Genya wasn't exactly sure why he agreed to go out shopping with Sanemi and Giyuu, he just did. And he is starting to regret it because it’s rather boring, and shopping with Sanemi was often a nightmare considering how mad his brother would get at random strangers who were at the store.
Genya followed behind Sanemi and Giyuu, paying more attention to his phone and music than anything else around him. Mostly because, everything around him was incredibly over stimulating.
The store was bright, there were so many items on the shelves that Genya could hardly focus on any one item. There were people everywhere, many paying less attention than him as they walked around. The occasional announcement would crackle over the loud speakers at the store.
All and all it was awful and Genya really wished he was back home in his room right now.
He wondered how Giyuu was able to put up with how over stimulating the place was.
Genya tensed up as he bumped into Sanemi who had stopped in front of him.
“Put your phone down and look where you’re going Genya,” Sanemi said, clearly annoyed.
“Sorry,” Genya mumbled, shoving his phone into his hoodie pocket.
“If you want to go wait in the car you can,” Sanemi told Genya.
“I’m fine,” Genya replied.
Sanemi frowned, “whatever, it’s not my fault if anything happens.”
Sanemi started walking again and Genya again followed behind him, this time without his phone to distract him from everything.
Genya bit his lower lip as he tried to manoeuvre around the other shoppers, while still trying to keep up with his brother.
He was really starting to regret coming along, which was not helped as Genya started to feel the odd haze of regression taking over.
Genya was trying his best to push it away. He didn’t want to regress in public, it was bad enough when it happened at school but he was at the store surrounded by strangers.
Genya hadn’t even noticed he reached out and grabbed his brother's jacket until his brother stopped again.
“The hell are you doing?” Sanemi [spat].
“Sorry,” Genya said, as he let go of the jacket and shoved his hand into his hoodie pocket.
Sanemi sighed, “look if you’re starting to feel little you really should go wait in the car.”
Genya shook his head, both trying to deny he was feeling little and to show he didn’t want to go back to the car.
“I don’t want you getting all upset in public, Genya,” Sanemi warned, yet still softening his voice.
“I’ll be fine,” Genya tried to assure his brother.
“I can go to the car with you,” Giyuu offered.
Genya again shook his head, “I’ll be fine,” he repeated.
Sanemi and Giyuu shared a glance then Sanemi sighed again, “Fine, just stay close.”
Genya nodded, then grabbed ahold of Sanemi’s jacket again, to make sure he would stay close.
As the trio walked up and down the aisle of the store, Genya was starting to struggle more with the stimulation. The lights, people and static-y speakers slowly became more and more overstimulating for him.
The only thing he could think to do was grip his brother's jacket tighter, pulling down on it.
“Genya,” Sanemi’ voice was soft but still annoyed, “you’re pulling my jacket off.”
Genya immediately retracted his hand, “sorry, Nemi.”
Sanemi grabbed Genya's arm softly and pulled him forward then placed his brother's hand on the cart. “Hold on to the cart,” Sanemi instructed.
Genya did exactly as told.
The showing trip felt as if it was never ending. Genya was getting tired of being dragged around the store, and was no longer able to push back the feelings of being little.
Genya's only hope was that Sanemi and Giyuu didn’t realize he regressed in the store and that could wait until they were at least in the car again.
But it was easier then done especially as Genya would occasionally trip over his own feet, and soon his fingers found themselves in his mouth.
“Don’t do that Gen,” Sanemi told his brother, removing Genya’s fingers from his mouth.
Then Genya whined the last sign that anyone would need to know he was little.
“Do you want Giyuu to take you to the car?”
Genya again shook his head, “Wanna stay.”
“Why do you want to stay if the store’s upsetting you?” Sanemi asked.
Genya shrugged then pointed at Sanemi.
“We’re almost done shopping at least,” Sanemi said.
And true to his word soon the three were standing in line waiting to pay for their groceries. Genya looked around, noting how they were completely surrounded by people. He gripped the cart a bit tighter.
