Tenna sighed softly as he stood on the outskirts of the room, watching the other couples dancing gracefully across the floor. These dances were... fun. They were we fine. They would just be a lot more fun if someone other than Muffet wanted to dance with him. It was his party, a celebration of the new kings engagement to their future queen, and yet he still somehow always found himself to be the odd one out.
Asgore had Toriel in arm, leading her across the dancefloor.
They looked comfortable together, like this was easy for them. He wished he had that with someone.
As he watched the couple dance, he couldn't help but meet a pair of eyes across the room, ones that belonged to a man in a situation mirroring his own. A human man.
Mid-length black hair draped over his shoulders, a bold, white streak running through the locks, eyelashes thick and dark. Tenna swallowed. This man was, and he thought this as respectfully as he possibly could, strikingly beautiful. Pretty. Breathtaking. Like nothing Tenna had ever seen.
Why wasn't he dancing with someone? He had to have a partner, as lovely as he appeared; Tenna imagined he had suitors lined up at his feet, waiting for a chance.
The man grinned at him, pushing himself off the wall he'd been leaning on, stepping towards the monster. Confidence looked good on him.
Tenna felt his legs move on their own, body floating through the dance floor, ever closer to the human drawing him in like a breath. And then there he was, standing in front of Tenna, looking up at him through his eyelashes.
He smelled like alcohol, like firewood and cinnamon.
spamton was red in the face admiering the giant mab , hesitantly he helf out his small hand
"care to dance" Spamton asked biiting his lip
the monster was thrilled giving a tooothy grin , taking Spamtons hand in his with a quiet noofd they move their way more into the center of the dancefloor .
spinning , twerling, dipping

Spam coouldent help himself as he followed the giants steps as he gets dipped again , this time Ants face was close to his, hot breath on his neck . it drove Spamton wild .
slowlu standing Spam couldent help but semll a sweet flowery scent . it was making his world slowly spin, syrypy and thick . thoughts where beconming like mush. how much did her dringk/
looking around seeing if annyoone selse was effected , people just kept dancing , eating, drinking happily , without a care in the world. what is this feeling? . why is he thinking thoughts ? not paying attenting he tripped pulling Tenna down with him.
"Careful!" The ant monster caught him around the waist, chittering pleasantly as he smiled down at the smaller human. His heart was hammering in his chest. Tenna had read about things like this, was the human flustered? Was he enjoying this as much as Tenna was?
"We wouldn't want you to get hurt." He continued, gently guiding him back to a steady position on his feet before gently tugging to lead him off of the dance floor. His human partner seemed to have made himself dizzy with all their twirling about. Tenna would appreciate the opportunity to actually speak to him as well, somewhere more private, tucked away from the onlookers he could feel staring at them.
He grabbed two glass of champagne as he led SPamton out onto a balcony, breathing in the warm air of the summers night. Fragrant with frsh flowers both from the courtyard below and the fresh cut ones fillingevery vase and plant pot.
He handed one of the flutes to SPamton, leaning back against the railing. "It's a lovely night, don't you think? Have you been enjoying the party?" He asked him, perhaps slightly fishing for compliments. He'd met so very few humans in his life. And none like this one.
The man snorted, taking a swig of the drink in his hand. "I'd maybe enojy it more if the guy hosting showed up. Seems a waste to not aly eyes on the man who this is all for, no?" The human glanced up at him, smirking. Tenna blushed. Did he know that Tenna was the one who...
"Spamton, by the way."
"Huh?"
"My name, big guy." The man laughed, the sound ringing out like the jingle of a bell.
"Your name is... Spamton?" Tenna tried the word in his mouth, but it felt strange. Like maybe he'd have to get used to it. He wouldn't mind that.
"Don't say it like that!" The human chuckled, finishing off his petite glass of champagne. "You make it sound like gibberish."
"Is it not?"
"Okay, yeah, I guess it is." Spamton thought for a moment, then continued. "But aren't all names, going by that logic?"
Yeah, Tenna supposed, he was right.
"So, you gonna introduce yourself, or leave me wondering for the erest of the evening?"
Tenna blushed, forgetting all about his half o f the introduction. Wasn't this man supposed to be the ambassador for the humans? If so, how did he not know who Tenna was?
"I'm Ant. Ant Tenna."
The human stifferned, head turning slowly to look up at the monster.
"YOU?" He sounded breathless, stunned. "YOU'RE in line to be the new king?!" Spamton was reeling. So many thoughts running through his head, one taking its place above the others. "We shouldn't be out here alone like this! You're about to be married! To be royalty! I ahve to-"
"Stay." The monster softly pleaded, grabbing spamtons wrist, hand completely circling around him. "Please, stay."
Spamton nodded, just barely, then settled back in next to Tenna, still staring up at him, confused.
"Are you... Do you *not* want this?"
Tenna looked guilty. Like he'd just been caught with his claws in a cookie jar.
