"I've... fallen for him," Megumi admitted, his voice low, barely audible over the din of the diner. The words hung in the air like smoke, heavy and inescapable. He watched Nobara's reaction, bracing for the inevitable teasing or skepticism.
Nobara paused mid-sip of her soda, her eyebrows arching slightly, but her expression remained remarkably composed. She set the glass down with a soft clink, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand before leaning forward, elbows on the table. "So it's like that, huh?"
