Work Text:

Katsuki was already pissed out of his mind today, but Dunce Face just had to push his limits to the test.

The aforementioned blond had fucked up his gauntlets that are a big part of his hero costume. The latter is also the reason why Katsuki has to walk to the workshop of the support course students.

Whatever. It's fine; it's not like it's a long walk for Katsuki, I mean—come on! This is just like a stroll in the park, literally. The workshop isn't even that far away.

But the fact that he has to go in there now just because of a certain dumb blond when he could've been finishing all his homework that was given today and deadline due tomorrow.

Dunce Face can fucking pay the consequences by forgetting to do the assignments. Serves him right.

After minutes of walking, Katsuki arrives at the front of the workshop; he knocks with firm thuds against the door.

"Come in!" Someone responds to his knocking, but it doesn't sound like Hatsume, or anyone from support course that Katsuki has met. And he's pretty sure that he'd encountered all of them by now.

The unknown voice that called out to him sounded more deeper than a girl's, so it's obviously a man. His tone was very kind and cheerful, but yet occupied when saying those words. What could said man be doing? Probably working on something.

Katsuki swiftly sidles on over to the voice, his gauntlets in hand. This guy with green hair lifts his head up to look at Katsuki. And this mystery man was no other than Midoriya Fucking Izuku; Deku.

What the hell is he doing here in the workshop of U.A.? Why the fuck did they allow him to learn here? He's nothing but a quirkless loser. He doesn't deserve to be here—unlike Deku, he actually worked hard to be in this school. He deserves to be here. People who are weak and dumb aren't supposed to be here; so why is he? Why is he here?!

"Uhm," Deku scratches the right side of his face with his hand, showing a sign of bashfulness.

Katsuki soothes his nerves. He's not the person that he used to be back in middle school; he's way better than before—and in order to show that he's changed, he needs to keep calm. He'll just pretend that he doesn't remember Deku anymore. That'll save both of them from an awkward reunion.

"I need someone to fix my gauntlets."

"Oh, uh—alright! What exactly needs to be fixed?"

"The fuck? You're the one who's going to fix it. Find out for yourself.

From the latter's abrasive response, Izuku's mood turns sour and he fixes a mean glare at the blond while jutting out his lower lip.

"That's quite rude of you. Especially if you're trying to be a successful hero in the future."

"Well, maybe if you just did your job, I wouldn't have been so mean."

Izuku huffs, and reluctantly accepts the gauntlets from Katsuki. "You could've just told me in a more nicer way.." the greenette says, whispering.

Katsuki raises his eyebrow, the corner of his mouth tilts up into a snarl. "I don't need to tell you how to do your part."

Izuku flushes in surprise, he didn't mean for the blond to hear his retort. "Sorry.! I didn't know that you would hear that, Kacchan."

Katsuki was about to reply to him, then immediately shuts his mouth in a straight line. Did Izuku remember him after all? If so, then why didn't he say anything? Izuku is probably mad at Katsuki for all those years of bullying.

So how is he not full on yelling at him? Knowing the greenette, he's way too forgiving for his sake. Katsuki would've exploded right then and there if he were him.

Falling into routine, Katsuki accidentally went back to his ways of picking on Izuku. He wasn't trying to—it was just hard to abandon that habit he had his whole life. "Yeah, cause a stupid Deku like you doesn't know anything."

Izuku's spirit darkens; he recalls all of the times where Katsuki was taunting him, the blond's friends beside him that joined when bullying the once weak, timid child that Izuku used to be. It was a dark moment for him. But he chose to not tell so his mother didn't have to deal with so much.

If Izuku were to report the bullying, Kacchan would've gotten in trouble for it, and that would surely tarnish his reputation when becoming a professional hero. And Izuku wasn't going to be the one to take away Kacchan's chance.

He has an opportunity to really change and impact this world with how strong and powerful he is with his quirk. So, even if Izuku had had enough of the bullying, he needed to keep it all to himself for Kacchan and what he is willing to do as a hero.

"That's mean, Kacchan." Izuku replies, a small smile contorts his appearance, but it looks—wrong; he was definitely forcing it, and his tone of voice carried that unwelcomed hollowness in it.

Katsuki winces, "Shit—I'm sorry. I didn't mean that."

