Work Text:

“Come on, come on, come on!” A boy laughed, running to the bow of a ship as it sailed across the sea as he grabbed a rope and looked around before looking back towards the deck as an older man chuckled. “Drop anchor, men.” He commanded as two other men saluted their captain. “Aye aye, Captain!” They replied before releasing the anchor down below and stopping short near some rocks as the boy climbed down and ran over quickly, gasping at tripping on a board as one of the men on the deck caught him. “Ho ho, slow down, Sethster.” He said, placing the boy down.

“Sorry, Uncle Smee.” Seth replied before running to his parents and looking over the side of the ship towards the water with them eagerly. “This is where the treasure is,” Hook said. “Are you truly certain we need to take the plunge, captain?” Smee asked while joining at his captain’s side and then going towards the periscope, “That horrible serpent, the Strake, lives in the dreadful cove below.” He explained while looking around below the surface and spotting the Strake’s tail and where the sea beast rested since the day of Lord Fathom’s return. “See? He’s sleeping like a baby, and we do not want to wake the baby now, do we, captain?” Smee asked.

Hook rolled his eyes, walking over to his first mate. “Cast off your ninny-nanny worries, Mr.Smee. I am not interested in that beast. I want the fabled treasure that sank with that Mighty Colossus ship. The lost treasure of...What was that pompous pirate’s name again?” Hook asked. “Captain Colossus!” Sharky, Bones and Seth answered together, whipping out their instruments while doing so and starting to play them.

“There be one great treasure every pirate wants to find. We agree that it’s the greatest, what we don’t know is what kind...” They started off slow before Bones started strumming his mandolin a little faster, “Captain Colossus had the greatest treasure ever!” They sang as Sharky pulled down a picture of the very captain. “There be riches untold!” Sharky sang. “Hatches overflow with gold.” Bones sang. “Whatever it be, the greatest treasure ever. Well, it doesn’t really matter and that’s what makes it sadder ‘cause no one can find it-”

“STOP!” Hook suddenly yelled as they jumped a little, startled at getting stopped as Seth duck behind his parents a little, “No one could find it until now.” He started as the three grinned before returning to their song, “The greatest treasure ever, will go to the greatest pirate.” Hook began before sliding down on a rope where Sharky and Bones prepared his diving suit, “The greatest treasure ever goes to me! Ya can’t deny it. If I have to use every hook that’s up my sleeve! The greatest treasure will belong to me!” Hook finished the song off as he was finally suited up to go under.

Seth ran over and helped Smee after he got suited up before the two stood on the edge of the ship. “Sharky, Bones, take us down. Now.” Hook ordered as Sharky and Bones began to crank the wheels. “Going down, captain!” They said in unison before lifting them up until Bones and Sharky lost their grip and plunged both of the men into the water. “Good luck, uncles! Hope you find the treasure!” Seth called down to them before running to help with the air pumps.

Down below near the ocean floor, a familiar old foe swam through the seaweed and kelp along the ground before emerging and looking at the very door ahead of him and his companion. “Move it, Sinker. No time to waste.” He ordered. “Yes! O’ Lord Fathom. Now that this piece of the Darklight Emerald is helping your great power return, you can begin ruling the Never Sea again!” Sinker laughed. “Exactly! I am finally ready to wake the Strake from his slumber, for the mighty beast shall help me regain my throne-” Lord Fathom was cut off from someone landing right on top of him as the Darklight Emerald fell from the trident.

Sinker quickly hid as Hook looked around only to suddenly be snatched in a large net right in front of Smee in the blink of an eye. “Oh, dear me! C-Captain?” He questioned as Sinker came out of hiding. “Oh, Lord Fathom! I think that net was meant for you!” He said before looking around, “Lord Fathom? Boss man?” He asked as Lord Fathom swam back up, shaking his head a little. “Quit your gill gabbing. We must get my Darklight Emerald back!” He ordered, swimming after the floating emerald. “Master knows best.” Sinker shrugged before following after his master immediately.

Sharky and Bones grabbed the air pipes as Bones held up Captain Hook’s and looked at it as Seth was growing worried until spotting Smee surface from the water. “Mr.Smee! Where be the captain?” Sharky asked. “He’s gone! Someone or something caught him, like a fish!” Smee answered. “WE GOTTA FIND HIM!” Seth said, looking at his dads who looked at each other. “We need help!” They replied as Seth ran to the crank and started to bring Smee back up to the deck as Sharky and Bones raced to help.

Somewhere else on the seas, the Mighty Colossus sailed across the water as the sails dropped down all together. “Steady as she goes, mates!” A young captain ordered as the ship turned quickly. “Aye aye, Captain Jake!” The crew of four replied as Izzy pulled a rope to steady the sails with Skully flying above her head. “Cubby, we’re still on course, right?” Captain Jake asked, steering the Mighty Colossus as Savaa causally laid by a barrel and looked over at it real quick. “Um, I guess so.” The boy answered from inside of it as Jake looked over and walked towards the barrel. “Cubby, what’s wrong?” He asked.

Cubby peeked out, looking at his friend. “Everything about this mission we’re on. Going to Dreadnaught Cove is officially coconuts!” He answered before pulling out his map and opening it, “Anyplace the Strake is sleeping is bad. Super bad!” He added as Jake gently pushed the map down. “Don’t worry. We’re not gonna wake him up. We just want to make sure that Captain Hook doesn’t.” Jake explained as Izzy and Skully came over to see what was going on. “And that’s another thing. Skully, are you sure you saw Hook sailing out this way?” Cubby asked while pulling himself out and sitting on the edge of the barrel, “Totally sure?”

“Sure I’m sure!” The parrot answered. “I can vouch for Skully. We both did.” Savaa said, standing up from where she laid. “If that crookedy-crook is around, we’ll spot him!” Skully added before a loud squawking sound came, surprising the bird, “Oh, crackers. We got company and it ain’t Hook.” He said as Savaa looked over the railing, spotting a bright orange and yellow colored bird flying around and coming straight to the ship as Jake pulled out his telescope, looking through it and spotting the creature. “It’s a bird!” The captain said. “A Neverland Firebird! They’re the fastest birds ever!” Skully added. “And this one’s on the way here, heading straight for us.” Cubby warned.

Amongst the mist nearby, a shadowy figure sat in a boat cautiously and watched the firebird fly towards the Mighty Colossus. “So this is where that bird is headed. Just as I suspected.” The figure whispered while approaching from behind carefully as the bird squawked loudly while coming straight onto the ship. “Incoming!” Skully warned. “DUCK!” Savaa roared as everyone ducked except Skully who was flipped in the air from the bird swooping past them as the firebird swooped past once again right above Izzy who managed to duck and cover her head in time before the firebird flew to Jake and flew around him. “Whoa!” He gasped as the bird managed to grab his attention and fly away from him before tapping its beak against one of the masts.

Skully flew over quickly, looking at the Neverland Firebird. “Hey! Whoa!” He started only to move out of the way when the bird flew to another mast and started doing the same thing closer to the wheel as a hidden hatch opened and revealed a book as Savaa walked over and sniffed the book and door before nodding to Jake and the others. “It’s safe,” She told them. “Check it out!” Jake said, running over to the mast and picking up the item, “A book.” He told them while picking up the journal and turning around, “I bet it’s the captain’s log. All captains write about their travels in a journal and this is the one that Captain Colossus wrote! These symbols are his initials. I bet he hid the journal here before he disappeared.” Captain Jake explained to the crew.

“Wait a minute. How did this whack bird know that was in there?” Skully asked. “Sounds like a mystery,” Izzy answered. “Yeah, just like Red here suddenly showing up without an invite,” Skully replied. “Or like how every captain has a bird, maybe this bird knew Captain Colossus. Just a hunch.” Savaa spoke up as the firebird squawked at the both of them. Jake looked through the book’s pages. “I can’t wait to read what Captain Colossus had to say. Wow, he must have explored all over the Never World.” Jake said, lifting the book up a little until a key suddenly fell out of it and onto the ground as Savaa bent over and picked it up.

Savaa lifted it up as Cubby looked at it. “Hey, what’s that?” He asked. “It’s a...key?” Jake replied questionably after Savaa dropped the key into his hand, looking at its appearance, “It’s made out of crystal!” He commented before the firebird started chirping and squawking again. “Does the journal say anything about it?” Izzy asked. “Let’s see.” Jake responded, handing the key to Savaa real quick, who gladly held it between her teeth gently, before looking through the book until finding a page, “‘North, South, East, West. I rathered riches from all over the Never Sea. And every pirate worth his salt has tried to find me treasure, with no luck at all.’” Jake read from the book.

The feline heard a noise and looked over, seeing nothing as she shrugged and put her attention back on the kids, the key held gently in her mouth. “Whoa! He’s talking about the most valuable treasure ever! The one we’ve never been able to find. The lost treasure of Captain Colossus!” Izzy explained as Jake took the key back from Savaa. “I think you’re right, Izzy. Listen to this. ‘Note to all treasure hunters. No way any scoundrel is getting it. That’s why I’ve hidden the keys that open the chest. A crystal key, a golden key, and an iron key.’” Jake read aloud as the firebird flew off from them. “Cool. We’ve got one key so far.” Cubby said.

“Okay, pal, you seem to know something. So start squawking! Where’s the other two keys?” Skully ordered as the firebird squawked at a sudden shadow vanishing as she dove past the kids once again, “Whoa, where’s she going?” Skully asked as the firebird was searching the area, obviously looking and sounding distressed while landing on the railing and looking at the water, “Crackers! What’s got her feathers in a bunch?” The parrot asked. “No idea.” Jake answered before turning to his crew, “But mateys, how about we go looking for Captain Colossus’ treasure?” He asked.

The crew grinned before cheering. “Awesome! Yay! Wahoo!” The three cheered as Savaa walked over to the firebird. “Don’t mind, Skully. I think you just kind of came out of nowhere and he didn’t like that, that’s all.” She whispered as the firebird squawked quietly at her. “First, let’s see if we can find some clues to the whereabouts of these other keys.” Jake explained. “Aye aye, Captain Jake!” The crew replied before splitting up to search the ship as Savaa went to help search, leaving the firebird who squawked a little and followed after her, not noticing the small ship that sailed away from the Mighty Colossus.