“You okay Gen?” Sanemi asked.
Genya nodded slowly.
“The line is the worst part,” Giyuu told Genya, finally saying something after being silent the whole trip.
Genya again nodded.
The line began to move forward slowly, and Genya could see there were only a couple people ahead of them. Part of him knew this meant they would be out of the store soon and could go home.
But as they waited Genya felt a twinge in his tummy, he then let go of the cart and tugged on Sanemi’s sleeve.
“What’s up bud?”
Genya leaned forward then whispered “gotta go to the bathroom.”
“Shit. Giyuu stay with the cart. I gotta take Gen to the bathroom,” Sanemi told Giyuu in a hushed tone.
Giyuu nodded and stepped closer to the cart.
Sanemi took Genya’s hand then led his brother towards the bathroom at the front of the store. Luckily there was no one in the bathroom.
“You got this?” Sanemi asked.
Genya nodded then went into one of the stalls.
Sanemi waited outside standing near the sinks.
Genya fiddled with his belt, but before he was able to get his jeans off he felt a wet warmth spreading across his legs and the sound of liquid hitting the floor. Genya froze in place and whimpered.
“Nemi,” he called on the verge of tears.
“I know Gen, you have to unlock the door for me.”
Sniffling Genya did as told, unlocking the door to the stall. Sanemi pulled it open then pulled Genya into a hug, which was when the little finally broke down into tears.
“It’s okay bud,” Sanemi soothed, “It was just an accident.”
Genya couldn’t put it to words but he couldn’t help but feel it was worse than an accident, because it wasn’t like the ones he would have at home, it was even worse than the one he had at school.
He was at the store which he already hated and now he was wet and icky and he just wanted to go home, but he knew there was going to be a car ride home. His spiralling throughs only made him cry more.
“It’s okay baby,” Sanemi cooed, as he took his jacket off, then wrapped and tied it around Genya’s waist.
It didn’t make Genya feel much better.
Sanemi grabbed Genya’s hand and began heading out of the bathroom, Genya tried to pull his hand back not wanting to be seen in wet pants.
Sanemi stopped and looked to Genya, “Listen, I’m going to get Giyuu take you to the car okay, no one will see.”
Genya shook his head.
“You can’t stay here, Genya,” Sanemi told his brother.
Reluctant and still crying, Genya followed his brother out of the bathroom and back to the line where Giyuu was waiting.
“Take him to the car,” Sanemi instructed Giyuu as he handed him Genya and the keys to his car.
“What happened?” Giyuu asked.
“Accident,” Sanemi whispered, trying to not upset Genya anymore.
Giyuu nodded and took Genya’s hand and began leading the little to the door of the store then to the car.
Giyuu unlocked the car then helped Genya get inside.
Genya was still sniffling with tears rolling down his cheeks. He hated how his pants felt as they clung to his skin. He hated that he couldn’t stay big while at the store.
“You okay?” Giyuu asked.
Genya shook his head.
“Is there anything I can do to help?”
Genya again shook his head.
“Sanemi should be out of the store soon then we can go home,” Giyuu told Genya.
Shortly after that, Sanemi had returned to the car, “How is he?”
“Very upset.”
Genya was sitting in the back of the car, his arm crossed, tears still streaming down his face.
“We’ll be home soon, then I'll get you cleaned up.”
“Sorry,” Genya mumbled.
“Don’t need to apologise Gen, it was an accident.”
“Always have accidents.”
“It’s okay bud, you’re little is bound to happen.”
Genya replied with a small unhappy noise.
Sanemi reached in the back of the car and buckled Genya’s seat belt, “I promise it’s fine.”
Once the bags were loaded into the car Sanemi went to the driver's seat, “Ready to head home?”
Genya nodded weakly.
“Bingo’s probably waiting for you,” Sanemi told Genya as he started the car.
