Chapter Text

Vuk'teya, a beautiful home.

Vuk'teya is the name of my home, on my planet, it's called Vuk'teya Ey'ta ma. It means Tribe of the Wilds.

I grew up in a big community, a community with amazing people and friends that kept me company! My parents are great people too. My mom, Uväkaye, she's a sweet lady. She's very understanding and kind towards our small family, and she's also the lead healer in our tribe. Mother tends to all kinds of people, warriors, hunters, elderly, adolescents, children, animals even.

My father, Pomte'kulan, is the chief of the warriors that protect and serve the people of Vuk'teya. Father is a protective man, he tries his best at anything he does with the pride of a Gu'tsyakai (An twelve legged, 2 meter tall spider-like creature) and the modesty like a Willyoté (A jellyfish-like creature that lives on air). Either way, he does everything he can to be able to keep us together and happy, which was the best qualities about my father and my mother. My joy couldn't be matched with the joy that I got when I used to play games, weave homes for families, and do hunting training with my best friend; Fa'lí.

Well..Uh..Hey. I'm Ruyéy, Ruyéy te Teysáva Uväkaye'ite. I'm just..A girl from the moon. Tzitarrah. We are known collectively as Tu'vaña ie Kayō, People of a Moon. We are people of many cultures, many derivatives of how we do the same things, and yet are still united by the very thing we are gifted with. The Yvonos. A given ability by an animal known as the Tzítaka, which is known as an ancient being that's been here since the creation of our planet. They obtain these abilities from the Great Father, who was the first man on Tzitarrah to bring the Tzítaka together as one to fight corruption that had come to our homes millennials ago. For a time of great time of tragedy and misfortune had come upon us, although..We have not had such big moments like these for the years to come, until now that is..

Ruyey was a beautiful girl amongst her village, just like the other women around her. She had porcelain pale skin (UV works differently on Tzitarrah, so the more exposed you are, the paler you get, the less exposed, you’re relatively darker.), Wavy desert brown hair that accentuated all the way down to her thighs and had these gold eyes that look like the sun.

Ruyéy has a peaceful heart, she’s a pacifist (most of the time) and loves to maintain relationships with those she grows to trust and love. Although when danger is met, she will either do her best to resolve it by talking it through or actually do harm if the situation is certainly severe.

Towards strangers however, she can be quiet and simply observe. Unless hostility is shown, she isn't afraid to bite back with attitude. So it all varies based on how she’s treated.

5 Years Earlier…

The day had already been passing by, and it was just a casual outing outside and me and Fa'lí were playing with our friend group in the village. We ran around the familiar sandy paths, greeting shopkeepers, butchers, and other people along the way! "Ugh..! Ruyéy! Haya kíté molapoh!" ('You're going too fast!') Fa'lí grumbled as she tried keeping up with me, my head turning immediately to look at her before stopping my movements and turned my body to face her. "Ay! Eýfa, Eýfa! Tu'kà íte suhagu!" ('Ay! Come, come! I'll hold your hand!') I said as I offered her my hand. Fa'lí took it and I gently tugged her along with me, immediately catching up to my pace as we ran around the village, losing the rest of our friend group as we came to a stop, hearing some type of loud roaring sound from the sky.

We both froze, looked at each other, and ran back towards the market! "AHHH!" We both screamed while some of the people let out laughs, we weren't used to this! What the hell was happening?! Whatever it was, it was foreign, not good? Not bad? Ugh! Anyway, we both ran to Yuka'ná's home, she lived in the pod closest to the market that we knew of, and we entered the open pod as the people of our village came over to an unknown thing that landed on our grounds, although..They didn't seem scared..?

"Yuka'ná! Duumsha grrànfa wök'la!" ('Yuka'ná! Something is outside our village!') Fa'lí alerted while I stood by her side with a shiver went down my back, Yuka'ná looking from the openness of her pod and her eyes brightened, coming over to us and kneeled down. "Tu'shava yé goh'tám, tu'shava rráña fuuno! Ekuytañ syu Tamaran. Eýfa." ('They're no harm, they're family friends! They come from Tamaran. Come.') She encouraged us as she headed out of her pod, me and Fa'lí looked at each other more curiously before walking with Yuka'ná outside. We went back outsie with her and followed her down to the main pathway of the market and out to the entrance of our village, my hand tightening over Fa'lì's as we approached the crowd of people. Among those crowd of people, we saw a big..Shell..? Dome..? Whatever it is, we saw people come out of it. My dad and our village's Rrumdrra (Leader), Tuk'rrana came close, thier hands moving to their forehead and lowered them as they greeted the other people..

