JATNP - Captain Hook's Last Stand (REWRITE)

Summary:

When Captain Hook turns Peter Pan to stone, Captain Jake and his crew get help from Wendy, John and Michael to find the items needed to rescue their petrified friend.

Notes:

The reason I have this rated as Teen Audiences and up is because of the fact that throughout the episode, Hook is technically trying to murder the kids different ways. I am simply following AO3 guidelines and making sure that this fanfic has proper warnings.

Work Text:

On a beach clearing on Neverland, a crew of pirates were setting up an area of festivities and decorations as a young boy was blowing up balloons and then tying them to barrels with the help of an older boy dressed in navy blue while a bird was perched on a banner. “Crackers. This is going to be one swell day!” The bird said before flying down and perching onto a barrel. “I know. Izzy should be here with our friends soon. Speaking of friends, where’s Savaa?” The captain asked. “Doing another survey of the area. She doesn’t want Hook or any other sneaky snooks to ruin today probably.” Skully chuckled.

“Look!” Cubby called, pausing on carrying a spare barrel when hearing giggles and laughter at spotting his crewmate flying on towards them with their London friends in tow as Jake, Cubby and Skully hurried over to greet them. “Ahoy mateys!” Izzy greeted, landing by the boys followed by Wendy, John, and Micheal. “Ahoy, Iz! Ahoy, Wendy. Hi John!” Jake greeted the siblings. “Ahoy, mateys!” Wendy greeted. “Greetings, mates!” John waved to them as Micheal was the last to land. “Hiya, Micheal!” Cubby said. “Hello, everybody.” Micheal replied, the three Darling siblings dressed up in their own pirate outfits for the celebration.

“The gang’s all here, right on time.” Skully said, “More or less.” He chuckled. “Absolutely!” John replied, pulling out his pocket watch real quick. “Wendy, John, Micheal!” A voice greeted the kids as a feline stepped out of the bushes and hurried over. “Savaa!” They cheered, running over and hugging the Never-leopard quickly, who nuzzled each of them before lightly pulling back and walking over to Jake. “I’ve checked the area more than I can count and there’s not a single sight of trouble.” Savaa reported as Jake rubbed her head. “Thanks, Savs.” He said. “Is Peter here yet?” She asked. “Not yet,” Jake answered. “Peter did say he was finally returning from the Land Beyond the Neversea, and I for one cannot wait to hear his tales,” John said. “I bet he had lots of adventures,” Cubby replied. “They’re always awesome, just like him!” Jake added, not knowing of a couple of spying eyes inside the bushes watching them.

“Aye, aye!” The four pirates whispered in agreement to the boy’s comment before looking at the gathered group. “That plucky Peter is simply incredible. He’s so magical.” Smee whispered. “So adventurous,” Sharky said, “So...” He continued. “Awesome!” The four of them said in unison. “I just wish we could’ve been invited.” Seth said, looking back at them as he sighed softly before hearing Smee and Bones suddenly be pulled back as Seth and Sharky tensed up and looked at each other. “Uh oh.” They whispered.

Captain Hook held up his two crewmates, looking at them firmly. “Awesome, my foot.” Hook whispered, dropping the two of them, “We’re not here so you ninny numskulls can praise that pathetic Pan.” He scolded quietly as Sharky and Seth walked over to join them, “We’re here to plunder his treasures from across the Never Sea.” Hook explained. “Sorry, captain, but it’s not often that Peter visits Neverland.” Smee pointed out as Seth glanced up and gasped, tugging on Sharky’s vest. “Papa Sharky! Papa Bones!” He whispered, pointing to the sky as Sharky gasped. “And here he comes now!” He said.

The familiar laughter of the redheaded boy filled the air while flying over the treetops and headed straight down for the clearing as the kids looked up immediately. “Peter!” They greeted and ran over as Peter Pan landed on the ground. “Ahoy, Peter! Hello, Tinkerbell!” The group greeted in unison before moving out of the way as Savaa pounced and tackled Peter in a hug, both of them tumbling against the ground. “Hahaha!” Peter laughed, sitting up and rubbing Savaa’s muzzle. “Jolly good to see you.” John said. “We missed you,” Micheal grinned as Savaa let Peter stand back up.

“And we missed all of you too.”.Peter said, dusting himself off as Tinkerbell nodded eagerly in agreement. “Gather around, mates. Check out all of the wild things I found.” The boy said, pulling out a bag before reaching into it, “From the island of Seedmore, I came across this swashbuckling plant.” Peter said, pulling out a potted plant which pulled out its own sword and swung it around, “The Buccaneer Bounder.” He introduced. “Whoa!” The crew exclaimed, looking at the plant.

“Oh wow.” Smee whispered. “Yowza!” Sharky exclaimed. “Awesome! Reminds me of that plant we had that tangled up the ship, remember?” Seth whispered as Hook looked at the boy and rolled his eyes. “Yes, that was not pleasant.” He replied quietly, “What nonsense.” He mumbled.

“So what else you got in that bag of tricks, Peter?” Skully asked. “Well, first real quick, I got this vine ball for Savaa. It’s like a yarn ball, but made out of vines. Here, Savs!” Peter called out before tossing it as Savaa bolted across the sand. “MINE!” She said, rolling around in the sand and playing with the ball like a kitten, “That oughta keep her busy. Now, I have something else. Something very magical.” Peter said, “My good friend, King Finley, gave me this to hide in a safe place.” He explained, pulling out a hand-sized rock and showing it to the others, “The Doom Stone.” He told them before kneeling down. “It has very powerful magic. It can turn anything into stone.” He explained as the group gathered, some crouching or kneeling down to get a better look at it. “Cool.” They whispered in awe.