On a small gear-like island, the sound of tinkering and mechanical whirring came from inside as an older man suddenly screamed. “Stay still, you naughty beast! You must listen!” He yelled, standing in front of a blueprint screen and trying to use a wrench to make a tentacled invention back down from attacking him, “For it is I, Dr.Undergear, who made you from mere scraps of metal. Ah!” He yelled at one of the tentacles hitting the wrench and casting it across the floor from him and another grabbing Undergear and lifting him upside down. “I invention-ated you, and this is how you treat me.” He said as suddenly, it powered down and put Undergear back on the ground.

“Well, it could be worse.” He chuckled, walking over and picking up his wrench before screaming at a hatch opening beneath him and making him vanish underneath the floor as the invention walked over to the hole and looked down as a figure appeared in front of it, laughing a little. “Grandpa! I made your favorite snack!” Someone shouted as the figure quickly vanished with the invention into the hole and closed it as a teenage boy peeked inside with a wooden tray. “Grandpa?” He questioned before shrugging and leaving the room, “Eh, oh well. Mine then.”

On Frozenguard, two snow mugs slept under a tree before a figure approached them. “Freezesnap!” He yelled, striking the tree with his magic and causing snow to fall on the two sleeping minions who woke up quickly and shook the snow off of themselves. “Useless snow mugs. On Frozenguard, no one rests!” Shiverjack said while walking over to them, “You guard! Now mush!” Shiverjack ordered as the snow mugs groaned and walked off before evil laughter occurred nearby and the tree shook a little, alerting Shiverjack. “What’s this? More lazy layabouts not doing their jobs? I have rules about this sort of disobedience. Freeze-” He started only to feel something lock around his waist and hoist him into the air. Shiverjack yelled, screaming a little while flying above his snow mugs as they looked around and then shrugged at not seeing or hearing anything else and continuing on their way.

Somewhere on Neverland, Shiverjack yelled at being dropped and suddenly hitting the ground as he groaned. “Frostbite.” He muttered in the darkness. “Blast and barnacles. Who did this?” Hook’s voice asked. “Oh, nasty nuts and bolts. Where am I?” Undergear questioned before a set of torches suddenly lit up the room, blinding the three momentarily as they quickly shielded or closed their eyes until they adjusted to the light. “Ice man?” Undergear asked when he spotted Shiverjack, “It was you who wrenched me from my lair?” He questioned. “Shiverjack has no interest in you, googly eyes. Or in you.” Shiverjack answered, pointing to Undergear and then Hook.

“Then who dares snatch the great and glorious Captain Hook from the Neversea like a common codfish?” Hook asked before a door opened behind them as they turned their attention to it quickly. “Gentlemen.” A voice greeted as a figure stepped through the doorway, revealing himself to the three men, “Grim greetings to one and all.” He greeted, bowing while holding out his cape a little as Undergear gasped. “It is you! The one who is everywhere and nowhere!” He said, clutching his wrench. “Oh, pirate tales say that no one escapes the Grim Buccaneer.” Shiverjack added, taking a step from the men.

Hook scoffed and put his hand and hook on his hips. “Balderdash. Ye may choose to pirate-nap these other fools, but how dare ya snare me, the infamous Captain Hook?” He rambled as Grim walked over to him. “I was not expecting you, Hook. I wanted Lord Fathom.” He said while walking straight past him. “Oh, yes, that mer-wizard is quite vicious and very powerful. Nothing like you.” Undergear said. “So true.” Shiverjack chuckled while joining Undergear, “You’re just a pompous fop, a plaything for Peter Pan to foil.” He added as the pair immediately burst into laughter.

Hook looked at them and then at Grim who was also laughing with the pair. “Blasphemy!” He outcried while walking past them and then turning back around, “I am legendary! The number one villain of Neverland and no one shakes a hook like me...” Hook said before spinning around and had replaced his hook with a plunger hook, shooting it and grabbing Shiverjack’s trident and pulling away from him before catching it with his hand and spinning around again, his plunger replaced with a mini cannon as he shot a vine attached to two coconuts at Undergear, wrapping around his ankles as the inventor fell from losing his balance. “Ah, crankshaft!” He yelled.

Grim grinned and looked back up at the pirate captain. “On second thought, Captain Hook, you might be useful after all.” He commented as Hook was cleaning his hook with his handkerchief. “Indeed. Was there ever any doubt?” Hook asked smugly. “Yes!” The others answered, surprising Hook a little as Shiverjack summoned his trident back to his hand and Undergear managed to get his legs freed. “Okay, Grim, now that we’re here, what do you want from us?” Shiverjack asked as the three stood together, looking at the Buccaneer. “I want the lost treasure of Captain Colossus.” Grim answered before chuckling evilly.

The three just looked at him, unfazed and not even looking convinced. “Doesn’t everybody?” Hook pointed out. “Well, it is now within our reach. If we work together, we can find it and split it four ways. Equal shares.” Grim began, secretly crossing his fingers behind his back. “Keep talking.” Hook said, obviously intrigued at the offer. Grim turned around and pulled a rope, showing a picture of a blue chest and three different keys. “First, we must get the three keys that open the chest. One of them has already been found by...” Grim paused to pull down a target with darts and a picture of the all familiar boy held in the middle of it.

“CAPTAIN JAKE?!” They asked in shock. “That stone cold scoundrel.” Shiverjack growled. “The worthless wiggy widget.” Undergear insulted. “The buccaneer bane of my existence!” Hook said. “Yes. This little pirate has been big trouble, but he will no longer stand in our way.” Grim said before grabbing his cape and twirling it around himself, vanishing in a puff of smoke and then reappearing behind them with papers in his hand, “If we band together as a single force.” He said before throwing them into the air and letting them catch the papers, “The Legion of Pirate Villains!” He announced.

“Evil-doers, ne’er-do-wells! Just follow me. We had enough of losing now. We need our own league. We can pull off this job better, if we’re doing bad together! That lost Colossus treasure will be ours, just wait and see!” Grim sang. “I have had enough of all this sunshine!” Shiverjack said. “Oh! And those pesky little pirates, throw a wrench in all my schemes!” Undergear sang. “I will play along, then freeze them!” Shiverjack said. “I’ll pretend to help, then squeeze them!” Undergear grinned. “I’ll cut out the other three,” Hook began. “And keep the treasure all for me! All hail the Legion of Pirate Villains! The Legion of Pirate Villains!” The four sang together before laughing evilly. “The Legion of Pirate Villains!” They repeated before putting their weapons together in the air as Grim stood before them, smiling at his now new allies. “Now, gather around, merciless mates, and I shall unveil my grim plan,” He told them.

Back on the Mighty Colossus, the crew still scattered and searched the whole ship as Jake used his sword to knock on the mast, Skully tapping his beak against the railing, Cubby heading up to the helm to check another area as Jake sighed in frustration. “Rusty anchors. No hidden hatches here. Mateys, anyone found anything?” He called before looking over at a hatch beside him opening up as Izzy groaned. “Ugh! No key, no map, no clue, no way!” She answered as a yowl came from the air and Jake cringed at seeing Savaa hanging upside down in some of the sails’ ropes. “Heh...Uh, I got nothing.” Savaa said sheepishly.

“I got nothing as well.” Skully answered before flying over. “Rotten coconuts.” Cubby muffled before popping out of a barrel of coconuts, “All I found were some rotten coconuts. Pee-yew!” He exclaimed as Skully flew above Jake. “Hey, did anyone see Redhead?” The parrot asked before the firebird shot right past them. “Whoa! I think she’s up to something!” Skully said. “Let’s see if you’re right, Skully. Crew, follow that bird!” Jake ordered as the kids and their parrot ran after the firebird into the ship’s brig. “Uh...Guys? Hello? Never-leopard still stuck up here! Oh pixie dust...” Savaa groaned, dangling from the ropes.

The Firebird flew down, leading the crew through a couple of doors and into a room as the crew followed behind her. “Hey, fast feathers, what’s all the excitement about?” Skully asked as the bird started chirping at a painting on the wall. “Relax, it’s just a-Ooh, nice painting.” The parrot commented. “And that’s one really cool castle. I love that arch with the golden stone.” Cubby said. “Cubby, that gold stone is actually called a keystone.” Izzy explained while walking over to her younger crewmate. “Keystone? I think it’s a clue.” Jake told them before walking over to the painting, “I bet Captain Colossus is telling us the golden key is there.” Jake explained.

“I know where that place is. That’s Big Stone Quarry on Neverland.” Cubby explained, pulling out his map and pointing it out to his friends. “Woo hoo! We found us a clue!” Skully said. “Crew, set sail for Neverland!” Jake told them as the crew cheered. “Aye aye, Captain Jake!” They replied before running back out onto the deck. “Ahem.” Savaa cleared her throat when seeing the kids as Izzy covered her mouth to avoid laughing. “Whoops. Sorry, Savaa.” She told her as Jake walked over to the railing. “Eh, it could've been worse.” Savaa replied before the captain cut the main rope off the railing, sending Savaa down as the Never-leopard landed on the deck. “Ow.” She wheezed.

“We managed to find the clue for our next key though!” Skully said, appearing in her face as Savaa rolled over and shook the loose ropes off of herself. “Really?” She asked. “Yep! We’re setting sail for Neverland!” Jake answered as the crew headed off together to get to Neverland. Behind them, a shark sub slowly emerged from the water and watched them secretly before heading after the Mighty Colossus.

Soon enough, the crew made land and headed off on Neverland, heading into Big Stone Quarry as Savaa looked around carefully. “Be careful, everyone.” She said as Jake climbed up a rock with the rest following after with the firebird leading the way for them all. Once the captain was at the top, he turned around and helped his mateys up with Savaa pouncing up some smaller stones to get to them. “Big Stones, dead ahead!” Skully reported as Jake spotted a glowing stone on top of an arch and grinned a little. “And there’s the keystone!” He said, pointing it out to his crew. “Yeah, but where’s the golden key?” Skully asked.