"Míloi'ney, Myand'r! Luand'r!" Dad and Tuk'rrana greeted the tall man, he stood firm and tall before he smiled and reciprocated the action back. "Gorfluk, Tuk'rrana! Pomte'kulan!" The man greeted back, a pretty woman reciprocating the same action back. The only thing I could understand was the names and the way my dad and Tuk'rrana greeted the two people. Many others came put from the dome thing too. The people of our village happily greeted them! This was all weird.. I look to my left and Fa'lì was not near me anymore! I looked around entirely and I see her with her mom, so she should be fine.

I went up to dad and held his hand. He looked down at me and smiled, kneeling down on one knee and put his right hand on my shoulder. "Ruyéy, Tu'mákto íte Rrumdrra ye Tamaran, Rrumdrra Myand'r íte Quõr'dana Luand'r." ('Ruyéy, this is the King of Tamaran, Chief Myand'r and Queen Luand'r.') Father spoke to me before pressing the tip of his fingers to his forehead and moved it down to gently press his hand down on my forehead. My eyes widening slightly as I felt a slight rush in my back and a tingling sensation in my head, it felt ticklish.! But when I nodded and looked over at the King and queen, I lowered down from my waist up and reciprocated the sign to them.

"Míloi'ney." I greeted quietly as I rose back up from my bow. "Míloi'ney, little one." The king spoke to me before looking at my father. "I have a daughter who's probably around your daughter's age!" He cheered with a booming laugh before turning his head. I saw a young girl, she was around the same height as me..And she had dark pink hair! We both shared eye contact before I waved to her, walking up to her. "Uhm...Hello." I greeted awkwardly, the girl remaining silent before coming up to me and waving. "..Hi." She answered quietly, a silence flowing between us while our dads and Tuk'rrana began speaking. My mother eventually catching up along the crowd and began talking to Miss Luand'r. I looked around to see everyone being..So happy together, being welcoming..Huh. Are these people friends from what was that planet..? Tamaran.

"What is your name.?" The girl asked me. "I'm Ruyéy. Ruyéy te Teysáva Uväkaye'ite." I introduced myself, although she seemed to look comically confused! "Oh-You can just call me Ruyéy though." I reassured before a silence slipped between us again, and then laughter erupted between us for a moment. "And I am Koriand'r! It is pleasantries to meet you, Ruyéy!" She introduced herself, a smile slipping onto my face before I gently took her hand.

"Come! We can go hangout with my best friend, Fa'lí!" I encouraged the girl, looking up at her father for a moment before he nodded with assurance, giving her a gentle pat on the back before we both went off to find Fa'lí!

When we found Falí, her, me and Koriand'r had been running around the village, showing the princess around our town and talking to her about our Tribe's history, showing her our foods and culture, and so much more! She talked about her own way of living on..Tame-..Tamaran. It felt nice getting to know somebody new to us, and Koriand'r was pretty happy and enjoyed the things we do here in Vuk'teya!

Unfortunately and oddly..The hours we spent had passed by a bit too fast, so fast to where when all three of us were about to eat some of our spicy scorpion meat, Koriand'r had to leave! It was upsetting because we didn't even get to finish our conversations! But alas, she had to leave anyway. When we met up with our parents where the big dome was, I saw mama and pa giving hugs and handshakes to her parents, looking around. I saw everyone doing the same thing. Looking at Koriand'r I frowned a little bit. I was just getting to know her and then she had to leave before I could know any more!

"It's okay, Ruyéy, we will see her again." Fa'lí reassured me, I looked at her for a moment before I nodded, looking at Koriand'r with a small smile. "Will we meet again one day?" She asked with a worried expression, my arms opening slightly as Fa'lí did the same. "Mhm, definitely!" I answered before she came forward and hugged both me and Fa'lí, giggles leaving our mouths before Rrumdrra Myand'r gently patted Koriand'r's shoulder. "Let's go, Koriand'r." He gently told me with a smile that showed how happy he was.

Koriand'r pulled away from the hug and held her papa's hand. Waving to us as she began walking backwards. "Bye Ruyéy, Fa'lí! I hope to see you again in the future!" She yelled her farewell to me and Fa'lí waved back. "Byee! We'll miss you!" We said in sync, watching as the other people got on the ship. We remained on the desert sand until the dome thing closed and it began to take off. Me and Fa'lí had to cover our ears because of how loud it was!

But that was the first and last time we ever saw her.
