl with eyes that saw right through her said straight out: "He didn't shoot himself." Together with her team—a sharp-tongued archivist and a silent photographer whose camera captures what's hidden from sight—Daniela Avanzini opens a door for Megan into a world where reality intertwines with darkness, and the price of truth might be too high.