“It must be inside the keystone.” Savaa pointed out as Jake climbed down and hurried to the arch with Izzy and Cubby soon in tow. Savaa leapt down and hurried to Jake who started to climb up a few more rocks before slipping a little only for the feline to reach up and hold him with her head. “Thanks,” He said. “Not a problem. Now, please, watch the heels.” She teased as Jake climbed up carefully to the top of the arch. “Whoa!” Jake gasped, seeing the crystal key suddenly glow in his jacket as he quickly pulled it out and held it above the keystone which started to glow with it.

The crew gazed in amazement and shock at the glowing stone, watching from below. “I’ve got a hunch this key will help us find it.” The captain of the crew stated before moving the key a little closer as the keystone began vibrating and shaking before cracking and breaking open as the kids ducked to avoid some of the fragments. Savaa gasped and leapt up on her hind legs, smacking one of the larger pieces away from the two. “You guys okay?” Jake asked. “We’re fine, Captain Jake! Get the golden key!” Izzy reassured him. Jake nodded before turning his attention back to the keystone and gasped, spotting the golden key laying in the open rock. “All right! Gotta hand it to Captain Colossus, he definitely found cool places to hide the keys to his treasure.” He said, grabbing the golden key before starting to climb down with the crew hurrying to his side.

Unbeknownst to them, they were secretly being watched as Grim slowly peeked out. “Cool indeed.” He whispered. Jake looked at the two keys in his hands, pondering a little. “Hmm. The crystal key helped us find the golden key. So maybe these keys can help us find the iron key.” He explained before placing the two keys together as they briefly started glowing and suddenly pulled Jake in a certain direction. “Jake?!” The crew asked, watching him run past with the keys. “I think they want me to yo-ho go with them!” He called out to his mateys, trying to dig his boots into the ground to slow down, but faltered quickly.

The crew raced after him as Savaa launched herself forward, getting Cubby and Izzy on her back with the two birds flying overhead of them. “Whoa!” Jake yelled, being pulled through an entryway as Savaa slid to a halt in front of it. “Whoa! Awesome!” The pair of kids exclaimed, looking at the cave’s entrance. “It’s a keyhole-shaped cave,” Cubby said. “Hang on, Jake! We’re coming!” Savaa called, letting the kids off as they hurried after their captain quickly as the birds went ahead of them.

“Whoo! Key-razy!” Skully commented, looking at the keys dangling from the ceiling. “Yo ho, what do ya know?” Jake asked as the keys seemed to have slowed down on pulling the boy forward. “More keys. This is incredible!” Izzy said. “It’ll take forever to find the key we need.” Cubby told them. “We don’t have forever,” Jake replied. “The keys seem to still be leading the way.” Savaa pointed out as the keys started shaking in Jake’s hands and suddenly pulled him forward again. “We need to find the iron key now.” He said as the keys in his hands stopped pulling completely.

The kids looked up and gasped at the keys on the ceiling starting to shake and soon felt the cave shake with them too. “Whoa! What’s happening?!” Jake asked. “The sky is falling! Duck and dive!” Cubby shouted as the crew piled on top of each other, holding one another to protect themselves as Savaa leapt on top of them to protect the kids. “Hang on!” She told them as Jake gasped at a key falling that narrowly missed Savaa and landed nearby the covered crew as the cave’s shaking started to cease. “Unbelievable!” Jake exclaimed as Savaa moved off the kids to let them up, “The magic of the crystal key and the golden key helped us find...” He started off and picked up the key from the ground carefully, “The iron key!” He said.

“YEAH!” The crew cheered, giving each other a high five. “You did it, Jake! You got all three of Captain Colossus’ keys!” Izzy told them. “But what good are the keys to the treasure if we don’t know where it is?” Cubby asked, looking at his map until the firebird flew past and grabbed the boy’s map, flying out of the cave. “Hey! What do you think you’re doing?!” He yelled. “HEY! GET BACK HERE WITH THAT MAP!” Savaa roared and raced after the Neverland Firebird in a full sprint. “Maybe she knows where the treasure’s hidden!” Izzy told them. “Come on, let’s go! After that firebird!” Jake said before the three ran after the firebird and Savaa.

The bird flew back to the quarry as Savaa slid on the dirt and ran to find a shortcut to cut her off with the crew remaining behind the firebird until they turned a corner and suddenly ran into someone behind the rocks. “Ow...” Everyone groaned as the two crews sat up and groaned. “Mr.Smee, Sharky, Bones, Seth!” Jake gasped, getting off Seth and then helping him up while Izzy and Cubby helped up the other three, “What are you doing here?” The captain asked. “Sorry to surprise you so, Jake, but when the boys saw your ship docked on shore, we came a-running!” Smee explained. “We need your help!” Sharky and Bones said in unison.

“Uncle Hook’s gone!” Seth finally told them. “Our poor, misguided captain’s been pirate-napped!” Smee said. “And we don’t know who done it!” Sharky added. “Or why,” Bones added. “We need to find him and get him back.” Smee told them. “Please, Jake. Who knows why Hook’s been pirate-napped? And by who!” Seth added, holding his arm as Izzy and Cubby placed their hands on his back in reassurance. “Don’t worry, we’ll help you find Captain Hook.” Jake answered once they seemed to have finally settled down on their panic.

“Oh, bless you, lad, for being so gracious. You truly are a hero.” Mr.Smee replied as the firebird flew over which Cubby jumped up and managed to get his map back from the bird and looked at it real quick for any damage just in case. “What about looking for lost treasure, Jake? We can’t forget about that.” He asked while walking over. “It can wait. We always help mateys, especially Seth’s family. Even Captain Hook.” Jake answered. “How noble of you.” A voice came from overhead as everybody looked up and saw Captain Hook fly on down with his whirly hook while laughing a little.

“Captain Hook!” Jake and his crew said as Hook landed on the ground. “Captain!” Hook’s crew cheered. “Uncle Hook!” Seth yelled, running over and hugging Hook who shockingly didn’t even hug him back. “Thank our lucky stars, you’re safe and sound!” Smee said, happily chuckling. “We thought you were gone for good,” Bones replied. “Nice to see you up and running, sir. Where ya been all this time?” Sharky asked as Hook lightly pushed Seth away without hurting him. “Making new friends,” He answered. “That doesn’t sound right,” Smee commented. “Yeah. Friends wouldn’t catch you in a fishnet and whisk you away.” Sharky pointed out.

“Who are these new mateys?” Jake asked as suddenly laughter came from nearby followed by rocks falling as everyone looked up and spotting Undergear at the top in one of his mechanical crabs as he jumped down onto the stones below. “Undergear!” The crew gasped. “Uh, Dr.Undergear. Although, I’m not really a doctor, more of an obsessed tinkerer who works with...JUST CALL ME DOCTOR!” He yelled as a frozen whirlwind landed on another rock nearby. “And let us not forget...” Shiverjack revealed himself, freezing the rock below him while cackling.

“Shiverjack!” They yelled as Jake gasped and looked around, not seeing Savaa anywhere. ‘She’s camouflaged! I wouldn’t blame her. Savaa’s terrified of Shiverjack!’ Jake noted to himself. “Surprise!” Shiverjack said, shooting a blast of his ice as the kids ducked down and managed to miss the enchanted ice. Sharky, Bones, and Smee yelled and dodged another blast as Seth fell to the ground, covering his head before looking back up. “The cold chill upon your back is back!” The sorcerer cackled, “Now, allow me to introduce our illustrious leader.” The three looked over as green smoke appeared followed by a figure appearing amongst the three villains. “Hahaha! No one escapes...” Grim smirked.

“The Grim Buccaneer!” The kids gasped. “The baddest!” Cubby added. “What do you want, Grim?” Jake asked firmly, starting to approach the four as Grim did the same for Jake. “Those three keys, if you please.” He answered, holding his hand out. “So, you’re after the lost treasure of Captain Colossus, too, eh?” The boy asked, crossing his arms. “Clever lad. You see, although I was once Captain Colossus’ first mate, he disappeared before I could find out where he hid his fortune. That’s why I’ve been following that shifty she-bird of his, hoping that Wildfire would lead me to it,” Grim explained. “What?!” Izzy, Cubby, and Skully gasped as Wildfire squawked and flapped her wings.

Jake walked towards the rock, shocked at what Grim had just revealed. “You knew Captain Colossus?” He asked as Wildfire squawked as if to confirm everything. “What Savaa said was right! Like how every captain has a bird, maybe you knew Captain Colossus. Her hunch was correct!” Jake smiled. “So that’s how you knew where the keys were!” Cubby said. “What else do you know?” Skully asked the firebird. “That’s what we’d like to know, but first I want those keys, boy.” Grim said. “Let me handle the boy, Grim. He and I are old friends.” Hook replied, walking up to Grim.

“Captain Hook, how could you join up with Grim? You were once in the League of Pirate Captains. You were a hero.” Jake told him, moving away a little. “Hero schmero. Everybody knows I always go with a winner. And today, we winners shall win!” Hook said. “Uncle Hook...I can’t believe you...How could you do this?” Seth asked as Jake looked over, spotting the youngest of Hook’s crew starting to tear up while looking at Hook only for Grim to come into view of both boys. “The keys! Now!” Grim ordered, now having his crossbow out as Jake pulled his sword out quickly. “No way, Grim!” Jake answered, “Mateys, I’ll hold off Grim. You keep the rest of the villains on the run!” Jake ordered.

“Aye aye, Captain Jake!” Both crews responded before running off quickly. “Fellow Legionnaires, I shall deal with the lad. You each take care of the pests,” Grim ordered. “With pleasure.” Shiverjack replied coldly before leaping off quickly. “With clockwork precision.” Undergear said before heading down on his crab machine. “With style. Hook style, that is.” Hook grinned, attaching his whirly hook again before taking off into the air while laughing, leaving Grim and Jake in their own standoff. “Down you go.” He said before shooting a net from his crossbow as Jake leapt out of the way.

“Nope! Up I go!” Jake replied, jumping off another rock to get to the top of the rock behind him and crouched down while putting his sword away to check on the others before ducking at missing a blast of Shiverjack’s ice and starting to run from him. Izzy was running away from Undergear as the others were behind a rock. “Izzy, up here!” Cubby called quietly as his crewmate leapt out of the way and joined him, Smee and Bones quickly on the rocks, leaving Undergear to miss her. “Crankshaft!” He cursed. “Follow me, mates!” Cubby said, “I know how we can use rocks and coconuts to shake up that coconut.” Cubby told them, pointing at Shiverjack, who continued to try and go after Jake.

