Waves and thunder crashed around, rain beating heavily against the struggling ship as it sailed through the rough storm with a man in a red coat at the helm and navigating it as best as he could. “Blast this storm! Horrendous it be!” The captain, Hook, yelled in dismay, “But it will never shake the great and glorious Captain Hook from his steady course for treasure!” He proclaimed, raising a finger in the air as if to defy the storm above until a loud growling sound came from nearby. Frightened, Hook looked towards the source and stammered a little. “What, what...?” He muttered before a large, purple creature arose from the depths of the sea beside the ship, growling at the captain who backed away from the wheel of the ship. “What be this? Is this the end of...of me?” He questioned. “Captain! Captain! Wakey-wakey!” The sea beast suddenly spoke.
-
“You’re having a nightmare!” The man’s voice broke through as Hook shot awake and gasped, falling back from the wheel as him and a young boy quickly moved out of the way, the captain breathing heavily and looking around as two other men were busy doing their chores - One cleaning a dish and the other tying knots in a rope. “A nightmare you say? I thought I was a goner.” Hook said, catching his breath, “Monsters at sea and the such!” He added. “Ooh! Sounds monstrous.” The man, Sharky, commented as his partner, Bones, stopped cleaning the dish. “Sounds like you shouldn’t have had that double-double codfish and green cheese sandwich last night,” He added.
“Papas, that’s not helping Uncle Hook.” The young boy, Seth, pointed out in concern. “Now, Seth’s right. Be nice to the captain, boys. He’s hardly slept for days now, what with him looking for that old sunken shipwreck.” Smee explained as Captain Hook shook his head. “Mr.Smee, the Mighty Colossus is no mere wreck. Legends say that tons of treasure filled that fabled vessel!” He explained. “I heard the ship was colossal!” Sharky piped up. “It was really big too!” Bones added before the two got down and whipped out their instruments as Seth realized what was about to happen and pulled out his pennywhistle.
“The Mighty Colossus!” The pair began singing, surprising Smee and Hook a little. “It was a fight for Neverland in a battle on the Never Sea. A ship with a hundred sails, was sailing on a stormy sea.” They sang together before splitting the verses. “And the captain stood upon the deck, the same day that his ship would wreck.” Sharky sang. “But Neptune needed help that day.” Bones sang. “From Mighty Colossus!” They said, “A serpent rose up from the sea, the battle waged on valiantly.” Bones sang while being lifted up by Sharky. “They sent the monster to the deep.” Sharky sang after him. “The Mighty Colossus!” The three sang together.
“Though the captain and the king had won the victory, they lost a fortune there at the bottom of the sea! It was a fight for Neverland in a battle on the Never Sea. The Colossus sank that day and left a pirate mystery. At the bottom of the Never Sea was the Mighty Colossus!” The three finished before climbing off the bow of the ship with Sharky helping Seth down.
“Think of it, men. Thanks to me genius and keen sense of direction, I am about to find the Mighty Colossus and its treasure.” Hook said while pulling out a spyglass and looking through it. “Excuse me, sir. But you only found out about it last week when you were spying on the sea pups.” Smee spoke up. “Oh, so that’s why we’ve been following their little ship.” Bones chuckled as Seth rolled his eyes and facepalmed at hearing his uncle and dad. “And you just now noticed that, Papa Bones?” He mumbled. “Enough! Just keep your eye on those puny pirates and look out for the one thing that makes me happy!” Hook ordered. “Treasure!” The family of three answered. “Precisely!” Hook replied.
Up ahead on the ship, a Never-leopard stood on the bow of the ship and stood as a lookout for the crew of small pirates as her ears twitched and she occasionally shook her head at the constant pinging noise. “Oh, why can’t that thing be any quieter?” She muttered, banging her head against the railing slightly. “Crackers! That kooky compass hasn’t stopped beeping since you told it to find the Mighty Colossus! Is it broken?” The green parrot asked while just hovering above the three kids.
“No, it’s supposed to beep! Peter said it will always lead us to wherever we want to go. So the more the Never Sea Compass beeps, the closer we’re getting!” Cubby explained to Skully. “Steady on to the Mighty Colossus! The biggest battleship of all time!” Jake told the crew as Bucky rang his bell while Savaa laid her head on the bow railing. “The sooner, the better. That compass is giving me a headache,” She said. “I heard that, Savaa!” Jake laughed as the Never-leopard sighed, sitting down, and rubbing her head with a paw.
“And the biggest pile of treasure! Like barrels of gold doubloons!” Skully described. “And rubies, and pearls, and sapphires!” Izzy added. “Finding the treasure would be great, all right, but finding the ship that Captain Colossus sailed? Now that would be awesome! Captain Colossus was only the coolest captain ever!” Jake explained, pulling out his destiny sword and running to the front of the wheel’s helm, hopping onto the railing, “It’s said that he battled sea demons and giant serpents.” He continued, waving his sword around.
Savaa smiled and walked over to the deck. “Careful there.” She warned him with a small giggle before her ears shot up at the sudden change of pace in the compass’s beeping. “Whoa!” Cubby gasped. “Look alive! Three islands dead ahead! It’s the Tortuga Triangle!” Skully said as Jake climbed down from the railing. “Bucky, drop anchor and raise the periscope!” Jake called out as Bucky rang his bell again and a periscope popped up from the floorboards while Savaa hopped onto the ladder, trying to get a closer look and hear what was going on.
Jake grabbed the handles of the periscope and started looking around as the crew looked at each other. “See anything, Jake?” Izzy asked, breaking the silence as the boy sighed. “Just a bunch of fish and seaweed...Wait! There’s something else! Bucky, drop the net!” He said as the ship rang his bell and dropped a net into the water below while Savaa ran to the side and looked down into the water. The kids slid down the slide, joining Savaa on the deck at the side of Bucky and looked down.
“Is it the Mighty Colossus?” Izzy asked. “If it was, Bucky wouldn’t be able to pull it up. He would be stuck.” Savaa pointed out to her crewmate. “Oh right.”She giggled. “Is it gold? Rubies? Or is it...” Skully started as Bucky brought the net back onboard and released the net, dropping a rusty cup into Jake’s hands. “A rusty old tankard?” Cubby asked in confusion. “So much for the colossal treasure of the Mighty Colossus,” Skully replied. “Don’t give up so fast, Skully. I recognize this symbol.” Jake spoke up as Savaa looked over at the tankard’s symbol curiously, “It belongs to Captain Colossus and it proves the ship is around here. Let’s keep looking.” The boy explained, bringing hope to the crew.
“Jake, look out!” Savaa gasped as a plunger suddenly grabbed the tankard and yanked it right out of the boy’s hand as the kids gasped a little. “What? Hey!” They yelled and looked up, spotting the familiar ship pulling up beside them. “Captain Hook!” They exclaimed as Savaa snarled, lashing her tail. “What can I say? Plundering treasure is in me blood. It’s what I live for. Now sail on, swabs!” Hook ordered, the tankard in his hand while he stood upon his deck, “I am about to take what is meant to be mine. The treasure of the Mighty Colossus!” He said.
“Aw, you couldn’t find the feather on your hat with a compass!” Skully told him. “And technically, WE were here first, fish-breath.” Savaa added. “What Skully and Savaa meant to say is, why don’t we all work together to find the ship and its treasure?” Jake offered as Savaa stammered and sputtered. “Work with him?! Jake, did you forget the last few times we have tried teaming up with Hook?!” The Never-leopard asked. “Hold on, Savs.” Jake whispered.
“Such a generous gesture, but getting rid of you be much more to me liking.” He started. “See? I told-” Savaa began. “Anchors away!” Hook suddenly yelled and pulled a lever as a hook popped out and latched onto Bucky with a cannon as it shot out an anchor, forcing the whole ship and crew to fly straight back out to sea. “My new compass!” Cubby yelled as the crew were shot away from the Tortuga Triangle, the compass plunging into the water below.
Seth looked over the side and cringed a little bit as Hook walked past and handed the tankard to him. “Here you go, me boy. Your first treasure of Captain Colossus.” He said as Seth gasped and immediately hugged it. “Sweet coral reefs!” He whispered excitedly as Hook chuckled. “Now, we can get back to what matters most; Getting that colossal treasure. Drop anchor!” Hook ordered as Sharky and Bones dropped the anchor into the water to hold down the ship. “Hunting for golden goodies. This is what being a pirate is all about!” He continued as he looked through a periscope that dropped down into the water below the ship.
The captain looked around, groaning a little. “Bah! Rubbish! Nothing down here, but rocks and seaweed!” He said before pulling away from the periscope, “This was all just a puny pirate trick to waste me valuable time. There obviously is no treasure here. Hoist anchor!” Hook ordered as Sharky and Bones began to pull back in the anchor only for it to suddenly stop and pull back as the two hurried to the side, gasping a little. “Sorry, captain, but, uh, we thinks the anchor be stuck on some rocks!” Sharky said.
“Then we’ll yank it free. Then set sail for anywhere, but here!” Hook said, a hand on the wheel as the crew looked at each other. “Anywhere, ho!” Smee called out. “Aye, aye, Captain Hook!” The other three yelled before running to their stations to yank the anchor free as the ship began pulling forward until it was pulled free with a sharp pull. Unbeknownst to them, down below, the anchor loosened rocks against a large, sunken vessel. Laughter echoed from beneath as a hand suddenly pushed the rocks further away to create a larger opening.
Nearby, a small squid woke up while perched on a rock as he gasped and swam off the rock, hiding behind it. “Sweet mother of pearl! Can this be?” He asked as the figure finally pushed the last bit of rocks away and a trident arose from the hole. “Finally...free!” The mysterious figure said, swimming out and revealing himself to be a merwizard with a large trident and a shark tail, seaweed-like hair on top of his head. “It’s him! Him!” The squid gasped as the merwizard swam out into the light.