“Glory be.” Hook whispered, moving closer to try and get a better look, “What an intriguing treasure.” He said before yelling at feeling the tree he was leaning onto snap back and throw him into the bushes as Seth ran over and helped his uncle up. “Are you okay, Uncle Hook?” He asked. “Yes, yes, I’m fine.” Hook answered.

“Peter, can I try out the Doom Stone?” Jake asked, walking up a little as Peter quickly pulled it out of reach quickly, standing up. “Not in a Neverland minute! The more you use its dark magic, the more you will turn to stone, starting with your heart.” Peter explained, startling the kids a little. “Oh, thank Neverland you didn’t let Jake touch that thing.” Savaa said, standing with the others with her new toy between her paws. “My heart?” Jake asked. “A tragedy of the utmost.” John replied. “Indeed. People with stone hearts are evil to the core.” Wendy said.

“That’s why I need to hide it, so it doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.” Peter said, putting the Doom Stone back into his bag. “Or Hook’s.” Micheal noted, waving his teddy bear’s arm in imitation. “No way. If Captain Hook ever stole it, he could turn Neverland into a bunch of rocks, and himself, too!” Izzy commented. “Oh, that old codfish is already full of rocks...in his head.” Peter said to the girl, resulting in everyone laughing a little.

Smee started laughing a little as well. “That be a good one.” He said as the others started laughing a little. “Belay that belly laughing!” Hook whispered. “Hey! My uncle does NOT have rocks in his head.” Seth said, being the only one who didn’t laugh. “Thank you, Seth. With that magic pebble, I could turn Pan into stone. Then the loutish lad in green would plague me no more.” Hook told them as Seth went pale immediately. ‘Okay. Maybe my uncle DOES have rocks in his head.’ Seth thought to himself. “Follow me, mates, to my hideout.” Peter said, leading the group away into the bushes with Hook and his crew watching in secret. “Come on, crew. After them!” Hook whispered as the crew took off after them.

John ran over to the tree and used his umbrella to pull the same rope as last time, opening the entrances as the kids each took a hole and heading inside as once the last person was in, the holes closed up as Peter walked into the main area. “Check out my secret hiding spot.” He told them while standing by his chair while everyone took a seat or stood somewhere near him. “Peter, are you sure the Doom Stone will be safe here?” Cubby asked nervously. “Trust me, Cubby. There’s no way anyone, but us, can get inside here.” Peter reassured, sitting down in his chair while Savaa swung in her hammock. “And you know Peter. He keeps his word,” Savaa added.

Everyone tensed up at hearing someone yelling as they turned their heads to one of the holes, Hook popping out with a rope around his waist as he hopped across the ground from the impact and stopping in the middle of the room. “Captain Hook!” They gasped as Hook fixed his hat real quick. “Why do you always act so surprised to see me? I am never far behind. HA!” He chuckled, throwing a grabber hook at Pan and snagging the Doom Stone out of his hands as Peter yelled from being startled by Hook’s hook taking the magical item. Everyone got up as Hook tugged on the rope that immediately pulled him away when the group tried to go for him to get the stone back. “AFTER THAT THIEF!” Savaa roared, racing for the hole in a split second.

Hook popped out at the top as Seth moved the crank out of the way quickly as the captain landed on the ground with the Doom Stone still in his grasp. “Victory! I have the magic rock!” He said, not noticing Peter flying out of the tree. “Hook, you’ve gotta be careful with that thing. If you use the Doom Stone, the stone’s dark magic will turn your heart into stone, and the rest of you, too!” Peter repeated his warning from earlier to the captain as the rest of the group came out and stood by just in case. “Oh, balderdash! You’re only trying to trick me into giving it back to you!” Hook replied.

“No, captain, it’s true.” Smee said in hopes of getting his captain to think better. “How do I make this magic stone...” Hook started shaking it about before spotting the writing on the back of the Doom Stone, “What’s this?” He asked as Peter shook his head. “No, Hook. Don’t say it!” He yelled at him. “Petrify!” Hook read the words as a purple ray shot out from the rock, knocking Hook back a little. “Hook, no-!” Peter was cut off from the stone’s ray hitting him as his entire body was turned to stone without a warning.

“PETER!” The whole group yelled as Savaa stood frozen where she was at with her eyes widening in horror with Jake placing a hand on her just to try and stabilize himself from the shock and horror of seeing Peter turned to stone. “Heavens no! Poor Peter.” Wendy exclaimed. “It cannot be.” John said as Tink was investigating the stone statue of their beloved friend. “Is he gone forever?” Micheal asked as that question finally snapped Savaa out of her trance, tears freely falling from her eyes. “PETER, NO!” She screamed.

“Pantastic!” Hook laughed, holding the Doom Stone in his hand as Seth covered his mouth, taking a step back. “Uncle Hook, what have you done?!” He asked. “Pan can bother me no more.” The captain answered before the rock emitted small lightning sparks around his hand as his hook and forearm suddenly turned to stone. “Oh, dear. Captain, your hook, it’s turned to stone!” Smee exclaimed as suddenly the stone turned Hook’s entire outfit into nothing, but a black coat and hat, his skin turning pale just as well. “What?” Hook muttered before yelling at seeing his sudden new look.

“C-C-Coconuts!” Cubby exclaimed as Hook’s expression of shock turned into a smile as he chuckled. “Aha! I feel more powerful than ever! Rock solid, powerful!” Hook said, jumping forward and looking at the statue of Peter Pan, “So who’s the codfish now, Pan? What’s that? No more jokes left in you? Catfish got your tongue?” The captain mocked as the whole group of kids had to hold back Savaa when she started growling at the captain’s mockery. “Captain, you sound different.” Smee said nervously. “Dangerous, deadly,” Sharky commented. “And extra evil-like,” Bones said. “It’s like Peter said, sir. If you use the Doom Stone, it will turn your heart into stone, and it did.” Smee explained.

