Firey, if Coiny had to describe him, a annoying pathetic dumb object who is so easy to slap that he could probably do it a million times. Firey was someone who Coiny had a heated rivalry against, even well before bfdi started and well after that. Despite the fact that they were friends now, Coiny sometimes still wanted to slap that stupidly adorable face of his, gosh he's so irritating and annoying, Coiny can't deal with him, it's the way how firey ran around his mind all the time, or how he acts stupidly clueless to the easiest things, or even how he laughed that could send coiny into a coma, yet Coiny couldn't understand why all of this kept on repeating and looping in his mind. Coiny knew he had more important priorities in mind to focus on, so he decided to go and consult with Pin about all of these new feelings.
Coiny approached the familiar home that he regularly visited, since Pin lived nearby to him, Pin was a best friend to Coiny, and if he had anything to rant about, he would always be at her door for advice from her. Pin's doors and roof were both painted a bright vibrant shade of red, and her walls were colored a light nice famillar yellow that complimented the rest of the house quite nicely. Coiny had already gotten quite used to all of this, since pin had never really decorated the exterior of her home. However, as he approached Pin's doorstep, Coinys eyes landed onto a new decoration sat right outside her doorstep, a yoyleberry shrub. Coiny slowly approached her door, making sure his footsteps weren't loud, as if he wasnt supposed to be there. However right before he knocked, his curiosity got the better of him.
His hands quickly latched onto the plant, each one of his fingers careful not to drop the small pot. His watchful gaze scanned and searched the yoylebush for any reasons on why Pin would have decided to buy this plant, but he quickly realized that he could always just ask Pin about the plant if he wanted to, so he slowly placed the plant back to it's original spot. However, Right as Coiny knocked onto Pin's door, his eyes latched onto a small tag attached to the ceramic pot. "Love, Leafy <3"
He knew that Leafy had been visiting pin alot recently, and that Pin had a crush on Leafy, but he couldn't tell if that plant was supposed to be a romantic gift or just platonic, considering the fact that it had the word "love" on it. However, his theories were cut short as he heard the famillar foot steps of a red thumbtack approach the door.
As Pin opened her door, Coiny immediately spotted a familiar green leaf on pins couch, who had been eating ice cream. Leafy seemed to be busy talking about her current rank on the nice list which she was constantly updating, which was something Coiny was never interested in listening about.
Pin seemed to be surprised at the coin's arrival at her doorstep, however, her face quickly changed as she invited the coin inside her home.
"Oh hello Coiny! I didn't expect you to come visit, I'm a little preoccupied chatting with Leafy already, but you can come inside if you'd like! I'll go make tea for the three of us. "
"Sooo, how come ur visiting? You usually tell me beforehand, even if you're five minutes away from here. "
the thumbtack asked curiously, her gaze watched Coiny, waiting for a reply
"Oh, uh.. I have something to talk about.. It's kinda personal but it's super important so I'll let leafy listen as long she she promises not to tell. " Coiny quickly replied, his voice seemed nervous and uncertain, as if even he didn't know what he was about to tell them.
Leafy quickly made a gesture to keep her mouth zipped as she fixed her posture and sat up straight.
"So, now that Leafy has vowed to not tell a single soul about whatever this is, what is it you wanted to mention? "
"Well, it's about firey. He hasn't done anything wrong, but for some reason he's stuck in my mind like how he was back in bfdi, back when we were still arguing all the time. "
"It's like his dumb face is taking over my entire mind, but it's not exactly like how I felt whenever I saw him in bfdi!! "
"It's like I'm going crazy thinking about him!! It's so annoying and I don't know why I feel like this!! "
Coiny admitted defeatedly, his panicked rambling went on and on all about how Firey, his rival, had been taking up all the coins thoughts and making him go crazy
Pin and leafy gave each other a look during the coins rambling, like they had the same thought process on why the coin was feeling this way. Then finally, Pin gave a sigh before finally cutting off the coins confused questions.
"Coiny, do you know how many times you've mentioned firey just this month alone? "
"Uhm.. Once or twice maybe? I mean, hes my rival!! Or was.. But I still have a right to bring him u- "
"You've mentioned him EVERY single time we've talked. Honestly, I'm getting sick of the way his name sounds, since you always mention him way too much. "
"Yeah.. I haven't even been here half the time you've been here, and honestly you talk about firey alot! I can't even remember a time where you didnt mention firey at all when we were all at Pins house!"
"I.. Uh.. Okay, whatever! Maybe I mention him a lot more then I realized, but so what! How does that correlate to what I just said?? "
Coiny held his breath waiting for Pin's response, his hands fidgeted and intertwined with one another, and his leg was shaking more then usual, he knew whatever that this was, was most likely gonna be something either insignificant or mind-changing, and he was still in the dark about this
"OMPF!! Coiny, you can't be serious, do you SERIOUSLY have no idea what this is, or are you in denial somehow?? "
Pin chuckled as she spoke, out of shock of how absurdly dumb her dear friend coiny sounded to her
She sneaked a glance at leafy, who shared the same look that Pin had. Both their faces seemed to be a look of disappointment.
Coiny, who still had no idea what was happening with him, was filled with even more anxiety based of how pin and leafy was acting. His face seemingly even more desperate to figure out what was wrong with him.
"I'm sorry coiny.. It's just that you're being so blind that I can't believe that your being serious right now.. I knew that sometimes you could be a bit dense, but not this dense! "
"Okay. Wow helpful, I really needed to hear that!! " Coiny replied sarcastically.
"So, are you gonna leave me in the dark or tell me what's happening?? "
"Coiny.. It's pretty obvious what's happening here.. Even I can tell what's happening!! "
Leafy chirped, her voice laced with a hint of humor.
"Alright, can one of you guys explain to me what's wrong with me before I lose my mind?? "
"yeah lose ur mind thinking about firey.. "
Coiny snapped his head to the leaf who said that, and gave her a death look, his cheeks glowed red with embarrassment
"Coiny.. It's abundantly clear that you have a crush on firey.. Honestly, I could tell before you even mentioned this. "
"What? No way! I would never like that stupid flame, Infact I can't even think straight whenever I think of him, he just pisses me off really bad!! "
"Yeah Coiny.. Thats normal when you love someone.. When you think of them, you get all overly excited and emotional. "
"I.. I need a moment. "
Coiny got up and ran out of Pin's house, slamming the door on his way out, his usually smug and confident demeanor replaced with a shocked and panicked one.
He cursed under his breath at the new realization, his thoughts still filled with pictures of his rival
As he ran, he couldn't help but think and wonder if Pin and Leafy were right, did he really have a crush on firey?? Out of all people.
Coiny snapped back to reality however, when he stumbled into someone. His back hit the floor hard as he heard groaning from the poor object that he had just ran into
As he looked up, he prayed that whoever he had just ran into was someone who he could easily run away from, just to see an all too famillar face that he had been dreading to see, Firey.