“Sinker!” He summoned as the squid hesitated. “Uh...Um...” He muttered as the mysterious figure swam around. “I know you’re out there anxiously awaiting for my return. Show yourself and give tribute to your masterful master, Lord Fathom, the future King of the Never Sea!” He announced as Sinker finally came out. “Lord Fathom!” He called, swimming up to his master as quickly as he could, “I’ve never left your side. Never. I swear!” Sinker said as Lord Fathom hummed a bit. “I have no doubt. You’ve always been so loyal.” He replied, using his tail to bring the squid closer to him.
“Yes, yes, that’s me! Loyal Sinker!” The creature confirmed as Lord Fathom nodded. “Now, let us get to work. I have a great deal of unfinished business to tend to.” He explained, clutching his trident in his hands, “I will rule the Never Sea forever.” He said. “But-but-but the last time you tried to do that, you failed miserably!” Sinker pointed out. “Well, this time there is one very special treasure that will help me. I will not allow anyone to imprison me and stop me from fulfilling my destiny!” Lord Fathom said, beginning to swim off a little.
“No, no, no. Yes, yes. Of course! So says the stupendous and tyrannical Lord Fathom, soon to be Ruler of the Never Sea!” Sinker replied, swimming with his master. “‘Soon to be’ cannot be soon enough! Now follow me to Neptune City.” He ordered before the pair swam off together. “I knew you’d break out of that prison someday.” Sinker continued, paying no attention to the beeping compass that laid just beside the large, sunken vessel that sat idle.
In the very city, three mermaids were sitting below the large statue of King Neptune as a young girl started laughing. “Happy waves!” Stormy exclaimed. “Ah, the jewels of the Never Sea fill me with such wonder!” Her majesty, Queen Coralie, commented to the two girls who held a couple of seashell necklaces. “There are so many kinds!” Marina said. “And so many colors!” Stormy added. “Red, green, and blue are just a few, ba-ba-boo!” Sandy replied. “Oh, such amazing treasures!” A strange, new voice complimented while approaching the three mermaids.
Coralie, Marina and Stormy looked up, spotting a cloaked stranger who had his face and head covered. “I’m so glad you like them, kind stranger.” The Queen replied with a gentle smile to the gentleman. “Oh, I’m not exactly a stranger, although it’s been many years since I last swam here. You see, I came here as fast as I could after I heard the news. Uh, bad news, that is.” The stranger explained. “What? Do tell!” Queen Coralie said. “It’s about that very special emerald the King, Neptune, once gave you. The Darklight Emerald.” He answered.
“The magic gem he took away from an evil merwizard? Why, ever since that day, I’ve kept it safe.” She told him. “Well, I was told by others that they’d seen someone using the emerald for doing evil deeds!” The stranger replied as Queen Coralie gasped in shock. “That’s impossible! I’ve had it under lock and key for years!” She said, completely in disbelief. “Um, Queen Coralie, maybe we’d better check out the emerald. Just to make sure it’s locked up!” Marina suggested.
“Good idea!” She nodded before swimming over to a locked gate over by the rocks and turned the lock before the gate opened, revealing a glowing emerald. “Yes.” The stranger whispered. “Oh thank Neptune! The emerald is safe!” Coralie said, not seeing the stranger coming closer to her side. “And it’s even more beautiful than I remembered!” He added. “Remembered? How could you remember it if you never saw it?” Stormy asked, confused at the stranger’s words.
“Because it’s mine!” He answered, a wave of water surrounding him and revealing himself to be none other than Lord Fathom as Queen Coralie gasped. “We know you! You’re the merwizard, Lord Fathom!” She said as Sinker revealed himself. “Actually, he’s about to be known as King Fathom, Ruler of the Never Sea!” He told her as Lord Fathom took the opportunity and snatched the emerald from where it was in the rock, swimming up and placing the emerald into his trident. “Finally!” He exclaimed as a green aura surrounded him, “It’s invigorating! I can feel the emerald’s power once again!” He exclaimed, the aura soon disappearing.
“You should be ashamed of yourself! You once tried to rule the Never Sea, but thankfully King Neptune and Captain Colossus stopped you and sent you to the bottom of the ocean. And to think you were once King Neptune’s most trusted advisor.” Queen Coralie said, staying in front of the girls to protect them as Lord Fathom rolled his eyes. “Yes, it’s a pity he didn’t listen to me. He said I was...Uh, what was the word?” He asked. “Greedy!” Marina and Stormy answered angrily as the merwizard chuckled. “Well, what can I say? I wanted unimaginable power. And the day I found the Darklight Emerald, it gave me exactly what I needed - The power to rule the Never Sea!” He told them.
Lord Fathom swam forward before taking the queen’s crown off her head. “My crown!” Coralie gasped as he grinned, using the emerald’s power to transform the crown. “My crown.” Lord Fathom corrected her, placing the crown upon his head. “All hail, King Fathom!” Sinker announced. “Never!” The mermaids declined boldly. “That is so rude.” He said in a monotone voice before taking his trident and blasting at the rocks above them, making the mermaids scream and crowd near each other to prevent being hit by the falling rocks.
“Ba-ba-boo, what can we do?” Sandy asked. “We need help. Fast!” Marina answered as Coralie swam over to Sandy. “Sandy, go find Jake. He’ll know what to do!” She whispered to the starfish who quickly hurried off while Coralie remained with the girls. “Come, Sinker. My work here is done.” Lord Fathom told his loyal squid before hearing the usurped queen speak up. “Heartless monster! I will not rest until we rid the Never Sea of you!” She yelled at him as Lord Fathom immediately looked at her.
“No one talks to me like that! You shall pay for such insolence!” He said before swimming up and raising his arms and trident, “Creatures of the sea, hear every word I say. Follow my command. Obey.” His voice boomed loudly as a nearby school of fish suddenly stopped, their eyes turning green and swimming towards him. “Obey.” He repeated, “Obey.” He said as more sea creatures soon fell under the same spell as three Never-sharks swam over and began swimming around the three mermaids, trapping them. “Never-sharks! Escort these misguided mermaids into their new home.” Lord Fathom ordered, using his trident to turn the emerald’s holding cell into a real prison cell as the three mermaids watched the Never-sharks, frightened and worried.
“Obey me!” He began before swimming down, “A change in the sea. The Queen has stepped down. There’s a new monarchy now that I wear the crown. King Fathom of all the Never Sea!” He laughed, “And I have just one decree now that I am royalty. Obey me!” Lord Fathom sang. “All hail, King Fathom!” Sinker shouted. “Obey me!” Lord Fathom sang as the Never-sharks forced the three mermaids towards the cell and closed it, guarding the trapped mermaids. “Every fin will fall in line. Obey me. The Neversea is mine. Then I have to build a brand new city!” Lord Fathom sang, transforming different rocks with his trident.
“A monument to your new majesty!” Sinker proclaimed. “It’s sure to take some time to build, but I don’t think you’ll mind. I can see by your eyes that you agree. Obey me! Every fin will fall in line. Obey me! The Neversea is mine. I will rule, you will do as I say. By order of your king! Obey...” He finished as Sinker swam over to his master, “Now let us be off to Dreadnaught Cove!” Lord Fathom said as the squid chuckled. “To Dreadnaught-Whoa! Dreadnought Cove?!” Sinker gasped and swam over, stopping his master, “No, no, no, but that place is the most dreadful spot of the Neversea and...” He rambled.
“It is where I must go! Then I will get everything I want and more!” The merwizard replied before swimming off. “More, yes! More you shall have! Uh, uh, well, I think it’s this way.” Sinker said, following after him along with the entranced sea creatures below them.
Back on the surface, Bucky approached Pirate Island and extended his gangplank for the crew as they were let off back onto the beach. “Coconuts! I can’t believe I lost my Neversea compass!”Cubby sighed as Izzy patted his shoulder. “Ah, it’s okay, Cubby. I bet you’ll find another way back to the Tortuga Triangle!” She told him. “Don’t worry, guys. The Mighty Colossus isn’t going anywhere. If it’s down there, I know we’ll find it someday,” Jake said. “Yeah, it just won’t be today,” Cubby replied.
“Yeah, because of Captain Codfish back there.” Savaa spoke up, coming off Bucky as she trudged onto the beach, “Jake, what were you thinking when it came to offering an alliance with Hook? You know what he’s done every time we offer him an alliance. He always goes back on his word!” She told him. “I know, Savaa. You know I just want to try and keep the peace! We can’t always be butting heads all the time! And one day, that will happen. One day, we no longer have to be butting heads with Captain Hook and his crew.” Jake explained.
Savaa scoffed. “Yeah, when whales fly.” She replied, pacing on the sand as Jake ran over and got in front of her. “Savs. It’s okay. I know Hook gets under your fur, but you have to remember. Bad pirates don’t always win in the end. And what has always happened to Hook at the end of the day?” He grinned as Savaa looked at him and smiled a little. “He’s always back on his ship, scheming up another plan after failing the first one.” She answered. “Attagirl.” Jake chuckled, hugging her tightly.
“Ba-ba-boo!” Someone shouted from nearby, surprising the crew as Jake let go of Savaa and looked over to see Sandy come ashore on top of a small board, “The Never Sea needs help from you!” Sandy said as Jake came running over immediately. “Sandy! You okay? What’s going on?” He asked, kneeling down beside the starfish. “Ooh! The scariest merwizard I ever did see has attacked and imprisoned Queen Coralie!” He explained as the others joined Jake quickly. “Shiver me timbering timbers!” Izzy exclaimed. “Who is this merwizard, Sandy?” Savaa asked, crouching down to the starfish’s level.
