Chapter Text
"Today, we are throwing a funeral for Shirley..." Hanbon says, using her fist to wipe tears from her eyes.
Anthony is behind the camera, and Coy is standing next to Hanbon and in front of a tiny coffin. Their emotions are boiling up, ready to spill over, and each and every one of them has to pretend to feel better than they do, for the camera.
"We miss her very much." Coy begins.
"She was.. a dear friend, a beloved cousin, and a very moisturized girl. She is in a better place now, dancing in the flower fields."
Coy holds back tears as he speaks through a shaky voice, his hands balled into fists at his sides.
Anthony turns the camera around, and you can tell he's been crying for a while with the way his eyes are bloodshot and his cheeks are damp.
"We miss you, Shirley." He says, before turning the camera back around.
Hanbon, through her sobs, opens her mouth to speak.
"And most of all, Will was... wait. Where is Will?"
They all look around and begin to feel panic shooting through their bloodsteams. The last time any of them say Will, he was crying in his room over Shirley, and now he's just gone?
They all knew Will would definitely come to Shirley's funeral. There must be something else going on.
"Will? Will!"
Hanbon yells, running to Will's room.
"He's not here, guys!"
"WILL!!!" Screams Coy.
"We'll go look for him! Maybe he's out in the city!" Yells Anthony.
"Yes! Let's all go, now!" Responds Coy.
—
The streets are cold on this particular day, colder than they should be in April. Coy feels it's because Shirley is gone, and now so is Will. A bunch of friends with only three people? That's a trio!
They've printed out "missing Will" flyers and are hanging them up all across town, Hanbon walking further than Coy and Anthony. Both their phone numbers and names are on the flyers, incase anyone has information on their Wahony case.
"Excuse me? Do you know Will? Will Wahony?" Asks Anthony to a random person, and the stranger shakes her head.
"Do you know Will?"
"Our friend is missing. Do you know him?"
"Will? Will Wahony? Anyone?"
Spinning in circles, Coy sobs, while Hanbon slams her fist against a desk that happens to be in front of her.
"IT'S SO NOT PEAK!" She yells, yet she feels no amount of noise could accurately portray how she feels inside.
"Guys, guys! Calm down! We can do this. Coy, Hanbon, you guys go to the west side of town. I'll go to the east side."
Coy and Hanbon look at Anthony before nodding simultaneously and skipping across the road towards the west.
—
Walking around a secluded park, Coy and Hanbon wonder what they should do next. They look around, call Will's name a few times, but after five minutes of nobody responding, they're left hopeless and lost.
"Hey, Coy?"
Hanbon begins.
"Yeah?"
"Don't you think... Anthony is being a little strange? He's been so quiet up until now and he just suggested we split up for no reason. It's like he knows more than us..."
Coy sighs, exhausted from running across town, but he frowns and nods.
"Yeah.. you might be right. But, let's not assume anything too quickl-"
RING RING!
Hanbon gasps and picks up her phone as fast as she can. Her thumb shakes as she presses the button.
"Yes?!"
They both wait for a reply, their hearts pounding furiously.
...
"I know where Will is."
