Chapter 1: When the Veil Opens

Chapter Text

It all started with a beautiful sunny days, the birds were singing and people were happily walking through sumeru city.
Nahida, other known as the Goddess of wisdom was in her office quietly working and watching through the window, until one of the guard came to her asking for her help.

"Lord kusanali! An intruder as been arrested and claim to have something for you."

"For me? ...very well, let him come in.."

And as asked the guard quickly left the office to come back a few minutes later with the intruder.
Nahida watched the man before her, curious and wary until she finally spoke.

"I hear that you had something for me ?.. is that true?"

she asked but only silence followed by, the man stayed calm and silent he didn't even react when she came closer...
well..
Almost didn't react...

As soon as she was at arm length to him he murmured something, something she could barely make out but she was sure it was something along the lines of:

"Beyond the Veil of Borrowed Skies-..."

And after finished his sentence she suddenly saw all white. She was no longer in the sumeru city..
No...
she was no longer in teyvat...

...............................-----------..............................

The rain over Yokohama came down in thin silver lines, blurring neon lights and turning the pavement into a mirror.

Dazai osamu had been wandering aimlessly — as usual — contemplating dramatic drownings that required significantly less effort than paperwork.

That was when he saw her.

A small figure collapsed beside a flickering streetlamp.

Barefoot. Soaked. Too still.

Dazai tilted his head.

“Well now… that’s inconveniently tragic.”

He crouched beside her, brushing rain-damp hair from her face.

White hair with green tips.

Unusual.

Her skin was cold — but not with the weakness of illness. It felt… distant. Like touching something that didn’t fully belong to the air around it.

Just as he reached to lift her—

Her lips moved.

Soft. Faint. Almost swallowed by the rain.

And then the words came.

Not in Japanese.

“…Irminsul… can’t… hear you…”

The air folded inward like breath being drawn by something vast.

Then it was gone.

The rain resumed its steady rhythm.

The streetlamp steadied.

The girl fell completely unconscious.

Dazai stared down at her, unusually silent.

“…Well,” he murmured, sliding an arm beneath her shoulders and lifting her carefully. “That’s definitely not a normal runaway situation.”

He glanced up at the sky.

It felt like something had closed.

Or perhaps something had been sealed shut.

As he carried her toward the Armed Detective Agency ,her hand twitched faintly against his coat.

And though she did not wake—

The faintest green glow pulsed beneath her skin.

Like a world trying very hard to remember her.

-------------------....................------------------

Dazai arrived at the agency a few minutes later with the "young" girl in his arms, he walked into the office and everyone watched him surprised and curious as he gently put the girl down on one of the agency sofas, before atsushi walked toward him before asking the question everyone wanted to ask.

"Um.. Dazai-san.. who is she..?"

"Oh, her? I don't know, i found her unconscious in the street, and since she seem a little bit to young to be out there with this weather i took her!"

.....

"You what!? What if her parents get worried you bandaged freak!?"

Yelled a blond man as he glared at dazai, but it only took a little sound from the unconscious girl to calm him down.
The blond man known as Kunikida doppo sighed before walking toward him his desk, looking fir files for any information he might find about this little girl, with dazai and atsushi watching behind him.
They looked for a few hour but to their surprise nothing.
There was nothing.
Absolutely zero information about this girl.
No name, no age, no birthday and birthplace.
Its like.. she doesn't existed.

They shared glances, they were confused and didn't know how to react but they didn't have to wait long before a stir pick their attention.
It was perfect!
The girl finally woke up they could ask her questions.
And so they go up from their desk and went to see her.
