Danny Fenton looks around for any of ghosts as Red Huntress begins to scan the cubes around them. He walks around carefully peaking around corners for any sign of life.
Someone slid instructions to them, did they not give instructions to the others? Why only them? Danny finds no one else around in the gym. Looking out the windows his confusion grows as he sees another white box. So they trap him in one white box that they tell him how to escape and then have another bigger white box to prevent further escape. Why?
He stands there dumbfounded at the entire situation. He still can not use his powers, is that why they added another white box? Danny returns to Valerie and informs him of his discoveries. She in turn tells him that their are indeed people inside of the smaller white boxes.
Both of them are confused on the next step for a few minutes before deciding to try and break one of the white boxes themselves. A few minutes later and nothing happens to the white box.
They sit for a moment before deciding to fiddle with the tablet. Danny sits to the side watching as Valerie figures it out. She mat not be a wiz with technology but she is good at figuring things out. It only takes half an hour before she figures out how to reconfigure the tablet. They slid the tablet under one of the white boxes.
The two of them sit together as they waited, and waited. Nothing happened leaving the two of them frustrated. They pound on the door of the white cube but again nothing.
After a moment of frustrated silence Danny suggest using the climbing ropes still attached to the ceiling to try and get a better look outside. Valerie agrees to it also not knowing what else to do. Danny watches her climb upwards. her natural athletic ability far greater than his. No matter how hard he trains, his noodle arms can never do him any good.
“What do you see?” he calls out to her.
She says nothing for a few moments. “Nothing.”
“What do you mean nothing? Do you mean you only see the white cube? Or?” Danny asks confused to her response.
“I mean nothing just the white cube. No vegetation or other building, nothing.”
“Huh, how odd,” is the only thing he can say. A chill runs down his spin though as he looks out the window. A small black dot, but not a normal dot or anything, but one of the abyss. Nocturn, a ghost who has dreams of being like a god. All of the oddities make sense now. This is only a dream that ghost made to observe and taunt him with.
Danny wonders if Valerie is even here with him now. He is not entirely sure even as he becomes more aware of the fluidity of dreams. He hears Valerie calling out to him as he walks through the wall and awakens on the abandoned gym floor. Valerie's prone body next to him.