Hook looked at his stone hook and then at the rest of himself before starting to laugh evilly. “At last, I’ve defeated Peter Pan!” He said as Seth took a few steps back with Sharky and Bones holding their son close protectively. “At last, I’ve defeated Peter Pan. I’m free to be evil once more. No longer his shadow hangs over my plans, I’ve defeated Peter Pan.” Hook began to sing, “I don’t mind that I find my hook is now made out of stone. Such a small price to pay to have Neverland all for my own! But what say you boy, do you want to crow? It’s difficult to do as a statue, I know.” He laughed, “At last, I’ve defeated Peter Pan. I’m free to be evil once more! No longer his shadow hangs over my plans, ‘cause I’ve cheated, I’ve de-seated, I’ve defeated Peter Pan!” Hook sang, ending in evil laughter.

Wendy looked at the statue of her close friend, looking back at the others. “Poor Peter. What can we do?” Wendy asked. “We’ve gotta hide Peter until we can find a way to reverse the spell over him.”Jake whispered to everyone as Izzy looked at her pouch of pixie dust and then looked back up as Sharky and Bones walked over to the tree with a rope. “Men, hoist that hunk of stone and take it to the Jolly Roger.” Captain Hook ordered, “Then I shall never lose sight of it.” He said. “Aye, aye, captain.” Sharky and Bones replied skeptically as Savaa roared, knocking the pair away from the tree and growling at them. “YOU’RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE WITH HIM, YOU SEA RATS!” She roared angrily as Izzy sprinkled pixie dust on herself and then flew over to the statue, sprinkling it with pixie dust as well.

“Pixie dust and Peter Pan away!” Izzy said before guiding the statue away with John and Jake staying back with Savaa to make sure that the crew didn’t follow them. “Blasted Neverland!” Hook exclaimed. “Come on, crew!” Jake shouted as Savaa turned and looked at Hook and his crew with teeth bared before sprinting after the others immediately. “Give me back my statue or I shall turn you all into puny petrified pebbles!” Captain Hook threatened before Tinkerbell sprinkled pixie dust on his nose and flew off, making the captain sneeze as the fairy flew off immediately, “And one puny petrified pixie. Petrify!” He shouted, luckily missing Tinkerbell and only striking a tree branch which broke off from the weight of turning to stone as the fairy flew after the others quickly.

“Blast!” He exclaimed before gasping at the feeling of his other and entire arm suddenly turning to stone as he began laughing darkly and looking back towards where the group had fled. “Seth, you gotta run.” Bones whispered. “What?” Seth asked. “Ye need to run away and get away from the captain. It ain’t safe to be around Captain Hook. Run and help the kiddies find a way to reverse this to save not only Peter, but Hook too. The more he uses that stone, the more he turns to stone too.” Sharky explained quietly. “But what about you?” Seth asked fearfully. “We’ll be okay, Sethy.” Bones reassured him as the two parents hugged Seth tightly before letting him go as the moment they did, Seth booked it for the bushes and vanished into the foliage.

Back with the crew, Izzy flew above the others with one hand on the statue of Peter to guide it with the pixie dust while looking down at the others. “Where we going, Captain Jake?” Micheal asked, riding on the back of Cubby’s shoulders. “The Tiki Tree Forest. Our friends there will help us protect Peter.” Jake explained. “Jolly good plan.” John complimented.

Not far back, Captain Hook was slowly marching his way up the path with the rest of the crew behind him. “Captain, might I suggest we stop chasing the sea pups? You’ve already turned Peter into stone. Isn’t that enough?” Smee asked. “Never! Knowing Captain Jake, they will try to reverse the spell over Pan and I refuse to let that happen.” Hook answered, jumping onto a rock before looking at his crew, “Wait a minute, where’s Seth?” He asked as Sharky and Bones pretended to look around. “Oh dear, he must have run off,” Sharky said. “Probably from being frightened at seeing all of this go down. He still has trouble with being brave after what happened when you teamed up with Grim, Shiverjack and Undergear.” Smee explained.

“Bah, never mind.” Hook said before looking around and gasping, “Aha! There be the spoilers now!” He called out, spotting the group fleeing for the river as he then swung his arm around. “Petrify!” He yelled as the Doom Stone blasted a ray as Jake looked back and gasped. “Duck and dive!” He warned as everyone hit the deck, causing a tree in front of them to be struck and causing it to fall. “Shiver me timbers!” Izzy yelled as the tree struck another tree near it, catching it before it could fall directly in their path. “Blast!” Hook yelled as the rest of the arm with his stone hook turned into stone, “Forward, men! Keep moving!” He ordered before leaping down after his crew.

“This way, mates! Grab a leaf! Full speed ahead!” Jake said as each of the kids grabbed a leaf and jumped into the river, catching the current quickly as Savaa looked back and then dove into the river, causing a small wave to push the kids forward as she swam after them. “Excellent.” He grinned while stopping at the shore of the river, “The swabs are just where I want them. Petrify!” He yelled once again, aiming the stone as the ray was sent towards them. “Incoming!” Savaa warned before diving under to duck from the Doom Stone’s ray as it managed to hit the leaves below the kids. “Bumbling coconuts!” Cubby yelled. “Mates, abandon ship! I mean leaf!” Jake yelled as he grabbed a vine, followed by the others as they swung off onto the nearby shore.

Savaa surfaced and climbed onto the land, shaking herself off while panting a little. “We gotta keep moving.” She said before running forward to stay with Izzy, who remained in the air from her pixie dust along with Peter’s statue. “Smashing.” John said, fixing his hat and hurrying after the rest as they headed into the trees. “Bye!” Jake called to Hook before following the others as Hook growled. “Barnacles!” He yelled before watching his foot suddenly turn into stone next. “Captain, your boot! It’s stone!” Smee exclaimed. “Stop fussing, Smee! One stone boot will not stop me from getting what I want.” He said before exclaiming at suddenly feeling his other foot turn to stone. “How about two stone boots?” Sharky asked. “All the better to help me boot those buccaneers out of me way.” Hook said coldly while turning and walking back up the path. “Oh my.” Smee whispered before the crew followed after their captain.