“Lord Fathom is evil through and through, he wants to rule the Never Sea. Ba-ba boo-hoo.” Sandy answered as Izzy gasped. “I’ve heard about this creature before. He’s a bad one, for sure. A real shark.” She said, “Um, make that half a shark!” She corrected real quick. “A merwizard mershark? Great palm trees!” Savaa shuddered. “A wizard? A shark? A wiz-shark? That’s double trouble! What can we do?” Cubby rambled. “Whatever it takes to stop him from ruling the Never Sea.” Jake answered before turning back to their friend, “Sandy, go back to Neptune City and let Queen Coralie know that my mates and I are on the job!” He told him.
Sandy nodded immediately as a wave approached the beach. “That’s just what I’ll do, ba-ba-boo!” He replied before the wave brought him back to sea as Jake stood back up and pulled out his destiny sword. “Then by the power of my destiny sword, yo ho, let’s go!” Jake told his crew as the crew hurried to Bucky. “Yo ho, mateys, away! We gotta save the Neversea today!” The crew sang together. “Let’s go!” Skully said. “There be trouble, on the double, follow me team!” Jake said. “Jake and the Neverland Pirates and me!” The crew sang together as they set sail into the sea.
Meanwhile, on the Jolly Roger, Seth used a clean rag to clean up the tankard as he smiled at seeing it shine a little before looking out past the railing. “I wish Jake and his friends could see this. They definitely found a good treasure of Captain Colossus.” He whispered as a part of him felt a bit of guilt from feeling happy about having it since he knew his captain and uncle had taken it from them, “Ah, bilgewater. When I see them again, I’ll return it.” Seth said quietly. “Oh Never Sea, why be ye so cruel?” He heard Hook moan all of a sudden as he looked over quickly.
Hook groaned, keeping a hand under his chin. “I spend me entire life looking for the treasure you hide below and what do you give me in return? Bilgewater!” The captain grumbled as Mr.Smee walked over to him. “Oh, cheer up, captain. It’s not like the treasure of the Mighty Colossus is the only one in the sea.” His first mate explained. “But it’s the one I want now!” Hook said, startling Mr.Smee a little, “Men, scour the Never Sea! And do not leave a single inch untouched!” Captain Hook ordered as Seth scrambled off the barrel while Sharky and Bones stopped their game of checkers. “Aye aye, Captain!” The three replied.
Seth ran to a hatch and hopped down before bringing out some fishing nets, handing them to his dads as they threw each one overboard into the water before Sharky and Bones tossed the final one off the side of the Jolly Roger as Seth ran over and looked at them. “All done, Uncle Hook!” He called. “All done indeed, captain.” Smee nodded, “If there’s any treasure to be found in the Neversea, we will find it!” He explained as Captain Hook looked at them. “You bumbling buffoons. How are fishing nets going to find any treasure?” He told them.
“Well, if anything, it’ll help-Holy crabs!” Seth screamed as Lord Fathom emerged from the side of the ship on top of a waterspout that held him in the air and looked at the crew of pirates. “Air-breathers! Get these nets out of my way!” He ordered them, wielding his trident at them. “Who in blue blazes said that?” Captain Hook asked, looking over at Lord Fathom. “I did!” He answered the captain. “So says King Lord Fathom, Ruler of the Never Sea!” Sinker added, perched on the merwizard’s shoulder.
“Lord Fathom!” The crew screamed as they ran towards some barrels and crates, hiding inside of them while Seth stayed beside his uncle. “You can’t be Ruler of the Never Sea! Queen Coralie is!” The boy yelled. “There’s been a slight change in the monarchy, boy...Now, once again. I order you to remove these nets out of my way!” Lord Fathom said. “I do not take orders from fish!” Hook answered. “And I do not listen to the babble of bumbling buccaneers!” He replied to the captain as Hook gasped at the sparkling emerald attached to the trident.
“Glory be! Spy that dandy gem! Now that’s a treasure! I must have it!” Hook said, completely ignoring Lord Fathom when he continued to speak to him. “...I commanded you to remove your nets! Since you have not, I shall remove you!” Lord Fathom yelled, shooting a magical beam at the water near the ship and bringing two waves of water up to tower the ship as Hook gasped. “Look out!” Seth shouted and dove behind the stairs for cover as the water crashed down onto the deck and the crew, leaving Lord Fathom to laugh at their dismay.
Seth came out from under the stairs and ran to help his family as Hook was sliding around the deck a little. “Smee, this is the one time I might actually need help from-” Hook started until an all familiar bell sounded from nearby as the crew immediately smiled. “Jake!” They said in unison as Bucky pulled up to the scene with the crew on board. “It’s the sea pups to the rescue!” Mr.Smee shouted, laughing cheerfully.
Jake stood on the bow, his crew beside him and ready to fight Lord Fathom. “Bucky! Grab that merwizard!” Jake ordered as Bucky activated his grabber arms, both extending towards Lord Fathom and attempting to grab him as he yelled, dodging each arm as it tried to grab hold of his waterspout as he soon started laughing at realizing the ship’s grabbers couldn’t reach him. “Wicked wizard, you won’t get away with this,” Izzy said. “Oh yes, I will, after I awaken my secret weapon; The Strake!” Lord Fathom told them.
“What...The Strake?! Are you sure about this? That giant beast is unstoppable.” Sinker told Lord Fathom who merely grinned at the words, twisting his trident in his hands. “Unstoppable. How I treasure that word! With the Strake at my side, no one will ever defy me again.” He said. “Yay hey, no way! The Strake is the worst monster ever! No one can control him!” Izzy told him. “I can! He will faithfully obey me. Once he sets his eyes on the Darklight Emerald!” The merwizard replied as Savaa growled protectively a little.
Seth ran over and handed Captain Hook his fishing rod hook as the captain grinned. “I must have that emerald!” He said before tossing the line out as the plunger on the other end just fell short and fell before it could reach the gem on the trident. “Blast! I missed.” Hook grumbled. “I grow tired of these silly sailor games!” Lord Fathom growled before blasting his magic into the water again, “Great power of the Never Sea, send these vessels far from me!” He commanded as the water around the ships suddenly grew strong as the crew gasped, yelling a little.
“Waves away!” They shouted. “EVERYBODY, HANG ON!” Savaa roared to warn the other ship as a large wave grew beneath them, casting them away from Lord Fathom along with the nets surrounding them. “Hang on, Sethy!” Bones shouted as Seth grabbed hold of the railing as the waves crashed over them. “Boom-shocka-locka! Oh, you really showed them who’s boss. The big sea-cheese! The slimiest bottom feeder to ever scrape the murky dregs of the Never Sea!” Sinker rambled. “Oh, Sinker, I can only stand so much flattery. On to Dreadnaught Cove!” Lord Fathom said before sinking below his waterspout and returning to the sea beneath him.
Elsewhere, the ships had finally come to a rest from the waves as the crews were scattered on the decks, drenched with Hook’s crew caught under the fallen sail. “That’s it! I’ve had it with these maniacal mer-things! No treasure is worth all this!” Hook said, coming out from under the sail as Seth dangled from a rope above them, pulling out his sword before cutting it to free himself only to fall on top of his parents. “Ow.” The three groaned as Smee sighed. “True, Captain, but as long as that Lord Fathom fellow is around, no one is safe. Not even you!” Smee explained.
Savaa stood up from Bucky’s deck, shaking her fur out to get herself dried off as the boys leaned against Bucky’s mast, drenched as Savaa walked over to the kids. “Is everybody okay?” She asked. “Yeah, nobody’s hurt.” Izzy answered, laying on her stomach. “We’re sunk! With one magic blast, that merwizard could blow us away for good, and that’s not good!” Cubby said. “That’s why we need more help. We need the best captains on the Never Sea! Skully, deliver this message.” Jake started as Skully quickly shook himself dry while his leader moved over to him, “Calling all captains! Set sail for Neverland Beach! Now!” He said as the parrot took off into the air. “Aye aye, Jake! This bird will spread the word!” Skully replied before flying off.
“Good luck, Skully!” Savaa called after him before turning back around and helping the kids back to their feet, “Okay. Let’s get all of you dried off and head for the beach.” She said as Bucky rang his bell while the Never-leopard moved to the side to look at the Jolly Roger, “Captain Hook!” She called out as the captain walked over to the side of the ship. “What do you want, you overgrown feline?” He answered. “Jake has a message! Calling all captains! Set sail for Neverland Beach! Now!” Savaa told him. “Is it because Jake has a plan for Lord Fathom?” Smee asked, joining his captain. “Yep! So set sail for Neverland Beach!” Jake answered, drying his hair off with a towel he managed to get as Bucky and the Jolly Roger began to set sail back for the island.
Not long after, the two ships approached the beach as there already were two familiar ships that belonged to two captains - Captain Frost and Captain Flynn - who already stood on the beach together. “Ahoy, crews!” Flynn greeted as two crews hopped off their ships, wading onto the shore before joining the two captains. “Good to see you, mes amies!” Frost said, walking over and shaking hands with Jake real quick while Cubby ran to Flynn and the two shared a quick high five. “What’s the problem?” Flynn asked. “We’ll explain once the last captain comes,” Izzy answered. “And there it is now!” Savaa called as she nudged Jake over to some rocks, “Here, stand on that.” She whispered.
“Thanks, Savaa.” He whispered before getting on the rock as Bones walked over with a trumpet and began blowing it, startling the pirates a little who quickly adjusted to it as the fifth and final captain approached the shore with Skully flying over and joining his mateys. “Gangway for greatness, me hearties!” The parrot said. “Good work, Skully! All hands on the Neversea! Captain Flynn!” Jake began. “Ahoy, Jake! At your service, mate!” Flynn responded, stepping forward. “Captain Frost!” Jake said. “In from the cold and eager to heat things up, mon ami!” Frost replied, stepping up beside Flynn.
