Summary
Shinji Ikari never knew what it meant to be loved; from a very young age he lost his mother in a car accident. His father, Gendō Ikari, fell into total depression after the death of his wife, becoming someone cold and distant with him, leaving him in the care of Misato Katsuragi, his mother’s best friend, who had quite a lot of affection for Shinji, choosing to take care of him as her own son.
His life after that was going well; what he never imagined was that, at fourteen years old, he would have to face the meaning of love... and of abandonment... at the same time.