-

The crew of kids quickly entered the Tiki Tree Forest as they stopped once they felt safe as Izzy landed with Peter’s statue once the pixie dust had worn off. “Phew...” Wendy breathed out as Jake found the head tiki tree and hurried over. “Why hello Captain Jake. What can we do for you?” He asked. “Mr.Tiki Tree, we need your help. Hook turned Peter to stone and now he’s after the statue so that we can’t reverse the spell. Can you help us hide him from Hook?” Captain Jake explained. “Of course. Bring your friend over here.” The tree answered as Izzy used the last bit of pixie dust on Peter to bring him over and set the statue over into a place where he could be hidden as the trees helped lift their stone friend into the branches safely.

“Rest easy, friends. Peter is in safe branches here.” Mr.Tiki Tree reassured the group. “Thanks, Mr.Tiki.” Jake replied, “But we still need to find a way to reverse the spell on Peter.” He said. “Oh, I would help if I could, but when it comes to magic spells, I have no answers. I am stumped,” The tree replied. “What about Misty the Wonderful Witch?” Savaa suggested. “Too far. We can’t leave Peter alone for too long. Especially with Hook hunting us down.” Cubby said as Tink suddenly jingled, raising a finger in the air. “What is it, Tink? Do you remember how to break the spell?” Jake asked as the fairy flew over to Wendy and tugged at her shirt.

“Tink, settle down, please.” Wendy said as the fairy backed off before the girl suddenly got a thought, “Hold on. Is this what you want?” She asked, pulling out an acorn necklace from under her shirt as the fairy nodded quickly. “An acorn?” Skully questioned. “Oh, this is no ordinary acorn, Skully. Long ago, when I first met Peter, he gave this to me and it once saved my life by protecting me.” Wendy explained. “I remember that story! Peter said that you gave him a thimble and he showed it to me once when I was a cub. He always wore it. He said he wouldn’t dare take it off. I just...I just wish it could’ve saved him.” Savaa said, sitting down and lowering her head as Micheal and John placed a hand on her in comfort.

“Wow. Maybe it’s magical.” Izzy said, which immediately gave Jake an idea. “And maybe that’s what will turn Peter back to himself!” Jake added as Tinkerbell nodded at his suggestion. “Let’s try it.” Wendy smiled as the trees moved the branches, lowering Peter down for them as Wendy moved over and took off the necklace before placing it around his neck. Everyone waited on baited breath only for nothing to come out as a result. “Oh dear, oh dear, it’s not working.” Wendy told them as Savaa walked over and rubbed against Peter’s leg slightly before leaning her head into Wendy’s, who placed her hand on the leopard’s head.

“Maybe we need to grow the acorn into a tree,” Izzy suggested. “Yeah. We’ve seen how other magical trees have helped us before, like the Forever Tree.” Cubby said. “I’d say it’s worth a try, so what do you think, Tink?” John asked as the fairy simply gave the ‘I don’t know’ shrug to the boy in response. Savaa’s ears swiveled around at the sound of rustling bushes as she growled. “Someone’s here,” She said. “Quick! Hide Peter!” Micheal gasped as the trees lifted Peter back up after Wendy took her acorn necklace back. Everyone stood on edge before watching a young boy walk through the bushes, pausing to grab his knees and catch his breath.

“Seth!” Jake and his mateys said. “Where’s your crew?” Savaa hissed, startling Seth at her heightened anger. “I’m alone! I swear! Papa Sharky and Papa Bones told me to come and help you guys find a way to reverse the spell on Peter so that way when you do find the reverse spell, me and my family can turn Hook back to normal.” Seth explained quickly. “Why should we believe you when your uncle turned Peter into stone without even a second thought?!” Savaa growled. “Look, I know you guys hate my uncle a lot right now, but this isn't him. This isn’t my real uncle. My real uncle would never be this cold and dark and cruel. And if you don’t want me here, I’ll find someplace to hide until my uncle is back to normal and this whole chaos is over.” Seth explained.

“Savs, belay.” Jake ordered, getting in front of the angered feline, who stood down immediately at the order as Captain Jake turned back over to Seth, “Seth, I know you wouldn’t do anything to hurt us or hurt Peter. He raised both of us together before the whole accident that caused Hook and Peter’s relationship to turn sour. I believe you. You’re our matey. You’re our family too. You can stay and help us find a way to reverse the spell. We’ll need all the hands we can get.” He said as Seth hurried over and hugged Jake, who hugged him back tightly in return.

“Ahem. About growing a tree?” John cleared his throat as Jake let go of Seth and looked at the others. “Right. Well, if we’re gonna grow a tree, it’s gotta grow really fast.” Jake said. “First we need extra special soil to plant the acorn.” John said while walking over as Cubby pulled out his map. “I know where we can find some. In Green Grove Gulch.” Cubby said. “I bet the enchanted water from the Ever Spring Fountain could help the acorn grow super fast,” Izzy added. “And if we warm up the acorn with light from the Neverland Sunstone, we’d have one mighty magical tree,” Wendy said. “And it might save Peter!” Micheal cheered, hopping up and down excitedly.

“Okay, we need to work fast. Let’s split up and yo ho go!” Jake said, running off as everyone went in different directions quickly. Savaa stopped and looked back at the trees as her eyes softened a little. “We’ll bring you back, Peter. We promise.” She said quietly before racing after Jake and Wendy.

