Summary
As Blitzo balances on the edge of adulthood, everyone around him keeps changing, no matter how badly he wants things to stay the same. However, after a chance encounter with a weird, rich, nerdy goth at the mall, Blitzo starts to feel like some change can be good.
Stolas is smart, sweet, and lonely enough to find him charming—it’s easy for Blitzo to become enamored with him. When Blitzo is struggling with Fizz’s growing popularity, Barbie’s growing distance, and his mama’s growing medical issues, Stolas is always a safe place to land. But as time passes and their relationship becomes more serious, life only gets more complicated, and the future Blitzo desires feels increasingly out of reach.
If he can keep Mama and Barbie and Fizz and Millie and Moxxie and Stolas, he knows he’ll be alright. He can’t even bring himself to imagine the other option.
