August 23rd
It was a rainy day outside, Minho stared out the window near his desk in class as the teacher described what their class would be doing for the day. Something about "partner work."
Minho knew he'd be alone again, or stuck with somebody who was partnered with him because of pity or because the teacher forced them to.
Mr. Teacher kept on talking about the project, explaining how he would choose everybody's partners for them.
Minho let out a sigh and sat up in his seat, now fully alert of the names the man at the front was calling out, some girls started squealing when they were partnered with their friends, others quietly looked over at their work buddy. And then they called his name. "Next group, Lee Minho and Han Jisung."
'Jisung? ' Minho asked himself. He looked around the room and saw an awkward figure standing up and walking towards him hesitantly. "Hey. Uhm, I'm Jisung. Im new." The boy stuttered out, raising his hand to give the other a shaky wave.
"Hi. My name is Minho." He stood up and extended his hand forward for a handshake. The nervous other, Jisung, grabbed Minho's hand with his own sweaty palms. "Sorry, I'm not really used to talking to new people."
Minho had to stifle a laugh at his words, covering it up with a cough. "That's perfectly fine with me. I'm the same."
Jisung gave a small smile that was in between fear and a sense of comfort from being around Minho. They let go of each other's hands and the taller boy returned the smile and cleared his throat. "So, do you know what we're supposed to be doing? I wasn't quite paying attention to the class." Minho chuckled at his own words.
Jisung also laughed softly in reply, lightening the mood just a bit. He nodded and took a seat, waiting for the other to follow. When he did, he explained to him what they were supposed to be doing, breaking into little conversations about getting to know each other every now and then.