On a nearby cliff, Smee walked over to the edge with a spyglass in hand and Hook behind him as the captain’s first mate lifted it up to let Hook look through the spyglass. “Aha! I spy a pack of sea slugs, but no Pan.” He said as Smee put the spyglass down when Hook moved away. “I bet they hid Pan someplace.” Sharky suggested as Hook moved closer to the edge. “No place is safe from Captain Hook. Catch up with those runts, men. Whistle so I know where to find ‘em then I’ll give them a choice. Lead me to Pan or be destroyed!” Hook ordered, pulling out his propeller hook before heading into the air only for the weight of the stone on his body to plummet him to the ground. The crew cringed and looked towards the edge only for Hook to come back up. “Don’t just stand there!” He yelled before hitting the edge a little and then flying away. “Aye aye, Captain!” The three called back and hurried off quickly.

In a nearby valley, Izzy, John, and Seth hid behind a tree while looking at a herd of large bull beetles that grazed in front of them. “The Ever Spring Fountain should be close, but be careful. We don’t wanna spook those Bull Beetles.” Izzy said before walking off quietly. “Indeed. I’m beginning to see how this Big Bug Valley got its name.” John replied. “Trust me, these bugs are definitely big.” Seth told him before quickly following after the two. Izzy looked around before spotting the fountain. “Ahoy! There it is!” She called quietly before hurrying over with the boys behind her, “Check it out.” She said as Seth took out a bottle and handed it to Izzy, who knelt down and dipped the bottle into the water.

“Just a bit of water.” She said before lifting it out and closing it, “I hope this really can help us save Peter.” Izzy told them while plugging the bottle closed and handing it to John, who gladly took it and started twirling his umbrella. “Only one way to find out. Off we go and tally ho!” He shouted as his voice suddenly echoed through the valley. Seth and Izzy immediately got behind John who gulped. “Oops.” He whispered before the Bull Beetles suddenly charged straight for them. “Full speed ahead!” Izzy yelled, grabbing John’s hand and making a run for it as Seth scrambled right after them.

The three ran quickly up a path as they gasped and suddenly spotted the flying captain in the air. “Looks like a wee spot of trouble, eh?” Hook asked, flying above them, “Tell me where you’ve hidden Pan and I’ll lend you a hook, but waste me time, and you’ll feel my wrath. Especially you, you little traitor.” He said, narrowing his eyes at Seth. “Scoundrel! We are not afraid of you.” John replied. “So be it. Petrify!” Hook yelled and turned the trees up ahead into stone as the weight of the stones caused the head of the trees to fall and roll into the path, blocking the way for them.

“No!” Izzy yelled. “Excellent! The Doom Stone has doomed them.” Hook chuckled before feeling his hat suddenly turn to stone on his head and make the additional weight cause him to fall and crash into a tree as Izzy, John and Seth ran past quickly. “Yo ho, oh no!” Izzy exclaimed. “We’ll be trapped! And those bull beetles will crush us!” Seth said. “Fear not, Miss Izzy and Mister Seth. I’ve learned a thing or two about buccaneering.” John said before moving to the other side of Izzy and grabbing her hand, “Tally ho!” He called, raising his umbrella and catching a branch which swung them up as Izzy grabbed Seth and pulled him up with her and John.

The three landed on the branch as John’s hat was misfortuned and had fallen off, being crushed by the bull beetles below and then watching them stop at the blocked path before returning to their grazing like nothing had even happened. “Pity the puny pirates.” Hook said, flying out of the tree and looking at the flattened hat, “They had their chance, but they made the deadly mistake of crossing Captain Hook.” He grinned before hearing a nearby voice. “I think it’s this way, Jake.” Wendy’s voice called as Hook smirked. “Aha! More of Pan’s brats are near.” He said before flying off quickly.

John and Izzy looked at Seth who looked down and started shaking. “I just realized how h-high we are.” He shivered. “It’s okay, Seth. Take our hands.” Izzy said as she and John held out their hands and let the boy grab them. “One...two...three!” They counted before hopping down as Seth landed with the three with ease as he grinned. “I-I did it!” He chuckled. “You sure did. And we sure do make a great team, John.” Izzy said. “Indeed. Now, let’s make haste with our enchanted water.” John told them, popping his hat back open and placing it on his head, “Peter awaits!” He called as the three ran off quickly.

-

Nearby, Jake, Wendy and Savaa went through a jungle as Savaa ducked from Jake’s sword when she got too close as he cut away some thick vines. “Gee, Wendy, the Dismal Jungle sure is a weird place to be looking for a Sunstone.” Jake said, cutting through the vines to clear a path for the three of them. “Agreed, but Peter once showed me a Sunstone, and he said it came from the rocks in this dismal cave.” Wendy explained as they approached a cave together and then headed inside carefully with Savaa staying in the back just in case.

Smee watched them from nearby as he snuck over and looked up, waving his arms. “Over here, captain.” He called quietly as Hook landed in front of him. “Have those tiny terrors said anything about where they hid Pan?” The captain asked. “Afraid not. They’re just looking for something called a Sunstone.” Smee answered as Hook turned to the cave. “Ah, no matter. What they’ll find is their doom.” He smirked.

The three walked through the cave before hearing Hook suddenly call out. “Oh, Captain Jake, Wendy, Savaa. Tell the good captain where you hid me Pan statue and I won’t...trap you in that cave forever!” Hook said as Jake shushed the two only to hear Savaa growl. “Good captain?! You’re nothing, but good, you codfish! And you wouldn’t dare trap children in here!” Savaa growled. “I warned you! You had your chance!” Hook said before flying up and kicking the rock wall above the cave as the three gasped at the cave starting to shake around them.

“Cave in!” Jake warned, grabbing Wendy’s hand and running with her. “Oh, my stars!” Wendy exclaimed as Savaa leapt after them, narrowingly missing a falling rock. “Oh, gracious!” Wendy gasped. “Avast!” Jake yelled, dodging more rocks as Savaa yowled in terror and swerved to avoid the rocks as much as she could before leaping ahead to catch up to them as the whole area was soon covered in a cloud of dust and stone.

