Uzi was laying in her bed, not looking at her phone, not listening to music, not doing anything. They have been dealing with burnout for a while, but this week was especially rough. They couldn’t find the energy to go to school, or even take care of themself for that matter. If it wasn’t for Nori and N bringing her food and drinks, she would probably just be dehydrated snd starving. She was lucky both her mom and boyfriend knew how to make her safe foods and were willing to help her.
She saw her phone light up with a notification- a message from N.
> Hi buddy!! I’m gonna come over soon:3 do you need anything?
They smiled at the screen, admiring how sweet he is, then sent a quick response.
> nope but thanks for asking<3 come quicklyyy i miss u
She put down her phone and continued laying and staring at a wall, not thinking of anything in particular. She couldn’t tell how much time has passed, but she suddenly heard a knock before the door to her room opened and N appeared in the doorway.
„Hiii!” N said happily and came into the room holding two plates. „Your mom made dinner!”
„I don’t know if I’m hungry to be honest… What is it?” They responded, slowly lifting themself into a sitting position.
„Meatballs, the ones you like! She made them plain too.” N said while sitting on the bed and handing one of the plates to Uzi. It was a divided plate, with meatballs with tomato sauce on one part and plain rice on the other. N also gave them one of their favorite plastic forks. Uzi smiled at the thoughtfulness of her mom, making a mental note to thank her later.
„Can you try eating at least some of it, Uzi?” N asked and gently pet her hair.
„Yeah… sorry for, um… looking so messy by the way…” She said, suddenly realizing she hasn’t really gotten dressed or showered in a couple days. She felt gross, but she couldn’t get herself to shower, since it took too much energy, which she didn’t really have.
„Oh Uzi… You know I don’t care about that!” N embraced her and put his head on hers. „But if you want, I can help you shower after we finish eating, if that would make you feel better?”
„If you don’t mind… that would be cool, I guess…” They responded, trying to keep up their persona, but melting under his soft touch. Robo-god, this boy made her so sappy.
They finished their dinner, Uzi ending up eating more than a half, which earned her a very excited and proud kiss from N. He then scooped her up and went up to her closet.
„What do you want to wear? Are these pjs okay?”
„Yeah… they’re fine.” They responded and grabbed it from his hand.
The couple then headed to the bathroom. N put Uzi down and and started helping her undress.
„Can I?” He asked while holding the bottom of her shirt. Uzi responded by nodding.
„Okay! Arms up!” He said and pulled up the shirt. Then, he helped her take off the rest of her clothes and get into the bathtub.
„What do you want me to help you with?” He asked, not wanting to make them feel uncomfortable with anything.
„Umm, I can wash from waist down, then you can help with the rest?” They said.
N nodded and turned the water on, making sure it was the right temperature.
„Is this okay?”
„Yes, just make it a bit colder when you wash my hair, cuz you know.. hair dye.”
He giggled and assured her he will comply, then he started running the water across her body. She washed her body from waist down and then sat down to let N do the rest. He started with her arms, then he stopped before touching her torso.
„You sure you’re okay with me washing you here?”
„Yeah, don’t worry bud.”
With the consent he continued, while Uzi’s eyes wandered. They ended up looking at her legs, that were covered with scars and some newer scabs. N noticed and gave them a kiss on the cheek, which got their attention.
„What’s that for?”
„Just reminding you I love you and you’re perfect!”
Uzi giggled. How did he manage to always know what she needed? „You’re so cringe.”
„And free!”
They both laughed as N moved on to washing her hair. He massaged her scalp, which made Uzi relax and really lean into his touch. N smiled seeing how she reacted. He then rinsed off all the soap and held her hand while she got out of the bathtub. He wrapped them in a towel and dried their hair with a towel.
„Do you want me to dry your hair?”
„Nah, it’s fine. The dryer is noisy.” She responded.
N helped her put on her pyjamas. It was a set with shorts and a t-shirt and it had some skulls on it. He then carried Uzi back to their room.
„Thank you so much N… I feel a lot better now, actually.” Uzi said while cuddling close to her boyfriend.
„No problem buddy! I love taking care of you.” He said and leaned in to kiss her on the forehead. „What do you wanna do now?”
„I think I want to play danganronpa… Haven’t done it in a while.” Uzi said and reached for her laptop.
„Okay! Cuddles?” N said, basically looking at her with puppy eyes.
„Of course, dummy.” They said and leaned back into him.
They spent the rest of the night playing the game and cuddling, until Uzi’s eyes started closing on their own. N noticed them basically falling asleep, so he saved the game and put the laptop to the side. He hugged Uzi closer and covered both of them with a blanket, then started drifting off to sleep himself.