“Frostbite.” Shiverjack muttered angrily at the boy being able to dodge and climb up the rocks. “Lead the way, brave buccaneer.” Smee said as Cubby led the way for them quickly. Grim peeked out from behind some rocks before aiming his crossbow at Jake and shooting at him, only to catch a rock instead when Jake leapt out of the way. “Ah, the little captain’s not only clever, he’s as nimble as a cat.” Grim smirked. “Like me.” A voice said as he turned around only to be attacked by a blur of white and yellow, Savaa tumbling into him and attacking the Grim Buccaneer. “YOU LEAVE MY CAPTAIN ALONE!” She roared.

Jake dropped down from the net he was holding onto and looked over at Grim and Savaa as the Never-leopard roared, but kept her claws sheathed to show Grim a little bit of mercy. “You go, Savs.” He whispered. “Hi ho, yo ho!” Hook yelled from above as Jake looked up quickly, “Let us make this easy, Jake. Give me the keys and I shall be on me merry way.” He told him. “I got a better idea, Hook.” Jake replied before whistling, “Skully, Wildfire, how about giving Hook a little tailspin?” He called. “Just what I was thinking!” Skully answered as he and Wildfire flew straight at Hook.

The two started to spin and fly around Hook quickly as the captain yelled. “No! Stay back!” He started as the two birds grabbed his coat and started spinning him around, “Blasted birds!” He shouted dizzily as they let go, making Hook fly down to the ground as he managed to crash land into a tree. “Bust me barnacles.” He exclaimed before spotting Seth, who was hiding and waiting to attack, his sword in hand. “Psst. Seth. Give your uncle a hand.” Hook said as Seth looked up and glared at him. “Sorry, Captain Hook. I don’t help traitors.” The boy answered before running out of hiding.

“Gangway for Dr.Undergear!” The inventor shouted as his crab started picking up rocks, “Prepare to be turned into scrap metal!” He laughed, tossing the rocks as Jake gasped at the rock he was standing on being hit by the thrown rocks, seeing some of the rocks heading for Sharky, Bones and Smee. “Mates! Heads up!” The captain warned as the three dropped the coconuts they were carrying, ducking for cover before coming out when the coast was clear. “Oh, thank you, Captain Jake,” Smee said.

“Ah, the lad seems to care more about others than himself. Interesting choice. I can use that.” Grim grunted, pushing the Never-leopard’s head away from him and trying to get her off. “Don’t you dare!” She hissed at hearing him. “Then how about you be the first?” Grim asked before punching Savaa across the face, making her stumble off and hold her nose only to look up and yowling at being caught in a net shot from Grim’s crossbow. “That’ll hold you.” He smirked before whisking off and spotting Jake, hiding quickly. “Jake!” Savaa called, struggling in the net as Jake gasped and started climbing down the rocks at spotting his trapped crewmate, not realizing Grim was hiding.

“One, two, three steps to take, and get what I want from Captain-” Grim whispered, prepared to ambush the approaching Captain until he heard someone yell. “Jake, look out! It’s a trap!” Izzy warned as Jake stopped in time with Grim leaping out of hiding right in front of him. “Grim!” Jake gasped, stepping back quickly and then running as Grim disappeared and then reappeared behind him only for the boy to slide in between his legs to escape. Grim growled and leapt at Jake, missing the boy as he leapt onto a rock near them. “You’re quite the challenge, Captain, but you are no match for the Grim Buccaneer.” Grim said as Jake climbed onto a rock just above Grim.

Seth peeked from hiding and ran to Savaa before using his sword to cut her free quickly as she stood up and then embraced the boy. “Thanks.” She whispered. “Come on, this way.” Seth whispered as the pair ran off while Grim wasn’t watching as Savaa spotted Izzy on top of the rocks, climbing towards a log. “Hm, this hollow branch is like a tube and with my pixie dust...” She said. “Izzy! Undergear’s on the move!” Jake warned her as Izzy spotted Undergear approaching with his machine and carrying rock, obviously prepared to throw it. “I sure hope this works.” She said quietly while pouring pixie dust into the smaller tube of the branch, “Pixie dust blast away!” Izzy shouted before blowing the pixie dust out and catching Undergear with it.

Undergear yelled, startled at suddenly starting to float in the air. “What did you do, you little gear grinder?!” He asked furiously, “My crab tank is not a toy!” He shouted before yelling at falling out of the machine and on top of the rock it dropped below him as it began floating into the air. “No! My monstrous minion! Come back! Papa needs you!” Undergear yelled, running after his creation as it floated away. “Yo ho, way to go, Izzy!” Savaa and Seth shouted. “Awesome pixie dusting, Izz!” Jake called out to her. “Thanks, Captain Jake! Thanks guys!” Izzy saluted, giggling some.

“Shiverjack, ice those pirates!” Grim ordered as Shiverjack lunged straight down the rocks. “Now to shiver your bones!” He shouted as Savaa screeched a little and made a run for it. “Okay, mates. We loaded the teeter...” Cubby said from the edge of the rocks. “And here comes the totter!” Sharky looked up at Smee who jumped off the ledge. “COCONUTS AWAY!” The four of them shouted together, launching the coconuts as Shiverjack leapt up only to be bowled over by the hard fruits and lose his trident from his grip. “Snowblast!” He yelled as an icy explosion came from nearby.

“Good work, mates!” Jake called to his friends as Grim leapt up behind him. “Ha! I’m not through with you, lad!” Grim said as the two pulled out both of their weapons. “Well, I’m through with you!” Jake told him before hitting his crossbow and making the net fly up into the air above them where Hook was, who was still trying to free himself from the branch only to find himself caught in a net. “What?” He questioned before yelling at falling from the tree and on top of Grim as Hook looked up at Jake. “Boy, you’re no match for...agh...The Grim Buccaneer!” The pirate beneath Hook declared.

“Look again, chum. You’re no match for Captain Jake.” Skully said, flying just above Jake’s shoulder. “Don’t be so hard on him, Skully. He’s only doing what all villains do. Make bad choices.” Jake said, crossing his arms and looking down at the pair. “Not to worry, Grim, me old boy. I, the greatest, most glorious, and useful Captain Hook, shall-” Hook was cut off from him and Grim falling off the rock as they crashed onto the ground below. “So much for the Legion of Lamebrains,” Skully commented. “Something tells me that the Grim Buccaneer is not gonna give up on the lost treasure of Captain Colossus,” Jake said.

Wildfire started squawking and chirping as Jake looked up and watched her fly overhead of him and Skully. “What gives, Wildfire?” The boy asked, “Do you know where the treasure is hidden?” He questioned a little as the bird flew down quickly. “Then what are we waiting for? Let’s make with the wing flapping and fly!” Skully said. “Yo ho, let’s all go!” Jake replied before climbing down and rejoining the crews as they all made a run for it to return to the shore. Seth stopped before looking back a little and felt his throat tighten up, but pushed his emotions away and followed his family, friends and crew.

Jake slowed down when realizing Seth was last as he walked over, feeling like they were far enough away from the quarry before catching Seth when he collapsed onto his knees as Jake took off his hat and just pulled Seth into a tight hug, realizing he needed to let his friend get his emotions out. “I can’t believe he betrayed us!” Seth sobbed, burying his face into Jake’s shoulder. “I know, Seth. I know.” The captain whispered as the crews walked over, but still gave them space. “And he’s my uncle, my family, my hero! And he just ditched all of that for...for them!” The boy cried as Jake felt bad, knowing how close he was to Captain Hook.

Savaa walked over and sat down, placing her head on top of the boy’s back gently. “Shh...It’s okay. I know, it hurts. But there’s nothing we can do. We have to reach the lost treasure of Captain Colossus before the Legion of Pirate Dodos do.” She said as Seth slowly let go of Jake and looked up at both of them, wiping his face with his arm. “Y-You’re right. Let’s go. We can’t lose more ground.” He sniffled as Jake stood up and then helped Seth onto his feet gently before the crews headed for the beach together quickly.

The crew boarded the ship as it was close to sundown with Sharky, Bones, Smee and Seth joining them on the Mighty Colossus. The crews helped get the ship prepared to sail off with Wildfire and Skully leading the way for the ship. Jake steered the wheel as he glanced down towards Hook’s crew who sat down on some crates, comforting one another from the betrayal of their captain. “I feel so bad for them...Being betrayed and thrown away by their captain? I mean, I get that Hook was mean and bad and rude to them sometimes, but they didn’t deserve this.” Izzy said, standing with Cubby and Savaa.

“Why would Hook even want to join Grim, Undergear, and Shiverjack? Grim pirate-napped him when we first met that sneaky buccaneer, Undergear nearly caused Hook’s sub to sink with his mechanical sharks, and Shiverjack froze him and his crew!” Cubby explained. “That’s a good question that I wish I had an answer to. For now, they’re part of our crew. They need help. If Hook doesn’t go back to being their captain, they have potential. I think they could definitely join our crew.” Jake explained to them. “We’ll have to wait and see then. For now, let’s make them feel welcomed and comfortable. They suffered a major hit and loss today.” Savaa suggested.

Jake nodded in agreement. “Definitely.” He replied before looking back down as Seth was being held by Sharky and Bones while Smee held his hat in his hands. “I can’t believe that the captain joined that Legion of Villains,” Bones said. “Aye. And after all we’ve done for him, he gives us the boot without even telling us and joins Grim and his new so-called ‘friends’.” Sharky replied. “Did...Did we do something wrong? Did we fail Uncle Hook?” Seth asked tearfully, sniffling quietly as Smee walked over and placed a hand on Seth’s shoulder. “Now, now, Seth...I know deep down, I bet the real Captain Hook is inside of him. We didn’t fail him at all. We’re not just a crew, we’re a family. And a family’s love is stronger than anything, like it can melt a stone cold heart.” He explained.

