   Summary

   Eloise Bridgerton, now firmly on the shelf, is given minor household tasks by her mother. In her efforts to have their clocks mended, Eloise meets Mr James Sweet, humble clockmaker, and develops an unfortunate connection with him. Determined to forge her own path and follow the example set by Wollstonecraft, Eloise decides to learn more about the world beyond the ton.