Deku's eyebrows rise from surprise at the blond's apology. He recovers quickly, and the corners of his mouth raise slightly, forming a tiny smile.

But this one—this one has a fond feeling to it; a smile that is full of respect and admiration directed to Katsuki. And this time, he'll make sure that it never goes away ever again.

"Deku, I also need to tell you something."

"Hm? What is it?"

"I'm sorry for everything over done. I was a stupid brat, and an insecure little shit that poured out all of my anger on to you."

"Kacchan.. I appreciate your apology, but you should probably go; it's already been so long since you've arrived."

Katsuki checks the wall clock, and Deku was right. It'd been already half an hour. Did he really want to though? Maybe he could linger around here for a few more minutes. But, he sleeps early; and Katsuki has a night routine he follows. He'll come to visit Deku tomorrow, right after school.

"Alright, fine. I'll go back to the dorms now. Don't forget about my gauntlets, Deku."

"Don't worry, Kacchan! I'll make sure it'll be ready in no time!" Izuku does a saluting action.

Katsuki rolls his eyes—it isn't delivered with annoyance, but with fondness. "Whatever, nerd. Don't take back your promise."

"I would never! I'm a man of my words."

"Yeah, okay. I'm going now, see ya later, Deku."

"Bye Kacchan!"

Katsuki heads out of the workshop, aiming straight for his dorm. He's glad to have made amends with Izuku. He didn't expect to reunite him, but it feels great.

Bakugou enters the dorms, most of his classmates are scattered throughout the area. His friends, or as they call themselves, the "Bakusquad," are circling around the couch.

Kirishima's laying down with his head on Mina's thighs, Kaminari is playing a game with Sero, and Jirou is probably hanging out with her girlfriend, Momo.

The blond tries to quietly reach his room without any of his friends noticing him. Unfortunately, his endeavor was futile. 'Cause once he opened that damn door, it let out a loud creaking sound. God fucking damnit.

"Hey, Baku-bro!" Shitty Hair waves him over, beckoning him to come closer.

Bakugou scowls, and he grunts in acknowledgement while nodding once at them.

"What took you so long? I know it doesn't take thirty minutes to drop your gauntlets and tell them what you need fixed." Pinky and her nosy ass questions. Always trying to pry into Katsuki's life.

"Yeah! What took so long, Kacchan?" Dunce Face reiterates Mina's inquiry with that irritating lilt that makes Katsuki want to even more punchable.

"What the fuck are you guys on? I went in and out of the workshop like always." Katsuki lies to their faces. It's not like they needed to know anything he does.

"Stop with your lies, already! Tell us! We wanna know!" Mina shrieks for an explanation.

"I'm not telling any of you a damn thing. I'm going to my dorm."

Kaminari and Mina simultaneously boo'ed disappointingly at Katsuki's defiance.

"Whatever! I'll get an answer out of you somehow! Just you wait and see."

At Mina's persistence, the blond rolls his eyes at her, and walks back to his room.

--

Katsuki plops down on his bed, his body slack. He ends up falling asleep to wondering how he'll approach Deku tomorrow.

Riiing!

He wakes up to the alarm clock blaring on the bedside table next to him. Standing up, Katsuki uses one hand to rub his eye while the other turns off the digital clock.

He showers, throws on his uniform, and goes downstairs to eat breakfast.

Katsuki shows up to the classroom earlier than the rest. There were only six students, including him.

Iida, Todoroki, Tokoyami, Yaoyorozu, and Jirou.

Four Eyes was sitting in his seat with notebooks placed neatly on his desk.

Half 'n' Half, Katsuki could barely give two fucks—let alone one on what he's doing. Same goes for Birdbrain.

Ponytail and Ears are next to each other, sharing the same earphones and listening to music together.

Katsuki reaches for his bag to take his notebook and pen out. He has nothing else to do, so he just doodles in one of the pages.

Students start filing inside; the once empty and tranquil classroom fills the quietude with rambunctiousness from Kirishima and the others. How the hell are they so fuckin' energetic at 7:45 AM?

The Bakusquad greets Katsuki including the same amount of enthusiasm they arrived with. The latter responds, no where near as lively as their welcoming to him.

"Awh, is Bakugou still sleepy?" Mina decides to test her luck by joking around with Katsuki.

"Shut the fuck up, Pinky. And it's only 7:48."