“Captain Hook!” Jake grinned. “Present and accounted for, of course!” Hook answered reluctantly. “Captain Beatrice Le Beak!” The boy called out last as the purple ship made headway and landed on the beach, the captain on the bow and holding a rope with her bird on her arm before the two swung down and joined the rest of the gathered crews. “Beatrice Le who?!” Hook exclaimed as Beatrice landed beside Hook, grinning a little. “Bonjour, capitaine. So not nice to see you.” She told him as the two kept their backs to each other, “But not even I understand zat zees Lord Fathom threatens us all and if there is one thing I cannot stand it is zee competition.” She explained.
“For once, I agree with you, Le Beak!” Hook replied as Seth facepalmed. “Oh brother.” He muttered. “That’s the spirit! As long as we all work together, we’ll be fine. Captains, set sail for the Never Sea! Operation Stop Lord Fathom is a yo-ho go!” Jake announced, raising his sword as the crews began cheering loudly before hurrying to their ships. “Jake.” Savaa said as Jake stopped and looked over quickly. “Yeah, Savaa?” He asked. “Jake, whatever happens, you show that merwizard who he’s messing with.” Savaa told him as Jake smiled at her. “I will, Savs.” He replied before the two hurried to Bucky.
The ships headed out, Bucky in the lead as they all were set in a V-formation. The Jolly Roger, The Barracuda, The Buccaneer, The Winter Hawk, and Beatrice’s ship, sailed together and spread out a little as they prepared for the awaited battle. “Come on, mates. We’re all in this together, remember?” Jake called out to the captains as Skully gasped. “Look alive, captains! Merwizard dead ahead!” The parrot shouted as Lord Fathom rose from the Never Sea in his waterspout who groaned. “Yet another distraction! Creatures of the Never Sea, rise up fast...” He commanded, his emerald glowing brightly as bubbles formed on the surface.
A variety of Neversea sea creatures surfaced and surrounded Lord Fathom. “...And do not let any pirate ship pass!” Lord Fathom finished as the flying fish rushed in to attack first. “Flying fish? Coconuts!” Cubby said. “To victory! Go!” Jake ordered as the creatures rushed in to attack as dolphins, sharks and whales dove under and started swimming towards the surface as Flynn turned his ship’s wheel. “Incoming!” He warned as a whale knocked against his ship, nearly knocking him off his feet, “Drat!” He groaned.
Seth gasped at spotting a whale charging from the side and barreling into the side of The Barracuda as the sound of rushing water below made it clear the whale struck a hole. “Over the bow!” Sharky yelled, grabbing the mast as a whale created a wave that hit the Jolly Roger. “Protect the mizzenmast!” Bones shouted. “Protect me!” Hook shouted as the crew struggled with the water as Seth struggled in the water before grabbing the ropes on the side of the ship and climbing up to get to a higher safety point. “Don’t look down, don’t look down.” He mumbled.
Lord Fathom began laughing at the captains and the attack the sea creatures were bringing upon the pirates on their ships. “Avast! Fish on the fly, coming in fast!” Jake warned the captains quickly as the fish flew straight into Beatrice’s sails as the female captain gasped. “Secure zee sails! We need the speed!” Beatrice yelled before suddenly being swarmed by the fish, “Shoo! Oh, le rats and le phooey!” She shouted, taking cover inside a barrel.
“They’re closing in on us!” Cubby shouted as waves crashed around Bucky, dolphins attacking the bottom of Bucky’s hull as the kids hanged on to the railing at the bow of Bucky to avoid being thrown overboard as sharks crashed into the bottom side of Captain Frost’s ship, making him slip on the stairs. “Gangway! Mon dieu!” He gasped while sliding around the deck a little, managing to stop himself.
“Go Lord Fathom! I didn’t doubt you for a second! You’re the best at being the worst!” Sinker said as Lord Fathom chuckled. “Yes, I am. Aren’t I?” He laughed, eyeing the ships as he soon spotted the feline onboard Jake’s ship as he grinned at suddenly getting an idea, “Hmm...I wonder...” He muttered before raising his trident, “Never-leopard of the land, heed my words with the emerald in my hand...” He began to speak as Savaa’s ears perked up at a sudden voice echoing within her head, “Obey.” His voice echoed as the Never-leopard groaned and started taking a few steps back, whining, and shaking her head.
Jake heard the noises and looked back quickly at the distressed Never-leopard, keeping one hand on the railing to try and keep himself upright. “Savaa?” He asked as the crew looked over. Savaa’s eyes briefly shut tight, obviously trying to fight off whatever was going on. “Obey.” Lord Fathom’s voice echoed again as her whimpers and groans stopped before her once amber eyes suddenly shot open, replaced with a green tint completely in her eyes as she began growling at the crew. “Savaa?! What’s going on?!” Izzy asked.
Jake looked at Savaa and then back towards one of the sea creatures, making an immediate comparison which made him realize what was going on with her. “No...Savaa, no! Fight him! Fight back!” He yelled at her as Savaa growled, lashing her tail behind her. “Jake, he has her under his control!” Izzy gasped, taking a step back in concern. “I don’t want to fight or hurt her, but I don’t want her hurting us.” Jake started before knowing he had to make a hard decision, “Forgive me, Savaa. BUCKY, EMERGENCY EJECT!” He suddenly shouted as at that moment, Bucky rang his bell and suddenly activated a square section of the deck which forcefully ejected the controlled leopard off the ship.
The captains stood in shock briefly at watching the feline land in the water as a whale emerged beneath her, giving her something to stand on as Lord Fathom laughed in victory. “The Never-leopard is under my control now!” He said. “Mateys! This isn’t working! We’re gonna need another plan! Captains, time to retreat!” Jake shouted as the captains all understood the order and quickly began making their retreat away from the sea creatures who retreated back to Lord Fathom. Bucky turned and quickly led the way as Jake ran to the mast and climbed up to the top of the now damaged sails and looked back towards the army of creatures.
Jake’s eyes teared up at spotting Savaa as Lord Fathom created a flat rocky area for her as the Never-leopard paced along the side of it as he lowered his gaze. “I’m sorry.” He whispered before climbing back down and rejoining his crew who sat down by the mast and hugged each other, heartbroken at the loss of their matey. “We’ll get her back, Jake. We’ll get her back.” Izzy sniffled. “Jake, whatever happens, you show that merwizard who he’s messing with.” Savaa’s words repeated in his head as Jake lifted his head back up. “I know we will. Because Lord Fathom doesn’t know who he’s messing with.” He replied firmly.
The captains and crews returned to the Neverland Beach before disembarking from their destroyed and tattered ships as Fast Claw screeched, flying down and joining his captain as Skully looked at the ships. “Lox and crackers! We got schmeared!” Skully commented as Jake leaned against a rock, taking a moment to think about everything. “We need a ship that’s strong enough to take anything Lord Fathom throws at us.” He started, rubbing his chin before getting a thought, “Like the ancient pirate battleship, The Mighty Colossus!” Jake said.
Hook laughed. “Don’t be ridiculous! It isn’t like you can snap your fingers and ‘Ca-poof!’, and she’ll appear!” He said. “Uncle Hook! I suggest you back off right now! Jake and his crew just lost a crewmate and a part of their family to Lord Fathom! So don’t even right now!” Seth suddenly snapped, startling Hook, Smee, Sharky, and Bones at the boy’s sudden aggression. “Maybe not. But I’m a Neverland Pirate. I never give up!” Jake proclaimed, whipping out his destiny sword while climbing on top of the rock, “And when someone threatens our home or takes our family or a crewmate, we stand strong as one!” He shouted, raising his sword in the air.
The pirates gasped at Jake’s sword suddenly glowing as a few of the pirates who were sitting down stood up quickly at the glow from the Destiny Sword. “What’s with your sword, mate?” Flynn asked. “I...I don’t know! I’m not doing it!” Jake answered as he turned around and watched a golden beam come out of his sword and into an arch, penetrating into the surface of the water nearby as the beam vanished and the surface began bubbling. “What’s going on?” Seth asked before a brief blinding flash of light shone.
There in the water, a large statue of Neptune appeared followed by a large ship beneath it as Izzy walked over to Jake and stood beside the rock. “What is that?” She asked as the large blue vessel surfaced from below the depths of the sea as Seth started pulling on Sharky’s vest. “P-Papa-! I-It’s...It’s the-!” He stammered. “It’s the Mighty Colossus!” Jake finished his sentence in shock as Frost chuckled. “I’ve got to hand it to you, mon ami. Your sword, it really packs a punch!” He pointed out as Jake looked at the Destiny sword. “I guess it does!” He replied.
“Jake, can we go check it out?!” Seth asked, running over excitedly. “Oh, we sure can! Come on, let’s go check out the Mighty Colossus, the coolest ship ever!” Jake answered as the crew quickly headed to the ship, using a rope ladder to climb aboard and look around the large ship. “Whoo-hoo!” Skully hollered, flying around a little. “Avast!” Flynn breathed out in disbelief and shock, “I’ve never seen a vessel like this before!” Flynn commented as Cubby gasped. “Crazy coconuts! My Neversea Compass!” He said, running over and taking the compass off the shelf and opening it up, “It’s back! This ship sure is magical!” Cubby added as Izzy walked over to her matey.
“The Mighty Colossus, she has everything!” Frost said, standing by the wheel. “Not so! There is one thing missing; Treasure!” Hook replied, climbing out from a hole from the hull, “Oh, I’ve looked anywhere. No gold, no jewels, no nothing!” He complained as Jake walked over. “Look again, Captain. The Mighty Colossus itself is the treasure!” Jake pointed out. “He’s right, Uncle Hook! This ship is amazing!” Seth said, swinging down on a rope and landing beside Jake as Izzy and Cubby climbed down some of the wooden stairs. “And it’s gonna help us stop Lord Fathom!” Izzy said. “And get us back Savaa!” Cubby added, “Too bad Captain Colossus isn’t around to help sail his own ship.” He explained.
