“You’re right, Alphard,” Orion chimed in with his stern voice. “My son, whether he wants it or not, is still the future of this family. He deserves to be treated with respect. But he still needs to go through with the training. Which is why I will leave you to be the one in charge of it.”
“Me?!” Alphard practically screeched out at the same time with Cygnus’ indignant squeak “Him?!”
Walburga looked at her husband in shock, yet stayed silent this time.
“I can’t possibly…” Alphard shook his head. Him arguing about Cygnus being the one to provide Sirius’ education didn’t mean that he wanted to do it instead. No, he wanted his family members to leave the poor boy alone and end this awful circle of abuse.
“Of course you can. It’s a great honour, being entrusted to educate the heir about these important matters.” Orion announced.
Alphard quickly looked at his sister before turning his gaze away.