"You literally went to sleep really early last night, how are you not super awake right now?!"

"8PM isn't even that early."

"Whatever—enough of that! Let's talk about why it took you thirty minutes to hand over your gauntlets in the workshop. Don't think I forgot about that!"

Katsuki groans, he didn't expect her to remember. But of course she did; why wouldn't she? It's Mina we're talking about.

"I told you last night; nothing happened. T'was just a longer walk than usual."

"Oh, really?"

Katsuki internally sighs, he knows they're not going anywhere with this conversation, so he just opts to tell her. "Oh my fucking God, fine. I was just talking to someone while I was there. Ya' happy now?" He rejoinders.

Mina squeals, successfully prompting a response from the blond. "So who were you talking to? We all know it's not Mei; you merely tell her what's wrong with your gauntlets, and leave."

"The fuck?! I already told you who I was talking to!"

Kaminari cuts in the exchange Katsuki and Mina were having. "You didn't say a name, duh!"

Katsuki glowers at him, to which Kaminari backs away a little.

"Yeah, Kami's right! You didn't give us a name, Blasty!"

"Oh, for fucks sake. I was just talking to my childhood friend. That's it."

"Woah! We didn't know that you had a childhood friend?!" Kaminari interrupts again.

"You guys never asked."

"You never thought to tell us?" Mina is baffled by this new information given.

"No."

"Wow, Bakugou. And we thought we were your friends." Mina puts her hand on her chest, where she fauxs treachery.

Katsuki never wanted to tell them about Deku, because of how things ended between them. If he had to inform his friends on why they had a falling out, he was sure to be left abandoned after.

"Baku-bro, why didn't you tell us? Having a childhood friend and meeting them again is so manly!"

"How the hell—"

Aizawa steps out of his yellow sleeping bag, and heeds their attention towards him. "Good morning, class."

The students all stand up from their seats and return his greeting in unison. "Good morning, Aizawa-Sensei!"

"Alright, you may sit back down. Kindly wait for Present Mic to arrive."

--

School is over; Katsuki steers towards the Development Studio for one reason: to check on his gauntlets (to see Deku). He knocks like before, and enters.

Katsuki treads over to Izuku's corner where he's seen to be repairing something—Katsuki's support items. The greenette raises his head to face the person in front of him.

"Oh—hi, Kacchan! Your gauntlets are almost ready; I just need to put some finishing touches!"

"Hey, Deku. And don't worry, I just came to see what you're doing."

"Okay, but why? You probably have a lot of things on your plate. It's not good to slack off!"

"I don't have anything going on, and it's fucking boring being in my room all day. That's why I'm here."

"What about your friends? I'm sure you have at least three or more!"

"They're all too damn noisy for me."

"Hm. Well, I guess you can stay here, but there's not much to do. I'm just going to be working on stuff the whole time you're here."

"That's fine by me."

Izuku looks at him with confusion, brows woven together, and a minuscule frown creeping on to his face. Izuku focuses his attention back to the items he was working on; it won't take that much longer until Kacchan gets bored and leaves. So I'll just get back to work and let him be. Izuku ponders.

Katsuki stares at Izuku for a few seconds, before he takes out his phone.

--

All noises that came from Izuku working on projects and prototypes gradually died down. Katsuki looks up from his phone to see what he's doing. Izuku's eyes feel drowsy, and he struggles to keep his eyes open for long.

"Deku, I think you should maybe take break."

"Huh?—oh, no. It's fine. I'm nearly done anyways."

"Deku. You need to take a fucking break. You look like you're gonna' pass out any second now."

Izuku considered this, and figured Katsuki was right.

"Okay, fine. I guess I'll take a small, measly break. So, what are you doing while I was busy with my projects?"

"Not much. Just on my phone."

"Hmm, speaking of phones, we should exchange numbers!"

"Huh? Why?"

"So that we can talk whenever we're both not busy! Unless, you don't want too? If so, I understa—"

"The fuck you talking about?! I'm fine with it, so give me your phone already!"

"Oh, okay, Kacchan! Give me your phone too so I can put in mine!"

"Alright, here." Katsuki hands his phone to Izuku, and he imitates.

"Aaand, here you go!" Izuku gives him his phone back, and Katsuki does the same.

The blond checks the time on his phone, and sees the time.

"Hey, Deku."

"Hm? Yeah?"