Outside, the cave entrance had been completely blocked and covered in rocks as Hook chuckled evilly. “Here lies Wendy, Savaa, and Jake. A pile of boulders left in their wake.” He said, slowly landing on the ground as Smee fought back his tears. “Oh, captain, you truly do have a heart of stone.” He sobbed. “And isn’t it wonderful? Excuse me, I have a statue to find.” He said before flying off once again.

Jake and Wendy coughed, getting up carefully as Savaa looked around them before baring her teeth. “I can’t believe he just...He just tried to kill us! First he’s petrified and turned Peter to stone and now he’s nearly murdered us by causing a cave in?! When I get my claws on him, I’ll-” The leopard rambled as Jake looked at her. “Savs, it’s not him.” He told her, finally starting to break as Savaa looked over and saw the tears in his eyes as she felt her anger slowly die away. “It’s not him. It’s the Doom Stone and its power. It caused this. Not him.” Jake said quietly as Savaa walked over and pressed her head into Jake who hugged her after putting his sword down.

“I’m so sorry, Jake. I’m so sorry. This is all my fault. I should’ve stayed quiet. I shouldn’t have lost my temper. I’m just...I’m just so scared to lose Peter forever!” Savaa sobbed as Jake just held her close. “I know, Savaa...I know. I’m scared to lose him too. He’s like a big brother to me. And he’s a hero, a friend and idol to others, but we have to stay strong. I know we can free Peter and get him back.” Jake said, letting himself cry and letting his own emotions run free so he could stop bottling them up.

Wendy walked over and knelt down, joining the hug to help comfort the two grieving friends. “But how can we get him back when Hook’s trapped us in here?” Wendy asked as the three let go of each other while Jake wiped his eyes with his sleeve, taking a deep breath. “Don’t worry, Wendy. I’ll get us out of here.” He answered, helping Wendy up to her feet. “Always the gentleman, captain.” Wendy giggled, getting back up as Savaa looked towards something that caught her eyes. “Whoa...Look over there.” She whispered as the other two looked over quickly. “Sunstones!” Wendy gasped, walking over quickly.

Savaa and Jake hurried after her as Wendy picked up one of the Sunstones and examined it a little. “And that’s not all! Not only did Hook’s beastly tantrum help us find what we need for Peter...” She started and moved out of the way, revealing a hole just nearby. “It found us a way out of here, too!” Savaa and Jake said in unison as Jake headed up first with Wendy behind him and Savaa last, helping them up the rocks as Jake used his sword to cut the vines before turning to make sure that Wendy and Savaa were still with him as they climbed out carefully. “Yo ho, let’s go!” Jake said before leading the way as Smee caught sight of them and felt his chest breathe out in relief. “Thank goodness!” He said.

At another location, Skully flew ahead of Micheal and Cubby, looking around before spotting the very location they were looking for. “Green Grove Gulch, dead ahead!” Skully reported as Cubby lowered his map and looked at the gulch in front of them. “Check it out, the most fertile soil in all of Neverland.” Cubby said, rolling up his map as Tink hovered just above his shoulder. “Then let’s grab it and go!” Skully replied before running off for a patch of dirt up ahead. “Hey, mateys, wait for me!” Micheal called while running after them.

Sharky and Bones poked their heads out of the bushes before hearing the whirring noise of Captain Hook’s hook. “Did those pests say anything about where they’ve hidden Pan?” Hook asked, sitting on a branch in front of the two. “Not a word, captain.” Sharky answered. “I think they ran off to get some dirt.” Bones added as Hook grumbled and pulled out a spyglass hook, looking through to see the two kids. “Time I took matters into me own hook.” He said before spotting a sleeping bear nearby on a patch of grass, “Yes. This fellow just might help us scare the whereabouts of Pan right out of those little ne’er-do-wells. Men, I’ve got a job for you.” Hook said.

“What be that, Captain?” Sharky asked. “Wake up the bear and make sure that it goes after the puny pirates. Got it?” Hook explained. “Aye aye, Captain.” They replied before running off towards the bear as Sharky grabbed a small branch with a few leaves on it, leaning over and lightly tickling the creature’s nose, waking it up as the two pirates tensed up at seeing the bear awake. The bear growled before growling loudly, frightening the pants out of the pair of pirates and making them run off as fast as possible. “Captain wanted us to wake the bear!” Sharky said while running before turning and diving into some bushes quickly, watching the bear run straight past.

Back with the other four, Micheal finished collecting some of the soil and putting it into a small bag as Cubby closed it up. “There. That should be enough soil,” Cubby said. “Making pirate mud pies. Your fun is going to end now if you don’t tell me where Pan is.” Hook ordered. “We’re not telling you anything!” Cubby answered as the four stood together. “Then I’ll leave you with a new Neverland friend.” Hook smirked as the bear slowly stood up behind the small group, growling ferociously as Cubby and Micheal turned and backed up quickly. “Farewell, bratty buccaneers!” Hook laughed while flying off.

The bear approached them as they backed up against the rocks behind them. “Coconuts!” Cubby exclaimed as the bear growled. “Now, now, Mr.Bear. We don’t mean to upset you. We’re just here to find something for our friend, Peter.” Micheal started talking to the mammal while approaching him as the bear looked at him in surprise before getting on all fours to the boy’s level as Cubby, Skully and Tinkerbell quickly covered their eyes in fear. “Crackers!” Skully exclaimed as Micheal reached out his hand and patted him on the nose gently. “Don’t be cranky, Mr.Bear. We can be friends, too.” Micheal said.

