Chapter Text

'Helloo, earth to Taekjoo!' Waving his hand in front of his friend's face, Jongwoo looks at Taekjoo. Taekjoo is asleep without a care in the world. His class was about to start soon, the teacher is about to enter, but Taekjoo just can't get up from his slumber.
His brown hair frames his face awkwardly, giving him a boyish charm. His long lashes flutter from the breeze coming from outside, his expression calm, serene and slightly annoyed by Jongwoo. Taekjoo tries his best to stay awake when he hears the teacher calling out for attendance. Taekjoo responds to his name sluggishly and is about to go back to sleep. Suddenly, the teacher announces,"students, we have a new exchange student. Please say hi to Yevgeny, our new student from Russia. Yevgeny, please introduce yourself."

The exchange student answered in broken Korean with a slight accent, "My name is Yevgeny, it's nice to meet you all."

Taekjoo just about raised his head, and glanced at the student. He was captivated.

Yevgeny looked like something out of a dream, with his porcelain white skin and pale blond hair. His eyes shone of an impossible cerulean blue hue, deep and beautiful. He was quite awkward, fidgeting around his arms and looking at the ground, averting his eyes. His hair fell over his face, slightly covering his eyes, but not concealing them. Taekjoo could think of one thing we he saw Yevgeny. An angel.

Their eyes locked. For a fleeting moment, Yevgeny thought he was being consumed by the dark, hazy browns of Taekjoo's eyes. They were tempting and sensual, but sharp. Yevgeny felt as if he could drown in those unknown depths. He couldn't take his eyes off him.

Taekjoo averted his eyes. He looked at the deserted football field, outside his window, the trees swaying gently in the summer breeze and the unmistakable sounds of cicadas chirping in the sweltering June heat. He tried to focus on things that were not Yevgeny's eyes.

"Taekjoo why are your ears re-"

Jongwoo's head was swollen like a tomato the whole day.
