Not Just a Security Breach

Summary:

When a homeless kid breaks into the mega pizzeria to steal food, they get more than they bargained for...

"Please don't introduce me like that. It sounds so cringe."
It's my first fic! Cut me some slack!

Notes:

This was originally supposed to be a text box comic, but that didn't pan out. The formatting will be a little rough for these first few chapters because of it.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

Location - The backstage area in Security Breach. Employees are there, closing up. A child has broken in, and is sneaking around.
Time - 10:00 PM
Frisk: (Alright, let’s see what I can scrounge up to eat.)
Frisk: (....For such a giant company, their security is pretty pathetic.)
Frisk: (Well, let’s hope they keep the kitchen unlocked after hours!)
Employee 1: Can’t believe Alphys crashed.
Employee 2: Yeah, we gotta shut her down for a little.
Frisk: (Their main robot crashed?)
Frisk: (Yeesh.)
Frisk: (If they can’t even keep their main attraction functioning, then no wonder their security is so bad!)
Frisk: (This place is a joke.)
Suddenly, they make eye contact with some guy.
Frisk: (Uh oh, looks like the jig is up…..)
He starts walking towards them.
Frisk: (Wait, something about him seems off.)
Danger, danger!
Run away!
He’s evil!
He’ll kill you!
Frisk: (Oh crap!)
The child starts running away, past all the employees.
The guy breaks into a sprint after him.
Employee: What the-!
Asriel: Catch that kid!
The child continues to run, with the guy in persuit.
Frisk: (Oh god oh god oh god oh god.)
Some employees make an effort to stop them, but they’re too fast.
Frisk: (M-maybe one of the adults would help me?)
Frisk: (Getting in trouble would be better than being killed!)
Frisk: (Oh, who am I kidding? They wouldn’t listen to me!)
Frisk: (And they’d have no way of tracking if I died!)
The child takes some sharp turns, and manages to lose their pursuer.
Frisk: (I need to find a place to hide.)
Frisk: (Any ideas?)
Alphys has a secret compartment under her dress!
She’s over there!
The child sees the Alphys animatronic with no employees nearby.
Frisk: (Aha!)
Frisk darts under her dress. They’re just small enough to fit.
Frisk: (I’m glad these ones were helpful.)
Frisk: (I was worried they’d be too scared.)
Frisk gets dizzy.
Frisk: (Wait, am I….passing out?)
Frisk: (No, not now! I’m being hunted!)
They hear voices outside of the robot.
Asriel: Haaah….haaah….
Asriel: Where’d that kid go?
Employee: I dunno, I didn’t see ‘em.
Asriel: Dammit…
Employee: Do you want us to call the daytime security team and have them help you find them?
Asriel: No.
Asriel: No, I can find them myself.
Employee: Alright, I’ll let Chara know-
Asriel: Don’t even bother.
Asriel: I don’t need Chara’s help to find them.
Asriel: I can do it myself. It’s just a kid. I’ll probably be done before our shift even starts.
Asriel: Just go home.
They hear footsteps leaving.
Employee: I’m gonna tell Chara anyways.
Employee: Yeah, that kid was fast.
Employee: Plus, with all the recent disappearances, we need all hands on deck.
Employee: Yeah. I’m sure they can handle it together.
Employee: Evening, Joe, Susan.
Employee: Mac.
Employee: ‘Scuse me.
Frisk feels the Alphys robot be picked up by a cart of some sort, and rolled away.
Employee: Oof.
Employee: I need to start hitting the gym more often.
Frisk: (Disappearances?)
Frisk: (I guess that explains the ghosts.)
Frisk: (That guy must be behind them.)
Frisk: (But I did sense something strange about him. Some sort of evil spirit.)
Frisk: (I mean, I thought it was his, but…)
Frisk: (There was something strange in his voice. It sounded forced.)
Frisk: (There’s definitely something else going on.)
Frisk: (Maybe I should try to find this ‘Chara’.)
Frisk: (He sounded a little worried about them finding out about me.)
Frisk’s vision starts fading to black.
Frisk: (I’m passing out….)
Frisk: (But I don’t think he’ll find me in here….)
Frisk: (I hope.)
They black out.
