Hey everyone. So the season has finished for most of us (sorry about losing out at the playoffs btw). It is also NYC pride at the end of June. How does everyone feel about joining Kip and I at the NYC Pride March? It is an open invitation.

Hope you guys can make it! Scott has been humble because we're actually getting a bus in the march to share with the Sirens. So it's our own exclusive bus with a viewing deck that we can dance on.

The offer is still on the table if you guys can make it. I know that it would mean a lot to the queer fans out there to see the hockey husbands of Ottawa celebrate Pride with them. A chance to show how hockey can also be a part of queer joy too.

Starts officially at twelve, but we have to convene and get on the bus at eleven. We can drop you guys off at any point in the route. Ilya I told Shane we can get a flight from New York at five thirty to Toronto. So we still have an early night before camp.

I know that there's a lot of logistics to organise and you have a lot of questions on how to make it work. But given the state of the NHL and how Crowley is running it. This is a great opportunity to show a new and hopeful version of what the NHL could be. The more of us that can show up at the march, sharing stories from the day and getting people to talk about changing homophobia in the sport - the bigger impact we can have.
I still would respect your personal decision. Just know that there are many people who would look forward to seeing you on that bus in June.

I get everyone's concerns. Bauer haven't told me a lot but they did say that they will have pride themed merch for us to pass out to spectators along the march. So I will get back to you on whether there would be any pride themed merch we can wear on the day. Otherwise, we can wear whatever we like.
