Work Text:

Two mechs took a stroll through Iacon, servos intertwined.

It was a lovely day for a walk. No acid rain in the forecast. Bee looked up at his mechfriend, the other mech looking back.

“What is it?”

Breakdown asked.

“Don't you think it's about time for our first kiss?”

Bee asked back.

Bee’s mechfriend looked at him with a grin.

“Well if you insist~”

Mere seconds later, their lips connected together. The two mechs embraced each other in a hug, Bee wrapping his arms around Breakdown’s neck, and Breakdown wrapping his arms around Bee's waist.

When they pulled away from the kiss, both mechs smiled. Bee spoke up after.

“I liked that.”

“Yeah? Wanna do it again?”

Breakdown asked with a smirk.

“Of course.”

Bee answered, initiating the kiss this time.

Two mechs laid on the ground, bloodied and almost lifeless.

The war was hard to live through, that applied to everyone. Even the two racers. Bee suffered heavy energon loss from missing a leg. Breakdown suffered the same from missing an arm, but he was barely conscious.

Bee dragged himself over to his Conjunx with all the strength he had left, struggling to even speak.

“Wake up…Breakdown please…”

Bee dragged himself further, being able to make it to the other racer and grab ahold of him. Bee tried shaking him a bit. The barely conscious mech made a small sound, meaning he was still alive.

“Breakdown…it's okay…I'm here.”

The yellow in the mech's optics were fading, but he managed to open his optics just a bit more, looking at Bee.

Bee shed happy tears knowing his Conjunx was still alive, though the feeling faded when he realized how bad their conditions were.

Neither one of them were going to make it.

“I'm here…okay…?”

Bee watched as tears fell from Breakdown's optics.

“Don't cry…I'm here.”

Bee leaned over and gave Breakdown a soft kiss.

When Bee pulled away, he saw that Breakdown's optics were dark and realized that his Conjunx was dead. Bee started sobbing, hoping that Breakdown felt the kiss before he passed. Bee laid next to Breakdown, his own optics beginning to fade.

He laid there, waiting for Primus to claim his spark and reunite him with his beloved Conjunx.
