February Wump Bonus Day 37 You Would Have Loved This

Work Text:

Music plays from the orchestra as he dances with his wife. A rare public appearance that he made for an old friend. Appearing to others to assure them, that no, he has not gone mad in the countryside where he lives now 90% of the time. A drastic change he had made but one that he made to have peace.

Peace with his beloved. No one heres knows where Katsuki Bakugou ended up and no one really cares outside of spreading lavish gossip. Currently people are talking about how Kachan is definitely in another country right now, trying to cause problems on the nobles in the countryside. One person swears that they saw him personally.

Izuku for his part just smiles and laughs, shaking his head when anyone asks him about it. People know that they are childhood friends but no one here knows how deep the obsession goes. They do not know how much he has done to ensure that Kachan couldn’t leave his side, ever.

The ball goes on and on. Kachan would have loved this, not that he would be invited as most people here hate his guts. Kachan would have so much fun mocking various people for different things, hair, clothing, even how they laughed. He would cause trouble for the waitstaff for not being proper servants. For not bringing the food in time or being too in the way, no matter how hard they try to rise to his standards.

Kachan would get drunk and make it everyone else problem. Saying things that are not polite to utter out loud to unfamiliar people. Stumble around everywhere knocking things and people over. Ignoring the hosts polite begging for him to leave as he demands more. Always demand more. All the while Izuku is there by his side trying to smooth things over.

So entitled to other people and how they are expected to accommodate him. Yet he wants to leave his room in the attic. He wants to talk to other people again. He promises to behave this time after years of scolding, it is only when Izuku loses all hope and puts Kachan somewhere he won’t cause a fuss. Only then did Kachan humble himself to beg for another chance.

Unfortunately it is too late for him. Izuku is done covering for his bratty and undisciplined behavior. His mother may have laughed it off and his father may have shrugged uncaring but not Izuku. Kachan made his bed and now he will lie in it.

No more freedom or independence, from now on he can stay in the attic, where Izuku can keep an eye on him. Kachan is easier to handle there. Izuku can even get him to behave as he wants. Crying on his cock promising to behave for a few moments in an actual sun. They can have actual conversations with each other. Even if Kachan has little to say he can no obediently listen to him. Life is better when Kachan is in the attic.

The dance he does with his wife ends. The two of them go and sit down having a jovial conversation with one another and the people at their table. More people come and talk to him without his disruptive childhood friend hanging off of him. The night is peaceful, it makes him feel even better as he thinks of Kachan, grumpily waiting for his return. As he has no choice otherwise having destroyed any other option.