Flynn walked over and looked at Cubby. “Well, what we need is another captain to take his place.” He told the young pirate as Hook raised his hand. “And I humbly accept the position!” He suddenly spoke up as Seth crossed his arms. “Yay hey, no way, Uncle Hook.” He said as Hook stammered. “W-Wh-What? Seth?! But how could you-?” He blubbered, shocked at his own nephew and crewmate. “No way, antsy-pants! I think Jake deserves to be the captain.” Skully spoke up. “Me? But I got slammed by Lord Fathom! And I had to make the hardest decision a matey had to ever make!” Jake explained.
“Maybe. But Jake, you were the one who brought us all together at the first sign of trouble.” Flynn started to explain. “You kept us on course.” Frost added as Beatrice joined in. “And you never gave up!” She said, “Yo ho, Captain Jake!” Seth started shouting. “Yo ho, way to go, Captain Jake!” Everyone joined in as Jake gasped at his Destiny Sword suddenly glowing again and lifting him into the air as the crew gasped, watching as the golden aura from the sword engulfed Jake and soon vanished in a blast.
In the air was Jake in new clothes. He now wore a navy blue hat and coat, black trousers, and a black belt with a gold buckle alongside his sword that held a new appearance as a metal blade with black and blue flames on the backside with a gold and black handle. Jake landed on the railing as he looked at himself and gasped. “Wow!” He exclaimed. “Whoa! You’ve got a cool new hat!” Cubby said. “And a new jacket!” Skully pointed out. “And check it out, your Destiny Sword turned into a new sword!” Izzy added as Jake looked at his new sword.
“A mighty captain’s sword!” Skully said. “What do you think, Jake?” Izzy asked. “You mean, Captain Jake!” Cubby corrected as Jake got down before being hugged by Seth without warning. “Jake! I mean, Captain Jake. You look amazing as ever! If Savaa was here, she would be proud of you.” Seth told him as Jake smiled at him. “Thanks, Seth. This is totally cool! Guess there’s only one thing left to say now.” He said before walking forward, “Fellow pirates, captains and crews! Let’s go hunt down the merwizard and stop him! So, look out, Lord Fathom, because here comes The Neverland League of Pirate Captains!” Jake spoke as the entire crew started cheering in response.
Jake climbed onto the rail and grabbed a rope. “No one takes over Neverland, not without a fight. And no one crew can do it all, we captains must unite.”Jake sang as the captains gathered around him. “Different mateys, all of us, but pirates all we be.” They sang. “We’ll sail together, side by side, and save the Never Sea! Come on, captains, follow me!” Jake said. “Yo ho!” The captains chanted. “Gangway, The Neverland League of Pirate Captains.” Sharky and Bones joined in. “On our way!” The captains said. “Rally 'round me buccaneers. We’ll be one crew today. Gangway, the Neverland League of Pirate Captains, on our way!” The crew sang. “Side by side, we’ll win the fight! If we’re all one pirate crew today!” They sang as they stood at the front of the ship together.
“What be your plan, Captain Jake?” Flynn asked as Jake walked back to the main deck, taking a deep breath. “Give him a minute, mon ami.” Frost whispered. “Alright. Izzy, Cubby! You’re on the lookout for Lord Fathom! Everyone else, man the battle stations! We’re going after Lord Fathom!” Captain Jake said. “Aye aye, Captain Jake!” The crew said before splitting up into different positions on the ship as Seth swung by to lower the sails to gain more speed in the wind. “Yahoo!” He shouted before crashing into the sail post, grunting as Izzy and Cubby cringed. “That had to hurt.” Cubby chuckled as Seth slid down and landed on his rump. “I’m good!” He wheezed.
“I hope we’re not too late. If Lord Fathom gets to Dreadnaught Cove and wakes the Strake...” Izzy started explaining before shuddering at the thought. “Fathom off starboard bow!” Skully reported as Izzy and Cubby looked over and spotted Lord Fathom who luckily hadn’t spotted them yet. “Full speed ahead!” Jake shouted. “Aye aye, Captain Jake!” Sharky, Bones, and Seth replied before pulling some ropes and raising an extra sail while Seth pulled a third rope to raise a smaller sail above it to gain more speed. “Cannons at the ready!” Jake commanded, walking to the side of the wheel. “Just give us the go, lad!” Flynn answered. “We shall give that he-fish the what-for!” Smee added, loading up the cannon.
“Catapults, ho!” The Captain shouted as Frost manned the catapults. “You got it!” Frost replied, cranking the wheel as Izzy and Cubby loaded the catapult with coconuts. “Aye!” Cubby grinned. “Yay hey!” Izzy said. “Sneaks on the deck!” Hook told Le Beak as Beatrice and him loaded some cannonballs into the other catapult. “Ready to go, Capitaine Jacques!” Beatrice said. “And remember. Do NOT harm any of the sea creatures. We merely want to frighten them off and make them back down!” Jake said quickly.
Lord Fathom heard the shouting as it grew closer and looked back and gasped. “By the Veils of Vulgaris! The Mighty Colossus? It sank long ago! How did they...” He questioned in complete shock at seeing the vessel that once sank to the bottom of the sea. “I know! After Captain Colossus locked you up below deck, the Strake pulled it down to the bottom of the Never Sea!” Sinker said to Lord Fathom. “Well, somehow it came back. But now I’ll make sure it never returns!” Lord Fathom said before raising his trident, “Creatures of the Never Sea, heed my call. Obliterate that ship once and for all!” He called
The sea creatures returned to the surface as the rocky platform rose from the ocean with a protective bubble popping, revealing the Never-leopard as Savaa roared and ran off the rock, leaping onto a whale’s back and ready for battle as the sea creatures raced to the ship to attack. “How this warms my cold heart.” Lord Fathom said as two whales attacked the front of the ship with Savaa leaping off one and starting to climb up. “Sorry, Savaa!” Seth yelled before dumping a bucket of cold, soapy water down on top of her as Savaa shrieked and fell off, landing back in the water.
Jake held onto the railing from the impact before standing back up. “Mateys, cannon go!” Jake ordered. “I hear you, Captain Jake!” Flynn replied before turning around and pushing down both levers, launching the cannonballs. “Cannon ho!” Smee shouted as he did the same thing, releasing the cannonballs as they stopped two whales when they started approaching the ship once again. A couple of sharks took a couple of bites at the fin behind the ship as more cannonballs were released after being reloaded, stopping the sharks and another whale from making another attack.
“FISH!” Skully shouted as flying fish shot past, creating holes and tears in the sails. “Mateys, man all battle stations!” Captain Jake ordered. “Aye aye, Captain Jake!” The crew replied as Sharky and Bones were helping with reloading cannons while Seth worked with Izzy, Cubby, Beatrice, and Frost on reloading catapults while the sea creatures continued their assault on the ship. Flynn looked over the side of the ship as Savaa began climbing up on one of the cannons as he took a sand bomb from his jacket and tossed it overboard, making it explode in the leopard’s face as Savaa yowled and fell back into the water before she could even reach the top.
Izzy and Cubby yelled, falling from another hit as Jake looked at the rest. “Catapults go!” He ordered as Izzy and Cubby ran over and grabbed a rope. “Going!” The three said as they pulled the rope and launched the coconuts and cannonballs as they scattered around the water, frightening the sea creatures off. “Cannonballs, ho!” Beatrice and Hook shouted and released them as Lord Fathom moved out of the way to avoid being hit, one flying straight over his shoulder as Sinker managed to dodge out of the way.
“Sniveling squid! Where’s your backbone?” Lord Fathom asked. “I don’t have one!” Sinker answered. “This ends now!” The merwizard growled before pointing his trident to the surface, “Shipwrecks rise from the water below. Destroy all those in my way!” He began as Jake whipped out his spyglass and eyed the emerald with it. “Hmm...there’s something strange going on with that emerald.” He noted to himself. “Go, go, go!” Lord Fathom’s voice boomed as shipwrecks arose from the water as Sharky gasped. “Boiling barnacles!” He exclaimed. “Holy shipwrecks!” Seth yelled.
“Charge! Destroy! No mercy!” Lord Fathom ordered as the three shipwrecks started approaching the Mighty Colossus. Sharky and Bones yelled at feeling the ships plunged against the ship, attacking hard and fast. “Take down that ship of fools!” Lord Fathom shouted as one of the ships hit again, knocking Flynn and Frost over as the kids held on, a few crewmates slipping and sliding on the deck. Seth grabbed the railing before gasping at feeling another hit as he screamed at getting knocked overboard, managing to grab hold of one of the protruding cannons on the side and cling onto it.
“Coconuts! These wrecks are wrecking us!” Cubby shouted, nearly falling as Izzy reached out and grabbed his hand to pull him close to the mast again. “Captain Jake, what do we do?” Smee shouted. “That magic emerald is what’s making Lord Fathom so powerful. We’ve got to swipe it!” Jake answered. “HELP!” Seth screamed as Jake gasped and ran to the side of the ship, spotting Seth hanging onto one of the cannons and then seeing one of the ships coming in for another hit. “Not on my watch!” Captain Jake said, cutting a rope and tying it to the railing before swinging off.
Seth whimpered and looked at the approaching ship. “I’m going to be crushed!” He gasped. “Yay hey, no way!” Captain Jake replied before swinging past and grabbing Seth by the hand and pulling him out of the way just in the nick of time before swinging back up with him, helping his crewmate back onboard. “Seth!” Sharky and Bones said, running over to him as Seth hugged his dads immediately. “I’m safe.” He reassured them shakily. “Thank ye, Captain Jake.” Sharky said as Jake nodded in approval.
“Excellent! That will keep the Colossus busy. Now, to wake the Strake.” Lord Fathom said. “Do we really have to? I mean, can’t we find a less devastating and apocalyptic way to take over the Never Sea?” Sinker asked nervously. “No!” Lord Fathom answered. “Point taken.” The squid replied as the two went back underwater, swimming towards a crevice in the ground as Lord Fathom swam fast before approaching a darkened cave and spotting the doors ahead of him. “At last, Dreadnought Cove!” He said before floating in front of the doors, “Behind this door lies the thing that breathes evil, that lives for doing evil! Is this not the most magnificent moment ever, Sinker?” He asked before glancing over, “Sinker? Sinker, where are you?” He yelled.