The drive home was uncomfortable for Genya, the wet spot on his pants had cooled down considerably and was still clung to his thighs. He kept pulling at his pants but each time either Sanemi or Giyuu would tell him to stop because it was yucky, eventually leading to Genya breaking out into sobs again.
Genya was so upset he didn’t even notice that Sanemi had pulled into the parking lot of the apartments, until the back door was opened and Sanemi was unbuckling Genya and pulling him out of the back.
Sanemi carried Genya upstairs to their apartment and unlocked the door. He got his own shoes off before helping Genya with his realizing he would have to clean them up later.
“I’m gonna get Genya cleaned up,” Sanemi told Giyuu.
Giyuu nodded, "I'll get the rest of the stuff from the car.”
“Thanks,” Sanemi replied, before taking Genya to the bathroom.
He turned on the tub and as it was filling with water Sanemi began to help Genya get out of his wet clothes. With the wet clothes off Sanemi helped Genya into the tub.
“Want help getting cleaned up?” Sanemi asked.
Genya nodded as he splashed at the water with one of his hands.
Sanemi smiled and grabbed Genya’s washcloth, he was careful as he washed Genya.
The bath was a quick one and soon Sanemi was getting Genya out of the water. Genya whined as Sanemi began to dry him off.
“Sorry you couldn’t stay in the water bud.”
Genya just whined again.
“No whining, let's get you dressed.”
Sanemi took Genya to his room then grabbed a change of clothes for Genya then helped him into them.
“There we go,” Sanemi said as he finished pulling down Genya’s shirt, “all clean and dry.”
Genya smiled and did grabby hands towards Sanemi. Sanemi in turn scooped his little brother up off the bed then with his free hand he grabbed Bingo and handed her to Genya, who immediately took her into his arms and pressed his face into her.
Sanem took Genya to the living room then placed him on the couch, before heading to the kitchen to find Giyuu.
“Almost done putting everything away,” Giyuu told Sanemi upon noticing him.
“Thanks,” Sanemi smiled, “Gen’s cleaned up seems to be in a better mood now.”
“Thats good.”
“Yeah,” Sanemi turned to look into the living room watching Genya as he played with Bingo on the couch. “He’s been regressing a lot more recently.”
“Is that a bad thing?” Giyuu asks
“I don’t know,” Sanemi shrugs, “I hope not.”
“Maybe you should talk to someone?”
“Maybe,” Sanemi sighs, “What if they tell me it’s all bad though and that we should stop.”
“They won’t say that. Plus it doesn’t look like Genya chooses when he regresses.”
Sanemi nods, “It just happens, like it did today.”
“If no one is getting hurt it should be fine.”
“What if it is hurting him?” Sanemi questioned as he continued to watch Genya play on the couch.
Giyuu comes up to Sanemi’s side and joins him in watching Genya, “Doesn’t look like he’s being hurt right now.”
“What about at the store, or that one time at school.”
“Stuff like that seems pretty rare,” Giyuu explained, trying to reassure Sanemi.
Sanemi sighs, “I guess so. I just worry about him.”
“It’s good that you worry. It means you love him.”
Sanemi smiled softly at his boyfriend, then leaned down to give him a small kiss, “Thanks.”
“You don’t need to thank me.”
It was then that Genya stopped playing and looked over the back of the couch towards Sanemi and Giyuu. He quickly climbed off the couch clinging onto Bingo as he walked over to the two.
“What’re you doin’?” the little asks.
“Just talking bud,” Sanemi replies, “How about we watch some Bluey.”
Genya lets out a happy squeak then nods running back over to the couch.
Sanemi chuckles as he follows Genya to the living room. He turned on Bluey then sat on the couch. Giyuu followed behind them both sitting on Sanemi's left side, while Genya was on Sanemi’s right.
The far too familiar theme song to Bluey began to play as the episode began. And Sanemi was sat between the two people he cared the most about in this world.
Genya was resting against Sanemi Bingo’s ear in his mouth as he watched Bluey, the accident he had at the store was far from his mind. Right now he was dry and he was happy.
