Working out the details, Pt.1

Summary:

Bruce says that Percy and Jason need a gala to announce their engagement, though they have trouble deciding on a theme for it

Notes:

Hey guys...

Sorry for going missing for basically the entire month. I don't have anything to say other than the first day I was sick again, and it lasted for a bit, then school started again, then I forgot about this series.

I'm hoping to get out as many as I can and get back to daily. I will try my best, but I can't promise anything for certain.

Love you all!

Work Text:

Somehow, the press got wind of Jason’s and Percy’s engagement, which meant that if they ever tried going out, at least 10 cameras were shoved in their faces.

Unfortunately, Jason knew that it would continue to happen unless they planned something. Most likely a gala.

There were some ups to Jason coming back from the dead, both physically and legally; this was not one.

So, planning a gala led to him and Percy sitting in Bruce’s office with Bruce and Tim, trying to figure out how it was going to happen and when. Or more like Jason planned while Percy watched and laughed at him.

Jason swore he was going to go more gray than he already was from coming back.

At one point, they were just trying to figure out the theme for the gala. Jason wanted something more casual, but Bruce insisted on something more.

Which is what led to both Percy and Tim laughing at Jason.

“You know what? No. I am not standing for this slander, this laughter,” Jason said, which set Percy and Tim off more.

‘So dramatic,’ Percy signed. Tim nodded in agreement, not able to speak because of his laughter.

“I don’t understand, what’s wrong with more than just a casual gala?” Bruce asked.

Jason rolled his eyes, “Because I don’t like being in the spotlight, Bruce. It’s not fun.”

Bruce just shook his head but looked down at the paper, figuring out the theme and attendees.

“How about a mascaraed?” Tim asked.

Jason didn’t actually mind that idea, and Percy seemed on board with it as well.

“Alright, I’m good with that,” Jason said. Percy nodded.

“Alright, we have the theme, now, who’s attending?”