Seth smiled a little bit before hugging Mr.Smee who hugged him back, chuckling slightly. “That’s our Sea Cub.” He said as Seth smiled, feeling better at knowing even though he lost Hook, he still had his parents and Uncle Smee. “Are we there yet?” Skully called out, flying after Wildfire and panting a little from becoming worn out, “Wherever there is. My wings are about to fall off.” He added as Wildfire chirped in response to them, leading the way towards two rocks in a certain shape. “Those rocks look like Captain Colossus’ symbols,” Skully said before flying down to the crew. “That’s a good sign. We’re heading in the right direction.” Jake replied as the crew came together on one of the decks while looking ahead.

“The right direction to what?” Cubby asked nervously before hearing Wildfire squawking which caught their attention, looking up at the firebird as Izzy then looked ahead. “To fog!” She answered as Smee adjusted his glasses. “Oh, my. It’s even thicker than my codfish scuttlebutt stew.”He commented as Seth gagged a little. “Yeah. Not pleasant.” He whispered.

On a ship closeby, a sonar dish moved around with Undergear directing it and watching the screen in front of him and moving the controls. “Aha. According to my Underpirate Radar Disc 2000, I finally determined the location of Captain Jake’s ship. Am I not a brilliant genius?” Undergear asked. “No, you are not.”Hook answered, “That blasted ship is right there! Just use your big eyes for a change.” He said while standing at the bow of the ship, the Mighty Colossus straight ahead of them as Grim jumped down beside him. “Ha! Colossus Island! The captain never would tell me where it was. That is where I-we...find his lost treasure.” Grim said, correcting himself quickly when Hook looked at him. “We is correct.” Hook said before smirking, “We as in me.” He whispered under his breath before chuckling a little.

The Mighty Colossus stopped as Savaa released the anchor, dropping it into the water below. “Okay. This is as close as the Mighty Colossus can get. We’ll have to continue the rest of the way on a dinghy.” She said, walking over to the others as Izzy and Bones were already getting one of the rowboats ready. “Okay, everybody in.” Jake said as Sharky picked up Seth and stepped inside with Smee following next. Cubby and Izzy climbed in after. Savaa walked over, poking her head over the railing. “You go on down. I’ll swim after ya.” She said. “You sure?” Jake asked. “Yep. I can swim, Captain Jake.” She nodded as Jake grabbed the rope and started to lower them down towards the water.

“Wait, how will she get into the-” Seth started before hearing a splash below, looking over the edge curiously and spotting the leopard surfacing and starting to swim towards the shore. “Never mind. That answered it.” The boy chuckled as Izzy and Cubby started rowing the boat after the leopard and Wildfire who flew above them, continuing to lead the way. Savaa climbed onto the dirt shore, shaking herself off like a dog before turning around as Smee tossed a rope, the leopard grabbing hold of it and pulling them in. “Yo ho, let’s go!” Jake said as the crew helped one another out of the dinghy. Izzy ran over and helped Savaa tie the boat to a tree before the crew raced down the path to stay on track with Wildfire.

Wildfire chirped and squawked all the way, staying in sight as her bright, glowing feathers helped guide them through the darkness. “This bird doesn’t stop!” Savaa said. “Yeah, you said it,” Skully replied tiredly. “Tree incoming!” Seth said. “Yo ho, let’s go!” Jake called out, leaping over the log as the others leapt over or went under the log while remaining behind Captain Jake, approaching a large structure as the crew looked up at it while slowing down a little at a door which Wildfire stopped as well, but stayed in the air. “Fantastic fortresses!” Sharky commented, looking at the door and the structure itself, “Now that there is what we in pirating business calls a pirate stronghold!” He said.

“What’s a stronghold?” Seth asked. “It’s a place that has been fortified so as to protect it against attacks.” Savaa answered as Jake surveyed the large door with his crewmates. “It sure looks strong!” Izzy said. “And I’m hoping it holds lots of treasure,” Skully added. “Aye aye!” The crew cheered a little as Savaa laughed a little at seeing Cubby jump up and down. “Golden goodies ahead!” Bones said, clapping his hands. “And we actually beat Captain Hook and those nasty evil-doers here too!” Seth added as Jake pulled out the keys that were attached to a ring and looked at each one. “Hmm. Which key opens the door?” He asked himself.

Izzy walked over and pointed at the keys. “I don’t think any of them do, Jake. There aren’t any keyholes or locks,” She pointed out. “Then how do we get inside?” Smee asked while walking over. “You don’t.” Someone answered as everyone gasped and looked over at shadows looming over the crew. Undergear wearing a tentacle machine that lifted him off the ground while the rest stood together, grinning at the group of pirates. “Not the Legion of Pirate Bad Guys again.” Cubby said, crossing his arms. “More precisely, the Legion of Pirate Villains. But no matter how you say it, it means...” Hook corrected before looking over at the leader of the group.

“You have no chance against the greatest of villains of Neverland.” Grim said before pulling out and snapping a whip in the air while Shiverjack held his trident that summoned a little bit of ice, Hook pulling out a sword, and Undergear waving a couple of his tentacles in the air. “With, of course, me being the most villainous of all.” Hook said as he began walking over until Grim used his whip to wrap Hook for a second and pull himself forward and get in front of Hook. “What in Neverland?!” Hook yelled as Jake got in front of his crew to protect them. “Boy, no more games. Give me the keys you hold on to so tightly.” Grim ordered.

Jake clenched his hands into fists, obviously not even remotely fazed by Grim’s words. “I said it once, and I’ll say it again. No way!” He repeated as Shiverjack ran up and floated into the air. “Maybe this will change your mind!” He laughed, “Freezesnap!” He commanded and blasted his ice behind Jake as the captain gasped. “Mateys, retreat!” He ordered as Cubby and Izzy jumped out of the way while Savaa scrambled the other way. “NOPE NOPE NOPE!” She shrieked. “Look out!” Smee, Sharky and Bones yelled as Bones and Sharky grabbed Seth and threw him out of the way as Shiverjack struck them with his enchanted ice, laughing maniacally at managing to get some of the crew.

Shiverjack floated over, smirking at the iced pirates. “Chills ‘em to the bone every time.” He said to himself as Hook gasped. “Me crew!” He exclaimed, “That seems a bit drastic.” Hook commented a little as Shiverjack came up to him. “Keep your eyes on the prize, Hook. Whatever it takes to get the treasure.” Shiverjack said. “The treasure. Yes.” Hook muttered as Seth groaned and pushed himself up with the help of Savaa, looking up as his eyes widened immediately at seeing Smee, Sharky and Bones in their frozen state. “NO! PAPAS! UNCLE SMEE!” He screamed in horror as Savaa used a paw to hold him back.

Jake ran over quickly to his frozen friends. “Mr.Smee! Sharky! Bones!”He called. “JAKE, LOOK OUT!” Savaa roared as Grim ambushed Jake, spinning him around briefly and making him dizzy as Jake got himself to stop and looked down at his belt and gasped at seeing the golden key missing. “No! Grim’s got the golden key!” He yelled. “Legionnaires, get those other keys!” Grim ordered as he and the others charged towards them. Savaa nudged Seth to his feet, forcing him to run before getting in front of Jake. “We gotta go, NOW!” She told him. “Come on, Jake!” Izzy said, running over and forcibly dragging the captain away. “We have to help them!” Jake protested.

Wildfire swooped past and grabbed Cubby as Savaa grabbed Seth by his shirt and pulled him away, following the others. “But the golden key, and Hook’s crew. We can’t leave without them!” Jake said. “Smee, Sharky and Bones aren’t going anywhere,” Skully told him. “But I am! Oh boy.” Cubby yelled as Wildfire flew past with the boy in her talons. She floated above a branch before pushing down on it as the crew yelled at falling into a hidden hole as Savaa and Wildfire soon followed with Cubby and Seth as once they were inside, the hole closed up quickly.

“Huh, where’d they go?” Undergear asked before suddenly tripping and collapsing on top of the three pirate villains as they grunted and cried out at getting crushed under one another. “Oh, scrap metal.” Undergear muttered.

The kids yelled at falling down a slide, a panel opening up and launching them into the middle of the inside of the structure as Savaa managed to land on her paws. “Wildfire. Don’t pull any more surprises, please!” She said as the kids sat up with Jake facepalming. “Oh, this is the worst. I can’t believe we left Hook’s crew behind,” He said. “And that greedy Grim got one of our keys,” Izzy added. “Now we might never find the treasure,”Skully replied. “Treasure’s the last thing on my mind, Skully.” Jake told him before gasping, “Wait, where’s Seth?” He asked, looking around as Savaa walked over and laid down by the boy, who laid face down with his arms in front of his face.

Jake got up and ran over as fast as he could, kneeling down and placing a hand on Seth’s back as the boy looked up and got onto his knees before breaking down in tears. “Oh Seth...I’m so sorry.” Jake whispered. “Why?! Why did this have to happen?! First Uncle Hook and now my whole family! And it’s all because of those stupid pirate villains!” Seth cried, not holding back as Savaa nuzzled his face. “Shiverjack’s ice isn’t forever. We’ll get them back, Seth. We will.” She told him softly as Seth turned around and hugged her neck tightly, burying his face into her fur. “Uh, guys. We’re not alone.” Cubby said before pointing up as they realized what they were in front of.

Cubby ran and hid behind Jake while Izzy moved closer to her friends a little while Jake looked up at what was casting the shadow over them. “Avast! It’s Captain Colossus!” He said. “It’s a statue of him battling the Strake.” Savaa added, amazed at the statue. “This is one time I wish the captain was still around. We could sure use his help.” Jake said while getting up along with the others as Savaa nudged Seth, managing to convince the boy without saying anything to get up to his feet. “If only...” Jake started until Wildfire flew over, cutting him off by grabbing hold of Jake’s arm and pulling him away, “Huh? Mates, she’s on the move again!” He told them before they followed after Wildfire together quickly.