Sinker popped out from behind a couple of rocks. “I’m over here, staying alive, out of the Splash Zone of Doom!” He answered. “Fool! Prepare to greet the beast!” Lord Fathom said before turning around, the Emerald glowing and creating a bright aura and light. “Rise, great behemoth. Rise!” He shouted and blasted his magic at the door as it encased the door’s lock and began unlocking it. “Yes.” He said before a loud screech came from behind the doors as they began to open.
Above, bubbles protruded the surface and a large rumbling sound occurred as Beatrice, Frost, and Hook all paused on preparing to launch another wave of cannonballs. “What in blazes was that?” Hook asked as the others were working on uprighting one of the deck’s cannons. “I think it was...” Cubby started, “THE STRAKE!” Smee, Sharky, Bones, and Cubby shouted fearfully, looking around.
The doors opened as a large, blue creature with three heads emerged from the cave, screeching, and hissing altogether loudly as Lord Fathom swam up to the three heads. “Strake! So good to see you after all these years. If only King Neptune had not teamed up with Captain Colossus and imprisoned us, but since those two meddlers are nowhere to be seen, no one can stop us and I will be free to rule as I please!” Lord Fathom explained as the Strake hissed and screeched at him, making Lord Fathom fall back a little as Sinker screamed a little. “I think he got up on the wrong side of the seabed!” The squid said.
“Well, then, I just have to remind him who’s in charge here.” Lord Fathom replied before swimming back up and raising his trident in front of the Strake as the creature looked away from the blinding light, but once it dimmed and they looked at Lord Fathom. Their eyes were the same color as the sea creatures’ under his control. “There, there. It’s okay. I can see you’re a bit unsettled, but soon you will use all that pent up negative energy where it belongs. Against my enemies! Now, go forth and destroy the Colossus!” He ordered as the Strake swam past, heading for the surface with Lord Fathom and Sinker in tow.
On the surface, more shipwrecks began to surface as Skully looked at the water. “Colossal crackers! Those enchanted shipwrecks are back! Get ready for another colossal pounding, mates!” Skully warned, flying down as Cubby stood beside Jake at the railing. “I’ve got an idea.” He said before running over to the wheel and sliding to grab hold of it, “Captains and crew, hold on! It’s triple full speed ahead!” Jake warned before sailing the Colossus away from the shipwrecks, making the ships follow after him as he looked back a little. “Get ready to... swerve!” He said, turning the ship and beginning to make a figure eight in the water.
“Swerve! Get ready and turn! Way-hey!” He shouted, looking back and moving out of the way in the nick of time as the three shipwrecks crashed into each other and sank back down into the sea below. “Yeah hah!” The crew and captains cheered in victory. “You did good, Captain Jake!” Flynn said. “Haha! Wrecking the shipwrecks, a clever plan she was!” Frost commented as Seth looked up at the sky and went wide eyed. “Um...guys!” He yelled as thunder rumbled above their heads while dark clouds gathered in the sky, lightning striking overhead.
Hook gasped, standing next to Smee. “This be just like me nightmare!” Hook said, ducking behind his first mate fearfully as the rumbling grew louder. “I don’t think that’s all...” Seth added before looking out towards the water as the Strake pierced the surface, screeching loudly as the whole crew was astonished. “No way! Whoa! Coconuts! Shiver me crackers!” The four shouted and ran to the stairs quickly. “Destroy the League of Pirate Captains!” Lord Fathom ordered the Strake. “You heard the king. Destroy, destroy, and then destroy them even more!” Sinker chuckled before looking down at Lord Fathom, “Was that too much?” He asked.
The Strake growled, slithering over the ship as Flynn, Frost, and Hook leapt in front of it. “Make way for the Three Buccaneers!” Flynn announced. “We will mop the deck with you!” Hook said. “And then sweep you away for good!” Frost added before one of the Strake’s heads slammed against the three, tossing them aside like they were ragdolls as they landed against the railing and looked over at the growling sea beast. “Mes amies, this situation, she does not look so good.” Frost said, the three sitting down from being cornered.
Before the monster could try and attack them, a figure swung past on a rope in front of the three as Jake landed on one of the sail’s masts. “Captain Jake!” The three captains yelled in relief. “Us captains gotta stick together!” Jake laughed before looking at the sea beast, “Strake, you might be giant and have three heads, but none of them are fast enough to catch one of me!” Jake yelled. “Careful, lad! This creature is not to be toyed with!” Flynn warned as Jake only grinned. “Neither am I!” He replied, stepping his foot into the loop of rope before swinging off.
The Strake snapped its jaws at Jake, trying to catch him as Jake went to one of the higher sails, cutting it down quickly and catching the Strake when the sail fell on top of it before watching it dive below the water once again. “Coconuts!” Cubby exclaimed as he, Seth and Izzy came out of their safe place. “Yo ho, way to go!” The three kids cheered as Frost and Flynn along with Hook managed to get to one of the higher decks. “Nice work! You beat the scales off that!” Frost said as Jake grinned after landing on the deck only to nearly lose his footing at the Strake hitting against the ship.
The crew yelled and screamed, tumbling around from the force as the Strake’s tail wrapped around the ship while screeching and roaring. “Yes! Crush the Colossus! Sink it! Turn it into driftwood!” Lord Fathom yelled as Izzy, Cubby, and Seth cowered under the Strake’s tail, pinned in a corner. “Jake, we got to get out of here! We’re gonna be squished. And I don’t want to be squished!” Cubby shouted. “I don’t think any of us want to be squished!” Seth said. “Izz, engage our classic emergency plan!” Jake called out as Izzy managed to get up. “Engaging! Pixie dust a-” She was cut off from the ship being crashed into as Izzy was knocked against the railing, her pixie dust dumping into the water by accident.
“Busted buckets! My pixie dust!” She gasped as Seth grabbed her and pulled her back to help Izzy back onto her feet as she held onto his arms to gain her balance. “Thanks,” She said. “No problem.” He nodded to her as they looked over at the snarling sea monster and then looked down over the railing. “Captain Jake, what’s our next plan?” Izzy asked as Jake suddenly felt his heart skip a beat. “I...I don’t have another plan.” He answered.
“But mon ami, you’re the Captain of the Mighty Colossus!” Frost said. “Just like your hero, Captain Colossus!” Skully added as Jake gripped his sword. “Right! And he would never give up.” He said before getting an idea and running to the very front of the ship, climbing up to face Lord Fathom, “Lord Fathom, no matter what you and your monster try to do, we will never let you rule the Never Sea!” Jake yelled at him. “Insignificant flesh-thing! You are a useless bug. Strake, back away from the ship!” Lord Fathom ordered as one of the heads gave a final hiss at Jake before retreating from the ship, “I must show the ‘captain’ what I do with pests like him.” He said and began shooting magic blasts at the ship.
Jake raised his sword as the first few missed him only for one to strike his sword and knock him back, landing on his back and feeling the breath knocked out of him. “Jake, whatever happens, you show that merwizard who he’s messing with.” Savaa’s voice repeated in his head briefly as Jake rolled over and spotted his sword. “Can’t...let...him...win.” He said, forcing himself to get his breath back before grabbing his sword and getting back up, looking over at Lord Fathom. “No one can defeat me!” He yelled at the boy and began shooting more magical blasts at Jake as the captain stayed knelt to the ground to avoid being hit and so he could steady his breathing.
“But I don’t think I can do it alone!” He said before suddenly spotting the tip of his sword shine as he stood back up and held the sword in both of his hands tightly as a white beam of light shot into the air from his sword and diving into the water below. “What strange magic is this?” Lord Fathom asked as everyone stood still, watching the water as it crashed with waves before a large water figure emerged, a trident in his hand as the crew gasped. “King Neptune?” Jake questioned, completely shocked at seeing the King before him.
“It is I, young mortal. I am here to make sure that my kingdom is protected from Lord Fathom and the Strake.” King Neptune replied to the young captain. “I’m totally honored to help, your majesty. What should we do next?” Jake asked. “Not we. This is all up to you, Captain Jake. Even your mighty captain’s sword knows this.” Neptune explained as the boy looked down at his sword in his hands. “It does?” He questioned before smiling at seeing it shine up towards the tip a few times. “It has great magical power, but know this - To use the powers of your captain’s sword, you must believe in yourself more than ever before!” Neptune explained before a magical beam hit straight past him.
“Neptune, you stopped me once, but this finless boy has absolutely no chance! Once I take care of him, I will happily take the crown off your head!” Lord Fathom threatened. “As always, your evil words hold no water with me. You will never succeed thanks to Captain Jake!” Neptune replied before turning the vessel, “Jake, stop Lord Fathom and the Strake. Together they have the power to destroy everything on sea and land!” He continued. “But they’re both unstoppable!” Jake said. “And so are you. Believe it! Just like how Savaa has always believed in you.” Neptune explained before vanishing within the waves.
“Believe it? That’s easy for him to say! He’s King Neptune!” He said as Jake looked up and spotted Savaa on the rocky platform that Lord Fathom created for her, her eyes still green and one of her legs off the ground, but she remained focused on him as he gripped his sword, “But I know I can do this, for the Neversea, for Neverland, for the whole wide world, and especially for Savaa and my family! Mighty Captain’s Sword, let her rip!” He yelled before the sword lit up as Jake grinned and aimed his sword, blasting a white beam as it struck the bottom of Lord Fathom and making him fall into the water as the Strake dove into the water.
The crew started cheering once again. “Good one!” Flynn said. “You iced him!” Frost shouted. “Whoo-hoo!” Sharky and Bones cheered, lifting Seth up into the air. “You’ve done me proud!” Hook yelled. “Hey!” Seth said as Hook laughed and turned around, pulling Seth into a hug, “You’ve done me proud too, Seth, me boy.” He chuckled, “All of you!” He added.