The bear looked at him in surprise before Micheal scratched him under his chin a little. “Who’s a good bear? Who’s a good bear?” He asked as the bear suddenly turned into a big puppy dog, rolling over and letting Micheal rub his belly. “Wow. Micheal can talk to bears, and they listen.” Cubby whispered before walking past carefully with Skully and Tink as Micheal hurried to join them. “Bye bye, Mr.Bear. Bye bye!” Micheal called as the bear waved back to him. “Come on, let’s get this dirt back to Tiki Tree Forest and see if it’ll save Peter.” Cubby said, walking past Sharky and Bones unknowingly as the two popped out once the group had left.

“Thank Neptune. They survived that horrible bear!” Sharky said. “And they’re off to Tiki Tree Forest.” Bones added as the bear suddenly stood up right behind the two. “Jibbering Jellyfish!” Sharky yelled. “Gangway!” Bones shouted as the two quickly ran away from the bear, climbing up a nearby tree as fast as they could only for the tree to bend from their weight as the bear stood up and grabbed a leaf, catapulting the two straight out of the gulch.

At Tiki Tree Forest, the kids ran in from different directions before meeting up at the same place. “Izzy, Cubby, Seth!” Savaa said, running over as the three hurried over and embraced the Never-leopard as Jake did the same. “We were nearly goners! Hook was going to let us be trampled by Bull Beetles!” Izzy said. “And Hook tried to get us attacked by a cranky bear!” Cubby added. “You too?! Hook tried to trap us in a cave by caving it in!” Jake said. “I can’t believe the Doom Stone has done this to my uncle. He really does have a heart of a stone if he nearly wanted all of us dead!” Seth said.

“Did you at least get the soil and water?” Wendy asked, holding the Sunstone. “Yep.” Micheal answered as he held up the satchel of dirt and John pulled out the bottle of enchanted water. Savaa started to dig up a small hole as Jake looked at Mr.Tiki Tree, who lowered down Peter’s statue with Tink using her pixie dust to move him onto the ground. “Thanks for protecting Peter, Mr.Tiki. Now we can save him with the things that we found.” Jake said as Wendy pulled out her necklace. “First, let’s plant my magic acorn.” She said, walking over and dropping the acorn into the hole.

“With the best soil in Neverland.” Cubby added, walking over and dumping the dirt into the hole. “A splash of Ever Spring Water.” Izzy said, dumping the bottle of water into the dirt as Wendy handed the Sunstone to Captain Jake who placed the Sunstone beside the dirt. “And the warm light of the Sunstone to heat things up and...” Jake bit his lip.

“What in blazes?” Hook exclaimed, catching everyone’s attention immediately. “Crispy crackers! Hook is totally turning to stone!” Skully exclaimed. “I thought I took care of all of you. Well, now to finish the job.” Hook said as Savaa got in front of her friends. “Yay hey, no way, Captain Hook!” She growled.

“Move, you overgrown cat!” Hook yelled. “No! You may have turned Peter to stone and you may have tried to kill all of us, but I will not let you come anywhere near these kids! So I give you this one chance. Stop what you’re doing and give up that Doom Stone and I may just spare YOU.” Savaa growled. “Not a chance, you feline! Petrify!” Hook shouted. “NO!” Jake and his crew shouted as Savaa dodged out of the way along with the kids as one of the Tiki Trees was quickly turned to stone. “Pan, it’s moving day to your new home on the Jolly Roger.” Hook laughed only for Tink to fly over and sprinkle the statue with pixie dust and quickly move him away.

“Ye blasted pixie gnat! Petrify!” Hook shouted, blasting a ray towards the fairy. “Tink, no!” Savaa roared, leaping up onto her hind legs to protect the fairy, only to be hit by the ray and swiftly turned to stone while Hook’s upper body was suddenly turned to stone in return. “Oh, glory be. Not now.” He said. “SAVAA!” The kids yelled from behind some of the trees as Tink managed to keep Peter’s statue away from Hook. Wendy looked down at the patch of dirt that started to glow. “Something’s happening. The acorn is growing!” Wendy said. “Brilliant! Now let’s hope the magic will turn Peter and Savaa back to themselves, right?” John asked only for a stone foot to crush the growing plant in front of them.

“Wrong. Consider your plans crushed,” Hook said. “No way!” Wendy and Izzy exclaimed. “HOOK!” Jake yelled in dismay. “Coco-no!” Cubby yelled. “Oh no!” Micheal exclaimed as John looked at the now crushed plant in the dirt. “I say!” John gasped. “The victory goes to me.” Hook said as suddenly, the stone’s magic engulfed the captain and turned the last bit of him into stone. “Captain!” The crew shouted, running over. “Uncle Hook!” Seth cried, running over to join his family.

Wendy knelt down and slowly scooped up the wilted plant into her hands. “My acorn. Gone. And with it, the sweet memory of Peter’s kiss.” She said as Tink brought Peter over and set him down before lowering her head in grief at her dear friend. “Peter’s kiss? What do you mean?” Cubby asked. “When I first met Peter, he gave me this acorn, only he didn’t call it an acorn. He called it a kiss.” Wendy explained as Izzy gasped. “Wait a minute. When Tink thought we needed Wendy’s acorn to save Peter, I wonder if she thought this was a kiss.” Izzy said as Tink immediately started nodding.

“So maybe, to save Peter and Savaa, what we really need isn’t an acorn, but a real kiss!” Cubby said, “Right, Tink?” He asked as Tinkerbell started nodding again before flying over to Peter’s cheek and pretending to kiss him. “A kiss from Wendy!” Jake said as Tink flew away from the statue. “So lay a smooch on him already.” Skully encouraged as Wendy turned back around real quick. “Well, here goes.” She said, taking a deep breath, and walking over as everyone once again watched and waited with baited breath as Wendy gave Peter a kiss on the cheek as it soon glowed, engulfing the statue before releasing Peter from his stone prison.

