Summary
After everything is set up, he starts mixing up the batter. Regulus must have woken up at some point, since James’ concentration is broken by a metallic *clang* on the floor. He turns around to see Regulus sitting on the table near the edge and one of the metallic measuring cups that was half full of flour all over the floor.
”Really Reg? Really?” James looks at him disappointed.
Regulus has the most smug look a cat can have after doing something they're not supposed to.
It’s all downhill from there.
Regulus can be a real pain in the ass when not in the mood for people. James’ little calm baking time turned into a real cat-astrophe.
OR
James is woken up by a paw slap and he later tries making a cake while Regulus is being a little shit as a cat.
Regulus as a grumpy cat, towel burrito cat, a drenched cat and in need of a hug all included in the meal with a side of partially burned chocolate cake and some feelings.