"I've got to go. But I'll text you later."

"Okay. I'll see you tomorrow? Maybe?"

Katsuki contemplates, he doesn't hate the idea of seeing Deku again tomorrow, in fact, he almost seems happy. But not too happy. So he agrees to that statement.

"Sure, I'll see you tomorrow, Deku."

"Bye Kacchan!" Izuku waves him off, and Katsuki gives him a nod in response.

He closes the door to the workshop, and a girl—Mina, jumps out of no where.

"What the hell?! Pinky, what the fuck."

"Hey, Blasty! What were you doing in there?" She peeks over at the door behind him.

"I was checking in on my gauntlets."

"Oh, okay, cool." Mina says, her face weirdly smug.

Katsuki shakes his head and goes back to his dorm room.

--

Katsuki plants himself on his bed and pulls out his phone from his pocket. He debates whether he should text Izuku or not. Katsuki shoots him a text before he can back out of it.

———-

Katsuki: Hey, Deku.

Deku: Hello, Kacchan! Why'd you text me? Do you need something? (・o・)

Katsuki: No, are you saying I can't talk to you when I don't need anything?

Katsuki: And what the fuck is that?

Deku: I didn't say that! I just thought that maybe, you'd need something. You can talk to me any time! 😊

Deku: And it's called emoticons! They make my texts look more friendly! 🥹

Katsuki: Looks stupid as hell. Anyway, what are you doing?

Deku: Hey, that's not nice!

Deku: I'm in my room, texting you!

Katsuki: Cool. Me too.

Deku: I forgot to tell you when you were still in the workshop, but I'm done fixing your gauntlets! ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ

Katsuki: Thanks, I'll come by tomorrow to pick them up.

Deku: Very well then, I'm going to be waiting for you at my usual corner! (◠‿◕)

Katsuki: Good. I have to go now, bye Deku.

Deku: Good night, sleep well Kacchan! >.<

———-

Katsuki stares at his phone screen showing his and Izuku's chatter. He doesn't know what this feeling is; where his heart pounds noticeably quicker, a blooming feeling residing in his stomach, and when his face somewhat gets hotter.

But it only happens whenever Izuku is around. Whatever this is has been lingering within him ever since the first reunion with the greenette.

Katsuki isn't sure he knows what's wrong with him, but it's definitely not a cold of some sorts. He chooses to search it up online because he doesn't want advice from anybody about this situation.

Search: Warm tingling sensation in chest when thinking or talking with someone

14, 387 results found:

— A warm, tingling sensation in the chest when thinking of or talking to someone is commonly a rush of adrenaline, dopamine, and norepinephrine, signaling intense attraction, excitement, or "limerence". The brain releases chemicals (norepinephrine and dopamine) in the early stages of love, which can create a "warm, fuzzy," or fluttering feeling in the chest.

———-

Are they absolutely fucking for real right now? This can't be possible. If that were true, then Katsuki has had this feeling for him since middle school. But that can't be, 'cause he was always mad at him.

That's what the pounding feeling was in his chest in middle school—right? And why his face flushed when those green, sparkling, wide eyes looked at him so hopefully even when he was so mean to him. How Izuku always smiled at him with admiration like Katsuki shone brighter than the stars in the sky.

Katsuki's eyes widen at his sudden epiphany regarding this set of circumstances. He liked Izuku; he loved him.

This sentiment hasn't changed even after middle school. It seemed to only have gotten stronger.

This is so bad. Izuku will never like him back after all the things he'd done to him. But he can't just push these feelings down—it's become to intense to ignore. Not like before. Before, he never heeded this, and just dismissed it for hostility.

How is he supposed to talk to Izuku after realizing this? It's gonna' be so awkward. What should Katsuki do? He'll try to figure it out in the morning. Right now, he needs to sleep; and so, he does.

--

His alarm clock rings, waking Katsuki up. He rises from his laying position and moves to switch the clock off. Just like yesterday and every other day—he gets off his bed, showers, goes downstairs clad in his uniform, consumes breakfast, and enters the classroom way too early—as per usual.

He sees the same faces as yesterday; Iida, Todoroki, Tokoyami, Yaoyorozu, and Jirou. This time, he doesn't spare a single second to examine what they're doing, he goes straight to his seat. Katsuki pulls out his phone and sends Izuku a text.