Outside, the villainous pirates managed to get back up as Hook paced in front of the door in circles, clearly frustrated. “Fuss buckets! How could those tiny terrors just vanish?” He asked, throwing his arms up a little. “Isn’t it obvious? They found some way inside this stronghold,” Shiverjack pointed out. “And so shall we. I want those other two keys to the treasure. Search the area for a way in.” Grim ordered as the villains split up quickly. “Hold on there, Grim! Oh!” He growled before leaning against the wall, accidentally pushing down a lever as a hidden entrance appeared beneath him as Hook screamed and fell down into the shaft. Grim stopped and looked back, spotting the hole as he sprinted towards it quickly before grinning. “The way in!” He whispered before diving down just in time before the hatch closed.

Wildfire dragged Jake into a tunnel as the crew managed to luckily catch up to them. “Where we going?” Jake asked. “Uh, guys? I’ll just wait here to make sure that no one’s following...Whoa!” Cubby yelled when Savaa suddenly grabbed hold of his vest and pulled him in after the rest of the crew quickly without hesitation. “No, you are not, Little Cub.”She giggled playfully. Right when they vanished, Hook was shot out from a lifted up hatch as Grim leapt out after him quickly, the pair landing nearby. “Aha!” Hook yelled and jumped to his feet, “I, the glorious and highly gifted Captain Hook, found the way in! Chalk one up for me, old boy.” He declared.

“I have no time for such folly.” Grim replied to him. “Where you going, Wildfire? This place is full of ways to get lost!” Cubby’s voice echoed nearby. “I’d know that voice anywhere. It’s that coconut kid, Cubby. Follow me!” Hook said as Grim growled. “You follow me. I shall lead.” He told him as Hook turned around. “I found the way in, so I should lead! You follow!” Hook argued. “You’re right. You follow, I lead.” He said slyly and walked off. “Precisely.” Hook replied before stopping at realizing what just happened, “L-L-Lead? Follow? How did he...Blast!” He grumbled and ran after Grim quickly.

Wildfire led the crew through the structure as Savaa looked around, making sure that Seth stayed by her side. “Move it, mateys.” Jake said to his crew while trying to be fast in his walk a little, “Wildfire seems to know exactly where she’s going.” He added while leading the rest, not realizing that they were being followed by Grim and Hook as Hook’s boots squeaked with each step he took. “Quiet! We must be like shadows in the night.” Grim whispered before continuing on. “Shadows do not find treasure. Pirates do.” Hook replied. “Do as I say and I guarantee that ye shall reap your reward.” Grim told him. “My reward. Yes!” He chuckled a little.

Wildfire turned around a corner as she quickly opened a door, the crew running inside and sliding to a start and realizing they were inside some kind of room. Savaa came in last with Seth as she looked around the room a little. “Where did Wildfire go?” Jake asked. “I don’t know, but someone around here is a pirate pack rat,” Skully replied. “Skully, be nice.” Savaa giggled slightly as the kids split up to look around a little. “Well, whoever lives here explored all over the Never world.” Cubby said, looking at some maps. “You know, I remember seeing things like this in the journal Captain Colossus wrote,” Jake said as Seth gasped. “Wait a minute, you don’t think that...” He started as a hidden entrance opened in front of the four kids. “Someone’s here!” Cubby gasped.

Savaa quickly moved them behind her protectively, growling a little bit as Jake walked up to her side. “Easy, Savs...Easy.” He whispered as the kids watched a sickly and elderly man walk out of the hidden area, using a cane to walk with Wildfire on his shoulder and wearing a blue and golden pirate captain’s uniform before he began to cough slightly. “Whoa! This guy looks worse than a shipwreck.” Skully whispered, hiding behind Jake’s shoulder. “Maybe, but he looks kinda familiar,” Jake replied. “Intruders! How did you get in here?” The man asked. “Your bird, Wildfire. We followed her, and she let us in.” Skully answered as Wildfire flew off his shoulder and chirped at the man quietly.

“Wildfire, are these strangers here to help us?” He asked as Wildfire chirped in response. “We would do anything to help you,” Jake replied. “Why would you do that?” The man questioned. “Yeah, why would we do that?” Skully asked. “Because I know who this pirate is. You’re Captain Colossus!” Jake answered as the kids gasped in shock. “You are?!” They asked. “Of course I am. Who’d you think I was? The crocodile tooth fairy?” Colossus said while crossing his arms as Seth had to hold back his laugh at his joke, “But who are you?” He asked as Jake approached.

“I’m Jake, Captain Jake.” He introduced. “And he’s your biggest fan. Big time.” Skully added. “Even bigger than that.” Jake chuckled, “I know all about you and your adventures. You’re a legend.” He said as Colossus laughed a little. “I never get tired of hearing that.” The captain replied, “So, tell me. How do you know my mate Wildfire?” Captain Colossus asked curiously. “Well, we were sailing on the Mighty Colossus when-” Jake started only to be stopped quickly. “My ship! The last time I saw it, the Strake sank it. You found it?” Captain Colossus asked. “Well, it kinda found me.” Jake answered nervously, “You see, I used my Mighty Captain’s Sword to raise it up from the bottom of the Neversea. And...” He continued.

“You saved my ship? Miraculous! When I sent Wildfire to find it, I had no idea...Wait. Did you find the keys to my treasure too?” He asked Jake as the boy nodded. “Check it out.” He answered before pulling out the remainder of the keys, showing it to the captain nervously. “At last. I would’ve found them myself, but after my last battle, I came here to rest. Yet, I’ve been getting weaker day by day.” The captain explained before starting to cough and wheeze as Savaa ran over and leaned up against him to help Captain Colossus stay on his feet. “Well, that’s all in the past now. You have given me hope and another chance to be the captain I once was.” Colossus said, gently holding and cupping Jake’s hand, “I can never thank you enough.” He told him.

Jake took the keys out again and handed them to Captain Colossus who looked at them each. “Wait. There are only two keys. I need all three,” He said. “Well, you see...I...I...I...I lost one.” Jake admitted shamefully. “You did not!” Colossus gasped. “No, he didn’t!” Izzy said, running over and standing by her captain to defend him, getting in between them, “The Grim Buccaneer stole it!” She told him. “Grim! He’s still around? That coward once tried to steal my treasure and he left me alone to fight the serpent strake.” Colossus said. “Shocker! Grim is more grimmier than I thought he was.” Skully replied. “And now he’s the leader of the Legion of Pirate Villains - Shiverjack, Dr.Undergear, and-”

“My uncle and captain, Captain Hook...” Seth finished Jake’s sentence as he rubbed his arm as Colossus looked over at the boy, who was on the verge of tears again. “What’s wrong, young pirate?” Colossus asked. “This is Seth. Captain Hook’s nephew. After Hook joined sides with Grim, he abandoned and betrayed his crew and then when we got here, the Legion of Pirate Villains ambushed us and...Seth’s parents and other uncle got frozen by Shiverjack which Grim then took the key when Jake ran to check on the three and try to help them.” Izzy explained in a soft voice as Captain Colossus walked over and knelt down to the boy’s level.

Seth looked up at him before going wide eyed at realizing he was face to face with the legendary Captain Colossus. “It’s okay, young Seth. We will free your family.” He reassured as Seth smiled a little at his words. “Thank you...” He replied. “So the rat has his own rat pack.” Colossus started after looking back over at the crew before standing back up with the help of his cane, “Come with me.” He said before walking out of the room with the rest following after him quickly as they all stayed behind Captain Colossus, “We have to make sure my treasure is still safe.” He said, walking down a tunnel as Grim slowly appeared as the group walked past. “Yes! The old fool is still alive.” He whispered. “Why are you so happy about this Colossus fellow? He’s just going to get in the way. Let us strike now,” Hook replied. “No! Colossus will lead us straight to the lost treasure. Be patient.” Grim told him as Hook rolled his eyes. “Captain Hook is never patient.” He whispered before hurrying after Grim as they headed after the others quietly and stealthily.

“Whoo hoo! I can’t wait to see your treasure, Captain. I bet there’s gobs of gold.” Skully said, flying beside Captain Colossus. “Oh, I’d say my treasure is a bit more valuable than gold. King Neptune gave it to me so I could protect the Neversea. It has great magical power,” Captain Colossus explained. “What kind of magic?”Jake asked curiously. “It can turn anyone who opens the chest into the most powerful pirate ever. Its power magnifies the skills you already have.” He explained. “Whoa! That’s a game changer,” Skully commented. “So, if you’re smart, you’ll be smarter?” Izzy asked. “And if you run fast, you’ll run faster?” Cubby questioned. “And if you’re strong, you’ll be even stronger?” Jake finished off.

Colossus then turned around to face them. “Yes, and after I open the chest, I will be healed, my strength will return, and Captain Colossus will be back in action.” He said as Savaa smiled widely. “Wow! That would be amazing!” She replied. “So that’s why Grim wants the treasure. He’s after your power!” Jake gasped. “No way!” Izzy shook her head, “If he or his partners get it, they’ll be stronger, smarter, colder, sneakier!” She said as Savaa shuddered. “Oh, that would be one heck of a Neverland nightmare.” She said. “And they’re nightmares enough already!” Seth added.

“I cannot let this Legion of Pirate Villains find my treasure.” Colossus wheezed before tapping his cane on the ground and then used it to pull down a torch on the wall as a hatch opened up where Colossus tapped his cane as he climbed down the stairs quickly. “This way.” He said as the kids followed after him immediately. Savaa went to Colossus’ side and stayed beside him just in case while the kids went down first carefully. “Belay. We’re here.” Colossus told them when they made it to the bottom, entering a large area with a globe in the middle of the room and the walls covered in maps and pictures. Cubby walked over to the globe and grinned excitedly. “Look at this!” He said as Savaa walked over and smiled. “Wow. This is totally better than your map room, Cubby!” She laughed a little. “It is!” He replied as Seth walked around, looking at the room before hurrying to join the rest real quick.

Hook and Grim peeked out from behind the wall as Hook looked down at Grim. “Hold on, you deceitful teller of falsehoods. Did you know Colossus’ treasure was magical?” Hook whispered. “I may have heard something about its power. But I wanted to be certain it was real.” Grim answered. “Well, it is. Considering what I know now, it is time for a new plan.” The red-coated captain whispered. “What do you mean?” Grim asked. “If I am to help you any further, you must agree to split the treasure two ways - Just you and me.” Hook suggested. “Fine. Let us snare those other keys and the chest of power,” Grim said. “Gladly.” Hook smirked.