Peter flew up into the air immediately and let out a crow. “I’m as fun as a riddle and fit as a fiddle!” He said as the crew cheered before Peter gasped and flew down quickly to Savaa’s statue and gently laid a hand on the leopard’s cheek. “No...Savaa.” He whispered. “Peter. May I get a lift?” Wendy asked while walking over as Peter smiled and sprinkled some pixie dust and allowed Wendy to fly up to the rearing leopard and kiss her on the cheek. The statue glowed as Savaa let out a gasp and fell to the ground from losing her balance when the stone curse was reversed. “Ow.” She giggled. “Savaa!” The crew shouted as Jake, Izzy, Cubby, and Skully raced over and embraced the Never-leopard tightly.

“Don’t do that to us again!” Jake laughed as Peter landed. “Peter.” Savaa breathed out as the kids let her go, letting the feline get up and run over as Peter hugged Savaa. “Thank Neverland.” He breathed out before standing up to look at the whole crew, “Thanks, mates. And thanks for the kiss, Wendy. For both of us. The real one.” He said while leaning close to Wendy a little. “You’re welcome.” She replied while blushing. “Peter, I think we’d better hide that Doom Stone where no one can find it. Ever, ever again.” Jake suggested. “You’re right, Jake.” Peter said before flying over to Hook’s statue, “With magic this dangerous, there’s only one sure way to protect everyone from its dark power.” He explained while taking the Doom Stone out of Hook’s hand and flying back up.

“Captain Jake, batter up!” He called, tossing the stone up as Jake pulled out his sword and held it like a baseball bat before hitting it straight away as it suddenly exploded into the air. “Great galloping galleons!” Sharky exclaimed. “The Doomy Stone is no more!” Bones said, keeping an arm around Seth as a cloud of purple was sent around, turning the trees and anything turned to stone back to normal. “Aloha! We be free! Thanks, friends!” One of the tiki trees cheered. Hook’s crew looked over at their captain immediately, hoping for the same result.

“Captain?” Smee asked, only to realize that nothing was changing whatsoever, “Oh, dear. Once again, it’s a happy ending for everyone, but you, captain.” He cried. “And now we be crew to a statue.” Sharky sniffled before the crew hugged each other, crying as Seth placed a hand on Hook’s arm. “This can’t be happening...It can’t be...” He cried. “Boys.” Wendy suddenly piped in as the crew looked over at the young girl, “If a kiss can save Peter and Savaa, then maybe it can cure your captain’s stone heart, too.” Wendy explained. “Ye thinks?” They asked as Seth hurried over with Wendy kneeling down to his level. “Do you really think so?” He asked as Wendy nodded and stood up. “It’s worth a try.” She answered.

Wendy walked over to Hook before giving him a small kiss on the chin as the statue suddenly turned gold with the stone vanquishing, making Hook fall backwards onto the ground as the captain looked up, blinking a couple of times and looking at his hands and himself as he gasped. “You saved me, boys!” Hook said. “UNCLE HOOK!” Seth yelled, racing over as Hook immediately hugged the boy tightly. “You saved me,” Hook repeated. “Not us, captain. Wendy. Now, hopefully, your heart will never turn to stone again, for all of our sakes.” Smee said as the crew walked over to join them, “Um, sea pups, Peter, we’re sorry for causing so much trouble today. Alas, it was the captain's orders,” Smee said.

Peter laughed a little, sitting in the air. “No big surprise. Whether he’s stone or not, Hook is always Hook and that’s trouble enough.” He replied. “Thank you, sea pups.” Smee said as Sharky and Bones helped Hook back onto his feet. “Wait.” Hook said, looking over at the other crew, “Captain Jake, Peter, popinjays. I...I’m so sorry. I can’t believe that I almost did all of those cruel things to you all. But, why did you help me? You could’ve kept me as a statue.” Hook said. “Because remember what Jake said back when Jake finished his Forever Quest? We’re all family. Even you guys. And we aren’t bad pirates. We wouldn’t ever let your crew suffer if they had lost you. Especially when me and you raised Jake together along with Seth.” Peter said, landing near Hook.

“You did?!” The crew asked in shock. “Aye, it’s true. Pan was always the big brother helping me, the father of the bunch, out. But then I had an accident and lost me hand and needless to say, after today. I want to change. For not just everyone’s sakes,” Hook said before looking at his crew, “But for me own family. Me crew.” He finished as the boys immediately hugged their captain. “I hope you stick to your word, Captain Hook.” Savaa grinned. “I will. Pirate’s Honor. And if anything, I’ll let Seth be the one to put me in me place.” Hook chuckled. “You got that, Seth?” Jake joked. “Aye aye, Captain Jake!” Seth laughed.

“It’s great to have you back, Peter. I don’t know what we’d do without you.” Izzy said. “Hear, hear! Neverland wouldn't be Neverland with Peter Pan!” John cheered. “And that’s because, of all the treasures of the Never World, you’re the greatest.” Jake said. “And so are you, Captain Jake.” Peter replied before flying up into the air, “The greatest treasure that you find when you search on Neverland.” He sang before landing and wrapping an arm around Jake, “Are the mateys in the crew of Captain Jake and Peter Pan.” The two sang. “We are fearless in the face of danger, an unstoppable pirate crew. With mateys, like Jake and Peter, we’re gonna see any challenge through! Captain Jake and Peter Pan, are watching over Neverland. Watching over Neverland. Captain Jake and Peter Pan, watching over Neverland. Yo ho, Neverland Pirates, yo ho, let’s go!” The crew cheered.

The crews cheered as Savaa looked at the sun. “And judging by the sun in the sky, we still have daylight to go and celebrate not only Peter’s return, but a way to celebrate a new beginning for everyone!” She said as the crews cheered before heading out of Tiki Tree Forest together to go and celebrate the rest of the day together.
