Then suddenly it’s the last Sunday before the new Hogwarts term starts and the night before Harry and Ron move into their flat and they’re all gathered around a long table in the garden at the Burrow for one last Sunday dinner and Seamus, Dean, Luna and Neville are there too and somehow miraculously things feel kind of good and people are kind of happy, everyone is chatting and laughing and enjoying life when Ron suddenly clears his throat as he stands up. Harry glances at Hermione who’s sat beside Ron, looking up at him encouragingly and lovingly and there’s a pang of something in Harry’s chest because he knows what this is, they’re about to finally be official and then everything will be exactly like Harry’s imagined, him with Ginny and Ron with Hermione because that’s what they’ve always been destined to become through all of this—