Lord Fathom surfaced as he growled at Jake. “How dare you, boy?” He said before summoning his waterspout again and began sending a volley of magic blasts towards the captain as Jake smirked. “Right back atcha!” He replied before using his sword to easily deflect both blasts and sending them back towards Lord Fathom who ducked down to avoid being hit as Jake laughed. “How’s that for believing?” He asked himself before gasping at hearing a loud noise behind him, turning around and coming face to face with the Strake, but grabbed his sword and put on a brave face as the sword shined brightly once again.
Jake looked at his sword as it suddenly lifted him up again into the air. “Hey, what’s going on?” He asked before being shot further up when the Strake tried to snap at Jake as the boy started flying in the air. “Wow, with you, I can fly!” He said before diving back down towards the Strake. “That sword is truly bewitched!” Lord Fathom said. “The kid’s not that bad either.” Sinker added as Jake flew around the Strake and its heads, dodging each snap and bite with ease. “Get him!” Lord Fathom ordered as Jake swiveled around the heads, laughing a little. “Yeah!” He yelled, “Haha, woohoo!” He flew forward before heading up when the Strake jumped at him, diving into the water.
“Haha! Let’s go!” Jake called after the Strake as it chased after the flying captain before hearing something behind him and spotting the Strake’s tail raised from the water as he managed to dodge out of the way in time. Jake gripped his sword and aimed at the tail, shooting a magical blast and causing the Strake to shriek and growl in pain as it dove straight back into the water. “Ha! The Mighty Captain’s Sword rules!” He said triumphantly. “Only I, King Fathom, rule!” The merwizard shouted before blasting at Jake as the captain was prepared and struck back the blast, but was flown back a little from the impact. “Hey! Whoa. It’s now or never! And a Neverland Pirate Captain never says never!” He said before diving towards Lord Fathom.
“Woohoo!” He chuckled, dodging each blast the merwizard shot at him before moving to the side of him, dodging another blast and striking a laying pose on the opposite side. “Careful.” He playfully warned before dodging another blast while laughing, dodging once again and flying upside down behind him as Lord Fathom tried to spot the boy when he realized he lost sight of him. “I’ll be taking this.” Jake suddenly said, coming up from beneath him and using his sword to take out the Darklight Emerald from Fathom’s trident.
“The emerald! No!” He yelled as Jake zipped upwards and grabbed hold of the emerald quickly. “Yes!” He cheered before flying back towards the Colossus as Lord Fathom tried to summon magic from his trident only for nothing to come out. “This is impossible! Sinker, do something! And do not disappoint me!” He ordered. “Yes, master!” Sinker saluted before diving down from his shoulder. “Pirate boy! Give me that emerald!” He said darkly while leaping in and out of the water, heading towards Jake who stopped and looked back at him. “You want the emerald? I got a better idea.” He said before blasting the magic from his sword as the blast exploded in front of the squid, startling Sinker who yelped and raced back and straight up onto his master’s shoulder to hide.
The Strake breached the surface again, growling at Jake a little. “Well done, Captain Jake.” Neptune’s voice praised him all of a sudden as Jake looked over, spotting King Neptune’s water form once again as he rose from the sea, “You have stripped away Lord Fathom’s evil power.” He continued as Jake looked over at the growling Strake. “But what about the Strake?” He asked, “He looks kind of ticked off and totally out of control!” He said as the Strake roared and screeched into the air. “Listen carefully. Raise the emerald high and say these words; ‘Hear me Strake, prepare to sleep! Slumber forever in the lower deep!’” Neptune instructed.
Jake looked over, spotting the Strake suddenly charging towards them as he looked back at Neptune. “Quickly, Captain Jake! You have the emerald. You alone have the power to control the Strake!” He said as Jake nodded and sped towards the Strake quickly. “Go get him, Jake!” Izzy and Seth shouted while the crew cheered. “Oh coconuts. I can’t watch.” Cubby said, covering his eyes.
The Strake charged forward as Jake flew past them and went up a little bit to bring the Strake to a halt as its heads raised up to his level. “Hear me Strake, prepare to sleep! Slumber forever in the lower deep!” Jake reiterated what Neptune told him to do as the green color in their eyes vanished, the Strake looking and becoming sleepy as ordered before it sank below the water and returning to Dreadnaught Cove where the doors closed and locked away the Strake once again. The clouds began to clear away and the waves in the water came to a calming halt.
Jake flew back over to King Neptune and looked at him. “How did I do, King Neptune?” Jake asked. “Not bad! Couldn’t have done any better myself!” Neptune answered. “Thanks for believing in me!” He said. “Thanks for believing in yourself!” The king replied before vanishing into the water below once again for the final time. “Excuse me, kind captain.” A stranger suddenly caught Jake’s attention as Jake looked over quickly, spotting a stranger on top of a piece of driftwood, “On behalf of the Never Sea, I want to congratulate you on your great victory over that nasty merwizard. Nasty thing, he was!” He said before eyeing the gem in Jake’s hand, “Ooh, what an amazing gem! Might I get a closer look?” The stranger asked.
The captain secretly grinned, knowing what to do. “Sure!” He answered before reaching the gem out only to pull it away at the last second, “But then again...” He started as Jake flew back and tossed the emerald into the air before blasting his sword’s magic and destroying the Darklight Emerald into pieces. “NOOO!” Lord Fathom yelled, revealing himself as the stranger as the bits of emerald landed in the water below.
With the emerald destroyed, sea creatures suddenly reverted back to normal while the Never-sharks in front of the prison cell swam away when the effects of the emerald wore off, freeing Coralie, Marina, and Stormy as suddenly, Coralie’s crown returned to her head, signifying her place as queen had been restored while Neptune City was turned back to normal of it’s glorious self. “We’re free! My crown is back! Oh, thank Neptune.” Queen Coralie said. “Thank Jake! He must have defeated Lord Fathom!” Marina replied. “Woohoo!” Stormy cheered. “Jake is my hero, vo-dee-oh-do.” Sandy said, revealing himself from hiding under a seashell.
On the surface, Savaa suddenly snapped back to normal as her vision briefly blurred from the effects of the emerald wearing off before the rock created by Lord Fathom vanished beneath her as the Never-leopard briefly screeched for a split second before plunging into the water below as Lord Fathom turned around. “Creatures of the sea, rise up and attack! Destroy my enemies!” He ordered as several sea creatures arose and looked at Lord Fathom. “You see, Sinker? I knew my most loyal subjects would not abandon their king!” He said as the sea creatures started growling at him.
“Why aren’t you attacking? You must obey! I am your king!” Lord Fathom ordered as the sea creatures began approaching the two of them. “Not anymore!” Sinker yelled before screaming and swimming off quickly as Jake returned to the ship quickly as everyone started cheering for him. “Yay, Jake!” Cubby shouted before the group looked over, watching Lord Fathom being chased off by the sea creatures. “Wait, if the sea creatures aren’t under his control anymore...” Cubby started as Jake gasped and looked around quickly. “SKULLY! FAST CLAW! I NEED EYES IN THE AIR!” He ordered. “Aye aye, Captain Jake!” Skully shouted as he and Fast Claw took off as fast as possible into the air, flying around the area.
Savaa surfaced quickly, coughing and gasping as she looked around before grabbing hold of some driftwood, pain flaring up in her hind leg and her claws dug into the wood a little bit. “Over here!” Skully yelled as Fast Claw screeched, circling the area above the Never-leopard as Jake ran to the helm and spun the wheel, steering towards them. “Captains, prepare a net!” He ordered as Flynn and Hook grabbed one of the nets and ran to the edge, attaching some ropes to the ends. Once the Colossus was in position, they threw the net overboard and caught the Never-leopard with it.
“We got her! Pull her up!” Izzy shouted to the others as Seth and Bones started cranking a lever, pulling up the feline from the water as Jake ran down the steps, racing over as fast as he could. Everyone took a few steps back as the crew lowered the net onto the deck, the net releasing and laying the Never-leopard out as the captain ran over to her and sat down on his knees, placing a hand on Savaa’s neck. “Savaa?” He breathed out, looking for a response as Savaa’s eyes opened, her amber eyes having returned to normal.
“Jake...? What...What’s with the new look?” She questioned tiredly as Jake hugged her tightly and then looked at her, trying to hold back his tears. “We beat him, Savs...We showed him who he was messing with.” He told her as Izzy and Cubby ran over and joined the hug, relieved to see Savaa had returned to normal. “Oh no...” Seth whispered as he moved over and knelt down by her hind legs and felt the bruised area as Savaa suddenly snarled and tried to reach back as Jake stopped her. “Whoa whoa whoa! Savs, it’s okay. Easy girl.” He told her, bringing her head back into his lap.
Izzy hurried over to Seth and felt the same area real quick as Savaa groaned. “It’s sprained. Come on, Let’s move her to the Captain’s Quarters. Flynn, Frost, can you head in there ahead of us and get a makeshift bed ready?” Izzy asked as the two captains nodded and ran to the door to head inside the Quarters. “Jake, we need to get her up.” Izzy said as Jake nodded. “Savs, can you walk just a few lengths?” He asked as Savaa nodded before starting to get up as Bones and Sharky ran over with Beatrice joining them as they helped the leopard to her paws, bringing her to the opened door.
Once inside, they set her down on a makeshift bed that Flynn and Frost made using blankets and pillows as Savaa groaned in relief while Izzy grabbed supplies for a makeshift splint. “Captain Flynn, set a course back to Neverland Beach.” Jake said as Flynn nodded before running out with Frost and giving the small crew their privacy with their friend. “Hey Savaa, guess what? Jake’s now a captain. For real! That’s why he has the whole new look. And we defeated Lord Fathom once and for all!” Cubby started so that he and Jake could get Savaa’s mind off her leg while Izzy treated it.