“Whoa! This map room is awesome! A globe showing every place in the Never World! Cool!” Cubby said as Captain Colossus walked over to him and the globe. “Oh, it’s cooler than you think.” Colossus said before pressing the symbol below the globe as it glowed red with the globe detaching from the stand and starting to untwist quickly, opening itself and revealing a large chest as it floated in place. “The lost treasure!” Everyone said as the chest slid down and landed in front of them as Wildfire landed on top of the chest. “Captain Jake, you and your mates must help me get the golden key back.” Colossus said before beginning to have another coughing fit as Savaa rushed to his side when he fell against the chest a little. “Captain Colossus!” She said. “I’m okay, but without all three keys, I cannot open the chest.” He coughed.

“Jake, we gotta move fast! I think the captain could use a dose of that magic right about now!” Skully explained as suddenly laughter filled the room as the kids gasped, recognizing whose it was. “GRIM!” Savaa roared before the kids saw several red balls roll out towards them. “Coconuts!” Cubby yelled. “Look out!” Seth shouted as the balls exploded into colorful smoke, blinding the crew and animals. “That laugh.” Colossus said before hearing running footsteps pass behind him. “I am everywhere. I am nowhere. I am here!” Grim’s voice cackled. “Grim. No!” Colossus shouted before starting to cough from the smoke as Savaa briefly managed to catch sight of the captain, who suddenly fell off the chest and onto the ground, staying beside him.

“Make way for the most devious crook, the great and powerful Captain Hook!” Hook laughed and shot a grappling hook, grabbing the chest and pulling it away as Grim tossed more smoke bombs which exploded and blinded the room further with more of the colorful smoke. “No way!” Izzy yelled. “Can’t see a thing!” Cubby shouted. “Jake, the chest! Grim’s got the chest!” Savaa roared when seeing the chest no longer there. “Savaa, stay with Colossus! I repeat - Stay where you are and stay with him!” Jake ordered as Colossus reached an arm out. “Grim! You must stop this!” Colossus coughed. “No one can stop the Grim Buccaneer for I am everywhere, and nowhere.” Grim laughed as Jake and his crew managed to find Colossus and Savaa when Wildfire used her wings to fan away the smoke a little.

“Coast is clear!” Skully said as the smoke began to finally clear up, “Hook and Schnook are gone.”He reported. “And so is my treasure!” Colossus said when realizing that the chest was gone as well, “I can’t let Grim get away with this. I must stop him.” He said before getting up, managing to walk a few steps only to start having another coughing attack and suddenly collapse once again. “Captain Colossus!” Everyone shouted and raced to his aid quickly as Savaa looked around only to find Seth gone. “Jake! We have a problem!” She gasped. “What is it?” He asked. “Seth’s gone!” She said, “He must have gone after Grim and Hook!” Izzy replied. “A brave young lad he is...” Colossus wheezed.

Back in the courtyard, Hook was following Grim while dragging the chest over to the statue, straining a little from the weight before tripping and falling backwards as the chest fell between his legs, smiling sheepishly at Grim. “My word. The magic power inside must be extraordinary. Now, where are those keys?” Hook asked. “You failed to snatch those other two keys?” Grim growled as Hook pushed the chest away. “Me? I hooked the chest! You should’ve gone after the keys!” Hook confronted. “No one tells the Grim Buccaneer what to do! No one!” Grim argued with the captain, the two nearly butting heads until hearing a familiar voice. “Freezesnap!” Shiverjack yelled as the entrance was frozen before the other two villains broke through the ice.

“You found it!” Undergear said. “Hold on. You two weren’t trying to cheat us out of the treasure, were ye?” Shiverjack asked while hopping down, “We had a deal!” He said as Hook pushed his hand down. “Oh, we had a deal, all right, but Grim wasn’t telling the whole story! The treasure inside this chest is magic that will turn an ordinary pirate, or an extraordinary pirate like meself, into the most powerful pirate ever!” Captain Hook explained, “Did I say too much?” He asked. “What?!” The other two gasped before the four of them began to argue amongst themselves about the chest. “Use that golden key you stole to open the chest!” Undergear said. “It is useless without the other two keys,” Grim told him.

“We’ll see about that. Freezesnap!” Shiverjack commanded before freezing the chest only for the ice to immediately break apart, “Frostbite!” He cursed. “Oh, please, let me try!” Undergear said, using his tentacles to pick up the chest and throw it at the wall only for it to bounce off and slide back over without a hint of damage. “Oh, scrap metal!” Undergear yelled as Hook swapped his hook for a crowbar and moved to the front of the chest. “Step aside, fumblers!” He ordered before attempting to pry open the chest only for the crowbar to come out, damaged yet the chest remained intact and locked shut. “Blast, barnacles, bilgewater, pooh!” He yelled in anger. “I told you. We need all three keys,” Grim repeated.

“This is an utter failure!” Undergear said. “Captain Hook does not believe in failure!” Hook yelled. “Neither do I!” The others said together. “Hey! Barnacle heads!” Someone yelled as the pirates looked over as Seth ran towards them, his sword in his hands, “Nobody messes with my family or my friends!” He yelled as Undergear moved forward and shot a tentacle out, grabbing the boy while making him drop his weapon and wrapping him up, lifting him into the air. “Well, who do we have here?” He questioned as Seth wriggled a little, trying to get his arms freed, “One of those nosy do-gooders!” Undergear said before tossing the boy towards the wall as Seth grunted at hitting against hard rock, falling onto the ground while groaning. “Ha! Now, let us return to figuring out a plan,” Grim said.

Back in the map room, the kids were still with Captain Colossus and trying to help him regain himself after getting the captain to sit down somewhere. “Captain, you need to rest.” Izzy told him as the elderly male looked down at the young girl. “But I was so close to getting back my strength. Without my treasure, I have nothing. A bilge rat has a better future than me,” He said. “Not so, Captain. My mates and I are here to help.” Jake told him as Izzy and Cubby joined their captain, looking at Colossus while Savaa stood beside Jake. “Well, if you young heroes are willing to risk everything for me, then together we can stop Grim and...” He paused from another coughing fit, “And we can...” He wheezed. “The cap’s never gonna make it.” Skully whispered. “Never say never!” Savaa and Izzy warned him simultaneously. “I already did,” He replied. “We need to get that last key.” Colossus told them.

Back up top, the villains gathered around the chest, continuing to argue with one another. “My genius mind knew I should never have trusted any of you low-brains.” Undergear insulted, “Grim’s plan would have worked if it wasn’t for this bumbling fool!” He said, pointing at Hook. “Once I open this chest, I will show you what this bumbling fool can do!” Hook replied as the four began arguing once again, never realizing the three kids poking out of the statue’s three mouths, and looking down at the arguing group. “Team, remember. We need to get the golden key and get Grim and his villains away from the treasure chest.” Jake whispered. “We’re off.” Cubby replied quietly.

“Jake! Over there!” Izzy gasped and pointed to their friend as Jake spotted Seth by the wall, dazed on the ground from most likely being thrown against the wall. “I see him. Alright. Operation Vanquish the Villains is a yo-ho go!” Jake said as Cubby and Izzy climbed down and ran to the steps to get to have a higher ground attack while Wildfire and Skully dove down, attacking and diverting the villains away from the chest. Cubby and Izzy grabbed a few small cannonballs, running to the edge of the banister before tossing them down towards the villains into a sheltered area. Jake leapt down as a hidden door opened up at the bottom of the statue, Savaa helping Captain Colossus stay on his feet as he held the keys in his hand.

“Belay, Captain! It’s way too dangerous for you to go out there.” Jake warned. “I tried to stop him, Jake,” Savaa said quietly. “I do not care.” Colossus coughed, “I refuse to let Grim get the best of me. I cannot lose to him,” He told Jake. “Savaa, stay with him. And make sure that he doesn’t get hurt.” Jake ordered as Savaa nodded. “Aye aye, Captain Jake.” She replied. “Ha! The fool has no chance of stopping me this time. Hook, you take care on your friend Jake. I will crush Colossus. And together, we’ll share the power of the chest,” Grim said. “Grim, for a villain, you are quite...villainous. I like it,” Hook replied.

“Captain, careful. It’s not safe.” Jake warned as Savaa stayed by the two captains as best as she could. “I will never yield to Grim! Never!” Colossus replied before the three heard Grim laugh, looking over to see Hook and Grim with their swords ready. “Until today.” Grim replied before taking out a smoke bomb and tossing it at Savaa, hitting the leopard dead on the face as it exploded in her eyes, making her screech in pain and terror at the smoke in her eyes and nose, forced to back away from the two captains. “En garde!” Hook yelled as the two villains attacked once the leopard was out of the way.

Undergear and Shiverjack leapt out to join the fight immediately, the sorcerer aiming his trident. “Freezesnap!” He ordered only to be forced back from the cannonballs raining down on them. “Crankshaft!” Undergear yelled as Seth groaned and sat up onto his hands and knees, taking a deep breath before standing up and sprinting into the battlefield, sliding on the dirt and grabbing his sword and then rolling into one of the other archways for cover. Shiverjack and Undergear looked at each other before smirking and sneaking off quickly.

Jake lunged forward, sword clashing with sword as he and Hook fought with their weapons. “Puny pirate pipsqueak!” Hook yelled. “Right back atcha, Hook!” Jake replied as Colossus and Grim faced each other nearby. “I thought I’d never see you again, Grim. And now that you’re here, give me back my golden key. Return my treasure and leave.” Colossus ordered, pointing the handle of his cane at the buccaneer who swiftly pulled out his sword. “Your time has run out, and mine is just beginning. I want the power I deserve.” Grim said, lifting up the golden key. “Grim. I once trusted you like...a son.” Colossus revealed as Grim looked at him, surprised a little.

“Son? I didn’t know you felt that way. But...” Grim stammered, looking at the key. “Grim, please! Just listen to him!” Savaa called through the haze of her eyes from being blinded by the smoke bomb. Grim growled and raised his sword. “Oh! No more words!” He yelled before lunging and swiftly taking the keys from him as the captain collapsed from the sudden attack, looking at his hand, and realizing the keys were gone. “No! The keys!” He said. “Soon, the power will be mine, too!” Grim told him as Savaa roared and ran for him only to fall down at feeling something catch her tail and force her down, looking back and finding her tail frozen to the ground by Shiverjack. “No!” She roared, looking at Colossus and Grim.

