the snow drifted in a lightweight way across the sky, piling amongst each other upon the ground.
c00lkidd watched as the snowflakes fell one by one, mesmerized by their movements. he knelt on the couch as his hands pressed up against the glass, his breath periodically fogged it up.
007n7 just happened to be walking by, slinging his tie around his neck to get ready for work. he had to take on four jobs just to take care of his son, but it was worth it in the end, seeing c00lkidd’s joyous smile was all that he needed to push on.
“daddy! come look!”
007n7 diverted his attention to his son and he approached him, placing a hand on his shoulder.
“the snow is nice, isn’t it?” he said, a gentle smile graced upon his lips now.
c00lkidd eagerly nodded, turning to his father.
“can we go play?” he asks with excitement lacing his features.
007n7 hesitated for a moment, he knew that his son was going to ask that question, but he really did need to go to work…
007n7’s hand became firm against c00lkidd’s shoulder, “sorry buddy, but i need to get to work today, maybe tomorrow?”
c00lkidd frowned, looking up at his father with genuine remorse.
“…please? you’re always at work and i have no one to play with!”
007n7 sighed and contemplated on staying, his gaze shifted aside.
c00lkidd was true though, he had to juggle many jobs to keep decent income flowing in. but sometimes a break or two wouldn’t be a problem, especially on a snowy day like this.
“alright, i’ll stay home then.”
c00lkidd instantly started cheering, jumping up and down in joy as he embraced his father tightly. “thank you, thank you!!!”
007n7 chuckled softly and delicately removed c00lkidd from the embrace, “okay, wait here, i’ll be right back.” and he exited the living room to head to his office where the phone lied.
“hello? uh yeah, i’m not feeling too well today so i’m calling in sick…. okay thank you.”
007n7 returned back to the living room, where c00lkidd sat patiently on the couch, his vibrant red jacket and boots already put on.
“hi daddy! can we go now?” he kicked his feet energetically.
007n7 nodded with a smile, “yes, but i have to change first and then we can go.”
“okay!!”
after changing, 007n7 swiftly came back to the living room with a blue jacket and dark colored boots on.
“alrighty! let’s go!”
c00lkidd nodded eagerly and immediately began to sprint outside once his father opened the front door.
007n7 smiled warmly, seeing his son happily running across the pillowy layers of soft snow. he piled some snow and flicked it up to the sky, watching while the flakes floated back down.
a few moments passed before a snowball exploded on 007n7’s back. he looked back to see c00lkidd giggling, his mittens were covered in snow.
007n7 laughed and balled up some snow, aiming it at c00lkidd who giggled again as it gently hit his shoulder.
“oh it’s on!” he yelled with a snowball already equipped in his hand. he chucked it at 007n7.
they continued back and forth, with c00lkidd earning the most hits, mostly because 007n7 purposefully tried to lose for the sake of his son.
“haha! i wo—“
however, c00lkidd’s triumph was cut off by a huge snowball that knocked him down.
following that, 007n7 became a little worried that maybe he hit him too hard, so he swiftly made his way over to his son.
“hey, buddy are you okay?” he asked softly, patting c00lkidd’s back delicately.
in response, c00lkidd raised a thumbs up as he faced his father. “yeah! that was awesome!”
007n7 sighed in relief and chuckled before standing up again.
“lets go again, then!”
