Summary
Lieutenant Surgeon Harry Sullivan is a good man. Competent, warm, dependable — the kind of officer who makes tea exactly the way his commanding officer likes it and never forgets a colleague's birthday. But beneath the affable exterior, Harry has recognised something in Brigadier Alistair Lethbridge-Stewart that no one else can see: a man slowly dying behind his own walls.
When Harry discovers an unguarded secret, a need the Brigadier cannot name, let alone fulfil, he makes a choice that will divide his life in two. In a shed at the bottom of a suburban garden, behind a hood and a voice modulator, he begins an anonymous arrangement designed to dismantle the most controlled man he's ever known. No names.