“Captain Colossus!!” Jake gasped and took a step only for Hook to block his path with his sword, forcing his attention back on him. “Pay attention, lad. You can no more take care of that old man than you can take care of yourself.” Hook told him. “I can’t believe what you’re doing, Captain Hook. Teaming up with Grim?” Jake questioned him. “It was a choice I needed to make, for treasure, you know.” Hook answered. “But you let your own crew get frozen!” Jake confronted. “It wasn’t my fault. They got in the way.” Hook said as Jake ran to the stairs and turned around, both clashing their swords once again. “You didn’t help them at all!” Jake said. “I would have, but...” Hook stammered.

“Heroes have to make hard choices,” Jake told him. “I am not a hero! I’m a villain!” Hook said before bringing his sword down as Jake jumped out of the way, Hook turning and going after him, “The number one villain of Neverland!” He added. “But you could be a hero, if you don’t let Grim get what he wants.” Jake warned. “But I’m getting what I want too! The power of the lost treasure!” Hook said. “No, you’re not! Open your eyes!” Jake yelled at him.

“The crystal key.” Grim grinned as he inserted the first key, turning it as it briefly glowed. “No!” Colossus yelled.

Jake gasped before turning around. “If you won’t stop Grim, I will!” He said as Hook shoved an arm in front of him. “Not so fast, boy!” He ordered as Jake slammed his sword against Hook’s. “Don’t you see?! Grim isn’t gonna share a thing with you!” He strained a little. “But without me, he wouldn’t have gotten this close to the treasure.” Hook replied, both swords hitting one another once again. “Exactly! He’s totally tricking you!” Jake pointed out to him.

“The golden key!” Grim said as he inserted the second key, a golden glow emitting from the chest briefly, “One more key and I will have the power I need to rule Neverland!” He told the fallen captain evilly.

“If we don’t stop Grim, we’ll all be in danger. You, your crew, everyone on Neverland!” Jake said as Hook gasped at realizing what Jake finally was getting at. “Red Jessica. Cuddly Bear...me mum?!” He questioned before biting his hook in worry. “Captain Hook, it’s up to you. Be the hero I know you are, be the hero Seth knows you are! Help us stop Grim!” The boy told him as Hook looked at Grim only to hear someone scream, quickly looking over.

“Got you now, you scrawny screw.” Undergear laughed as he and Shiverjack approached the cornered Seth, who backed up against a corner until he felt his back hit the wall. “Nowhere to run now.” Shiverjack laughed as Seth slipped down onto the ground, starting to cry from the feeling of overwhelming fear. “Uncle Hook...” He cried a little. “Nobody can save you now, boy. Not even your family or your friends. Freeze-” Shiverjack was cut off from a sword flying past and nearly hitting Shiverjack in the nose, both villains surprised and looked over as Hook then was putting a grappling hook on his hand. “LEAVE. ME. NEPHEW. ALONE!” Hook yelled at the two as Seth took the distraction to get up and run to safety.

“The iron key!” Grim laughed as he knelt down, prepared to insert the next key, “One more turn.” He said, inserting the last key only for the chest to be pulled away from him at the last second. “What in Neverland?!” He gasped. “No buccaneer, Grim or otherwise, shall ever get the jump on Captain Hook! That is why I am the number one villain of Neverland!” Hook declared. “But a true villain would never choose to team up with that boy.” Grim said, pointing at Jake who only grinned. “I am no mere villain. I am a villainous hero!” Hook corrected, pulling out his cannon hook and aiming for Grim.

“And soon to be less than zero. Shiverjack! Undergear! Stop Hook! Crush Jake! Destroy them all!” Grim ordered as Undergear and Shiverjack raced over immediately into the attack as Seth ran to Savaa and brought his sword down onto the ice trapping her tail as the Never-leopard roared, racing straight into battle and attacking Undergear’s tentacles first, swiping at them and snarling. “You won’t lay a hand or tentacle on any of my crewmates!” She roared. Hook ducked to avoid a hit of ice as he then stood back up and smirked. “Gangway for me, the most villainous evil good guy ever!” Hook said and began to shoot small cannonballs at the other villains.

Jake used his sword to deflect Shiverjack’s ice, the three animals attacking Undergear and his tentacles with Izzy and Cubby throwing the bigger cannonballs at the villains while Seth ran and helped protect Colossus from any hits. “Glad to have you back aboard, Captain.” Izzy said from the upper balcony as Hook took off his hat. “Why thank ye, missy.” He replied before returning his focus, “Now, let us band together and push these villains back.” He added as Jake leapt forward, defending Seth and Colossus from Shiverjack’s ice blasts. “Captain,”Jake said.

“Stop Colossus!” Grim ordered as Seth gasped, looking back and then focusing back on Colossus. “Let us help you.” Seth said as he and Jake worked together to help Colossus turn the final key in the chest’s keyhole as it finally opened, the chest glowing brightly as a blinding light shot out and pushed the pirates except Colossus all back as the light shot into the air. Izzy and Cubby ran down the steps and helped Jake up while Savaa helped Seth up, everyone watching as small bits of light swirled around the standing Colossus who soon was engulfed in the very light, raising his arms and changing from his elderly state into a stronger look, the ill look in his eyes vanishing as his cane soon changed into a golden sword. The light dimmed down as there stood the new and empowered Captain Colossus.

“Now this is what I’m talking about! Captain Colossus is back!” He said before looking at the kids, “Thank you, Captain Jake. You too, Captain Hook.” He started before leaping over and helping Hook back up in a single lift of the arm, “For as villain, you’re a pretty good hero.” He commented. “And you, sir, are an excellent judge of character,” Hook said. “Look out!” Seth yelled. “Freezesnap!” Shiverjack shouted, blasting his ice as the two managed to get out of the way quickly as Captain Colossus jumped forward. “Just try that again, iceman.” The captain challenged. “Freezesnap!” Shiverjack yelled and summoned another blast of ice as Captain Colossus deflected it with ease using his sword as Shiverjack was launched back against the statue and into one of the mouths.

“Looks like you’re out in the cold, Shiverjack.” Colossus said before getting under Undergear who was looking around a little, “Now it’s time to fix your clock, doc.”He said as Undergear looked down, “You’ve got too many loose screws.” He added before cutting the metallic tentacles and causing the man to fall to the ground. “Oh sprocket.” He grumbled as Colossus picked him up. “Your warranty just ran out.” He said before tossing him into one of the other two statues’ mouths.

“Oh yeah! Go Captain! Oh yeah! Go Captain! Wahoo!” Savaa and Skully cheered as Colossus lastly walked over to Grim. “Thank you, Grim. Thanks for showing us what being a true hero is all about.” Colossus said, pointing his sword at his old friend, “Making all the right choices.” He finished as Grim attempted to run only to be grabbed by the captain by his cape before spinning him in the air. “Grim Buccaneer, away!” He yelled, releasing his cape as Grim landed with his cape caught by the last open mouth of the statue with the other two. “This is all your fault.” Undergear grumbled. “Silence.” Grim growled.

Colossus laughed in victory. “The Legion of Pirate Villains is no more.” He announced as everybody cheered at the victory. “You did it, Captain Colossus!” Jake said. “We did it, Captain Jake.”Colossus corrected. “Let us all remember how, thanks to me, I saved the day. You’re all perfectly welcome to thank me.” Hook said while walking over to them. “Thanks, Captain Hook.” The group replied. “Never thought I’d hear myself saying that,” Skully said. “Same.” Savaa giggled.

“Uncle Hook?” The boy spoke up as Hook looked over and smiled at Seth who stood slightly frozen in his place. “Seth. Oh Seth, me boy!” Hook smiled as Seth bit his lip and bolted over to him, dropping his sword before jumping onto Hook who knelt down and caught his nephew in a tight hug. “Uncle Hook!” Seth sobbed in relief, holding onto his uncle as tightly as he could while Hook sat on his knees and comforting his nephew. “Oh Seth, I promise. I won’t ever do that again! Not to you, not to me crew!” Hook said. “Captain! Seth! Thank goodness, you’re all right!” Another voice yelled as Hook gasped and looked up, spotting Smee, Sharky, and Bones who were melted from their earlier icy forms.

“Papas!” Seth cried. “Seth! Captain!” They yelled as the crew ran over, quickly embracing each other as Seth hugged his parents, happy to be reunited with his family and crew once again. “Can you ever forgive me, crew? I should never have left you frozen, I never should have betrayed or abandoned you.” Hook said to his crew. “Oh, not to worry. We’re all thawing out now. Although, I think Seth here will need help here recovering from all of this. He survived all of this craziness with Captain Jake and his crew.” Smee said as Hook smiled. “Help is what this hero is all about.” He answered as Seth smiled and hugged his uncle again. “I knew you were a hero.” He whispered tearfully.

“What an awesome day.” Jake said, watching the reunion before turning back to Colossus and his crew, “And to think, it all started with the fiery bird landing on the Mighty Colossus!” Jake said as Wildfire chirped while standing on Colossus’ shoulder proudly. “You know, Captain Jake, it’s been a long time since I last saw my ship. You think you could give me a little spin for old times’ sake?” Colossus asked. “You kidding? It’s still your ship,” Jake replied. “It’s your ship now. Consider it your reward for saving me.” The captain told him.

“That’s what we heroes do.” Jake chuckled as he and Colossus shared a fist bump. “You’re a chip off the old block, mate.” Colossus said as the crew grinned. “Yo ho, way to go!” They cheered together as Savaa looked at Colossus. “Captain? May I...give you a hug?” She asked as he laughed. “Go right ahead, Savaa.” He said as Wildfire flew off right when Savaa pounced up and embraced him, glad that his new strength was able to keep both of them up. “Now, who’s ready to go home?” Jake asked as the crew nodded in agreement before leaving the stronghold together to head on back to the Mighty Colossus while leaving the villains still arguing over whose fault it was for everything.
