After three years on the road, Celeste had nearly convinced herself that Mondstadt would feel smaller when she returned.
She had spent those years traveling from port to port, mountain town to mountain town, bartering barrels, spices, and spirits to taverns that smelled a little like home. The work had been good to her. Good enough that her parents now slept beneath a roof she had bought with her own mora.
She only meant to stay long enough to see them settled.
Long enough to laugh with old friends. Long enough to rest her feet before the road called again.