Savaa’s eyes slightly lit up as she looked at Jake as he nodded. “Yeah...I no longer have my destiny sword. Instead, I now have a Mighty Captain’s Sword.” He explained, keeping a hand on Savaa’s head as he pulled out his new sword to let her take a gander at it as she reached her nose out and sniffed it. “What in Neverland even happened?” She asked as Jake, Cubby and Skully looked at her. “You don’t remember?” Skully asked her. “No. A-All I remember is hearing Lord Fathom’s voice in my head and then everything went blurry and I woke up from the darkness to see you all with the captains and crews.” She answered before looking around, “Uh...we’re not on Bucky, are we?” She asked.
Jake chuckled. “No. That’s one thing the Destiny Sword did too. Not only did it change me into my new look, it also brought back the Mighty Colossus!” He explained as Savaa perked up her ears. “You mean...Y-You...” She stammered. “Yep, I brought back the Mighty Colossus.” Jake chuckled as Savaa placed her head against him. “I have so many questions, but...I’m so tired.” She said as Jake held her close a little. “There. That should hold until we get back to Pirate Island.” Izzy said, finishing the splint as Savaa looked over, seeing the makeshift splint as she sighed in slight relief.
“Get some rest, Savaa. Okay?” Izzy told her, placing a hand on Savaa’s shoulder as the Never-leopard laid her head down and started to drift asleep the moment her head laid down. Jake rubbed her ears before leaving her to sleep and walking out with the rest as they headed onto the deck while they looked at the crew as they looked over in return when they heard the four come out of the Captain’s Quarters. “How is she?” Hook asked. “She’ll be okay. She has no memory of the events that happened and I feel like it might be best. I don’t want to leave her traumatized.” Jake answered.
“Are you sure, Captain Jake?” Seth asked. “I’m sure. It might be for the best.” He nodded to Seth as the ship returned to the shore with the crew disembarking real quick. Once on the beach, Jake was surprised at suddenly being picked up by Captain Frost and placed on his shoulder. “Hail Captain Jake! Hail Captain Jake!” They cheered together before placing him back down as Jake looked at them. “Thanks, mateys. But I couldn’t have done it without the Neverland League of Pirate Captains.” Jake explained.
“Why, we will help you anytime, lad.” Frost answered. “And the Mighty Colossus will sail once again!” Flynn added as the crew cheered again before hurrying back to the Mighty Colossus and hurrying aboard as Sharky, Bones, and Seth whipped out their instruments. “We won the fight for Neverland in a battle on the Never Sea! And thanks to Captain Jake, now every one of us is finally free!” The three sang together. “Now every Captain takes a stand to fight for Never Sea and land,” Sharky sang. “The legend of Captain Jake.” The others sang. “And there is one you will agree, who’ll lead us all to victory.” Bones sang. “The legend of Captain Jake.” The crew sang.
“If the fate of Neverland is ever at stake, we can count on pirate hero, Captain Jake!” The three sang again, “He’ll win the fight for Neverland and every battle on the Never Sea! And here’s to Captain Jake, because every one of us is finally free! Thanks to legendary pirate hero, Captain Jake!” The whole crew sang before the crew cheered for Jake excitedly as Izzy and Cubby ran over and hugged Jake who hugged his mateys back real quick. “I think it is time for all of us to head home,” Beatrice suggested.
“Definitely. Because we all need to repair our ships and also take a rest.”Hook nodded in agreement as Jake went to the helm and grabbed the wheel before suddenly starting to feel lightheaded. “Captain Jake, what’s wrong?” Skully asked, flying over to him. “I...I don’t...know...” His voice trailed off before his eyes rolled back while dropping onto the ground as Skully gasped. “CAPTAIN DOWN! CAPTAIN DOWN!” The bird started screaming as the crew bolted up the steps as Izzy and Cubby were the first ones to Jake’s side, shaking his shoulder.
“Jake?! Jake?!” Izzy asked fearfully. Flynn raced over and placed a hand on Jake’s head. “He’s overexerted himself. He’s okay. And just like Hook said, we all need a rest. And for Jake, today took a toll on him. Take him down to his quarters and let him rest with Savaa.” The desert pirate suggested as Hook walked over and picked up Jake in his arms as Beatrice caught his hat when it fell off his head. The two hurried down to the Captain’s Quarters as they carefully headed inside and laid Jake down beside Savaa after they got his coat off as Hook grabbed a blanket and tucked it over Jake gently.
Hook and Beatrice quietly left, closing the door as Savaa looked over at the door and then back down before purring at seeing the sleeping Jake as she nuzzled his head gently before curling up around him protectively. “Sleep, Captain Jake. You deserve it. I’m proud of you.” She whispered before slowly falling asleep again.
“Alright. Jake’s out of commission. Flynn, take over the wheel. Sharky, Bones, take care of the sails. Everyone else, help put up the remaining cannonballs and tie down the cannons.” Izzy started directing out orders as Hook crossed his arms. “Hold up, and who put you in charge, puny pirate?” Hook asked. “Technically, before the crews united, I was Jake’s First Mate and since he’s now Captain of the Colossus, that still makes me first mate to the ship, but me and Cubby share the role of First Mate because of how big the crew and ship is.” Izzy explained with a clear smirk on her face, unfazed at Hook. Seth walked over and pulled Hook away by the back of his coat. “Hey hey hey! Hands off!” Hook ordered. “You heard her, Uncle Hook.” He chuckled as Hook grumbled and followed after his nephew as Izzy and Cubby shared a high five before hurrying to help out with everything.
Once everything was set, the crews started to set off on their ships to head home. “Cheerio! Tata! Yay-hey!” Hook’s crew waved to Queen Coralie while they left followed by the others. “Fair waves to ye, ladies!” Flynn bid farewell. “Au revoir!” Beatrice waved to them. “Ta-ta!” Frost said as the Colossus followed the ships to head home to Neverland. “So long, Queen Coralie!” Izzy waved to the mermaids. “Tell Jake we said thank you all for saving my kingdom!” Coralie said. “We will!” The three replied. “You’re welcome, Queen Coralie!” Cubby said.
“I got to say, mateys, it really feels good to help out our friends whenever they’re in trouble.” Izzy told Skully and Cubby before hearing a bell ring as they looked over at Bucky who was in tow with a rope, his sails tattered and torn as the ship looked almost destroyed from the earlier attack. “And that means you too, Bucky!” Cubby said. “And we’re gonna make sure that you’re as good as new again. You’ll be better than ever!” Izzy added. “Then we might have to start calling you Mighty Bucky.” Skully joked a little as Bucky rang his bell in response. “Aye-aye, Bucky! Yay-hey!” The crew cheered.
Down below the sea of what they didn’t know, Lord Fathom hid in Dreadnaught cove with Sinker after being able to escape the sea creatures. “Lord Fathom, maybe it’s not all bad. At least you’re still free.” Sinker pointed out. “You call this free? Forced to hide like a guppy? Well, trust me, this will not be the last time Captain Jake sees me.” He said, revealing a small piece of the Darklight Emerald in the palm of his hand as Sinker gasped. “Oh! You saved a tiny sliver of the emerald!” He said. “Yes! And with it, my power will grow again. Only next time, I won’t just rule the Never Sea. I will rule Neverland and the lands beyond the Never Sea!”He explained. “Oh, so says the despotic, dark-hearted future King Lord Fathom!” Sinker announced before hearing a loud growl from behind the doors and banging following after. “Time to flee!” Lord Fathom yelled. “Time to flee!” Sinker screamed as the two swam off immediately followed by loud screeching and roaring coming from the doors.
Jake groaned and slowly woke up, finding himself beside Savaa, who was curled up around him as he looked around, finding a blanket tucked over him with his coat and hat on a chair nearby them. “Jake?” Izzy’s voice whispered as he looked at the opened door, spotting his friend and sister as she smiled at seeing him awake. “Hey! You’re awake!” She whispered, walking over with a small bowl of broth as Jake sat up, rubbing at his eyes. “What happened?” He asked. “You passed out. Captain Flynn said that you possibly were overexerted from everything that happened today. Me and Cubby got to check out the ship and found the galley so we made you some chicken soup.” Izzy explained.
She handed him the bowl as he gladly took the soup and used the spoon to eat quietly. Izzy moved over and checked on Savaa’s splint, moving away a little when she growled in her sleep, but eased up a little when the pressure stopped. “Looks like her splint is holding up.” She said as Jake finished eating his soup and set it aside before wrapping the blanket around himself. “Where are the others?” He asked. “They went home. We’re already back at Pirate Island, but we didn’t want to move either of you since you both needed the sleep.” Izzy explained. “And Cubby?” He added.
“Down in the galley making the rest of us something to eat.” She answered. “Today has been crazy, huh?” Jake chuckled. “Honestly, it has. Well, we have a lot of work to do in the next few days,” She replied. “Like getting you more pixie dust and patching up Bucky and giving him a new look since I got a new look too. And maybe even revamp the hideout too since I think we need a new way for us to open our treasure chest.” Jake explained. “Definitely. For now, you continue on resting. You need it. Me and Cubby will handle the rest. Got it?” Izzy ordered jokingly as Jake smirked. “Aye aye, First Mate Izzy.” He teased as Izzy lightly nudged him before taking the bowl and leaving them be.
Jake leaned back against Savaa and took a deep breath as Savaa looked at him and licked his cheek as he laughed. “Savs!!” He exclaimed. “And hello to you too.” Savaa said as Jake lightly pushed her muzzle away, “From now on, after today, you will lead us to new adventures ahead of all of us as a captain now.” She told him. “Yeah. I definitely will. With you and my mateys at my side.” He replied, tucking the blanket around himself while laying back down to go back to sleep as Savaa smiled, whispering to him. “Good night, Captain Jake.”
