    Summary

    Receiving a diagnosis is one thing; actually working out what that means for you is another. It’s a strange adjustment, realizing that what you think of as normal, actually isn’t, and that you can receive help for the problems you didn’t even know you were facing.

    But sometimes, when you receive that help, you feel like a fraud. Asking if you REALLY need it. After all, you were getting along just fine without it before. And the feeling that all this hullabaloo is really unnecessary is only exacerbated when the diagnosis in question is “mild.” The impostor syndrome is real.
