“Crown Prince.”
The voice against his ear purrs, echoing in the silence of the ball as the music comes to a halt with whoever he was dancing with pressed against him.
“I finally found you.”
Those words like a siren’s song in his ears give him pause, yet his body still moves as the first note plays. Like he was being puppeteered, drawn into that magenta-aqua eye like a sailor drowning at sea, unable to fully regain control of his limbs as they moved across the floor as one.
