   Summary

   Shanghai, 1977. The Cultural Revolution has ended, Mao Zedong has passed, and China begins opening to foreign trade under Deng Xiaoping. In this shifting world, Wang Yao, a Chinese boy, meets Ivan Braginsky, a Russian classmate, at school, and their lives begin to intertwine in unexpected ways. Through festivals, school days, and small gestures, their bond deepens amid the echoes of history. As they get older, something had interfered in their relationship, resulting to seperation.
