Zenitsu POV
As he wakes up with a gasp, he looks around at the unfamiliar trees he looks to his side and sees Tanjirou as Zenitsu quickly gets up and checks on Tanjirou, his memories come crashing into him, He remembered winning the fight against Muzan and then Tanjirou becoming a demon and having to fight him and kanao successfully turning him back into human then… He remembers nothing after that.
It’s one thing to have spotty memory, but it’s another thing to completely not know what happened after the fight with Tanjirou, and what’s with them both being in this creepy ass forest zenitsu thought to himself as he picked up Tondreau and started walking, you can start picking out later first things first he thought to himself you need to find a place to rest while you wait for tanjirou to wake up.
Zenitsu walks for several hours and accidentally stumbles upon a cave once he’s made sure that there’s no animal that lives there he puts him down, takes off his haori and lays Tanjirou on it. He goes out and finds some sticks for a fire, he comes back and starts a fire and he sits down against the cave wall his thoughts begin to wander as he waits for tanjirou to wake up.
Tanjirou POV
As Tanjirou wakes up, he’s greeted with the site of zenitsu laying across for him and him tanjirou is a momentarily terribly confused and then piece by piece, his memories come back to him, he jolts right up and goes to wake up Zenitsu he hears him mumbled to himself about his Gramps And how he should give him 10 more minutes before training. Zenitsu “wake up, it's me Tanjirou”
as zenitsu peels, his eyes open, he met with the site of tanjirou