———-

Katsuki: Good morning, Deku.

———-

He isn't expecting a reply right after sending the message. So he waits and takes his notebook out from his bag and starts doodling. His phone jolts as Katsuki lifted his pen. He opens his phone, showing his lockscreen and the notification of Deku responding to his text.

———-

Deku: Good morning, Kacchan!

Katsuki: Are you busy after school?

Deku: No, I don't think so. Why?? (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)

Katsuki: I need to tell you something.

Deku: Oh? What is it? Is it bad? Good? What's happening?

Katsuki: Calm the fuck down. It's not that important. But it still kind of is.

Deku: Hm, I wonder what could Kacchan want to tell me?

Katsuki: You'll know if you wait. I'm not telling you over text.

Deku: Awh, fine. I guess I'll wait.

Deku: But I need to know, what t

ime, and where?? (^^)

Katsuki: Just stay in your area of the workshop, I'll come by at 5:20 PM. 'Cause I still got training to do.

Deku: Not a problem! I'm usually still there until 6:30 PM! 。◕‿◕。

Katsuki: See you later.

Deku: I'll see you later, Kacchan! Bye!

———-

He turns off his phone and puts it in his pocket once class begins.

--

Lunch time arrives quickly, and all his classmates leave haphazardly to line up and secure their seats when finding vacant tables. Katsuki thinks of all the ways he can disclose his feelings to Izuku.

On the way to the cafeteria, Kirishima worries about Katsuki. His mind has been occupied by something else; it's not like him to subconsciously go through his day.

"Hey, Bakugou. Are you okay?" Kirishima questions—his tone is easygoing, delivered with a concerned expression plastered on his face.

"Tch, yeah—obviously."

"You sure, man? You've been acting kinda off lately. Baku-bro, you know you can tell me, right? Sharing things you can't take on yourself is manly!"

Katsuki turns his head to face the redhead. "Are you calling me weak?!"

"Wh—huh? no! I'm just saying. If there's anything bothering you, you can tell me!" Kirishima says with a carefree grin, using his right thumb to point to himself.

Katsuki rolls his eyes and scoffs. Should he really tell him? Is he trustworthy enough for Katsuki to confide in him? Well, he's Katsuki's only friend with a hint of intelligence (kind of).

".." The blond hesitates, but he eventually tells Kirishima. ".I'm going to reveal my feelings to my friend."

Kirishima's jaw slightly drops, unexpected from the sudden crush Katsuki has for his childhood friend. He quickly composes himself in order to not make Katsuki overthink.

"That's so manly of you to admit that, dude!"

"No, it's not manly at all." Katsuki looks down at the floor, his expression is obscured in Kirishima's perspective.

"What are you talking about? I think it's—"

"It's not fucking manly at all! You wanna' know why? 'Cause I've bullied him for our whole lives just after I manifested my quirk." Katsuki grinds his teeth together, too guilty to look at Kirishima's reaction to his secret.

Kirishima stops next to Katsuki, he puts his hand on the blond's shoulder, but he shrugs it off. Kirishima isn't hurt by this, he knows that this is just how his friend is when dealing with his feelings.

"Bakugou, I'm sure that he's forgiven you already, right? If he still let you talk to him, then that must mean something, right?"

"Sure, it could. But even so, he obviously wouldn't reciprocate the affection given to him by his old bully."

"You won't know until you ask him the big question! There's still hope. Just—don't think about it for too long."

Katsuki stares at him with a small amount of gratitude in his eyes. "Yeah, sure. We'll see." He hopes Kirishima'll be right.

"Now come on. We have to hurry because we still haven't eaten yet and I'm hungry!" Kirishima whines as he starts pacing through the halls to get to the cafeteria.

Katsuki follows after him; newfound courage granted to him by his friend. The both of them eat their lunch with the rest of their friends, and proceed straight to the classroom. Katsuki withdraws his phone from his pocket to check the time. It's 13:20 PM. As soon as Katsuki sets his phone down inside one of the small compartments of his bag, All Might enters the classroom.

"Students—get changed into your P.E. Uniforms, and we will all head to training grounds!"

"Affirmative, All Might." Iida turns to face the rest of the students. "Everyone, change into your P.E. Uniforms, we will be doing hand-to-hand combat!" Hands going up and down in a chopping motion.

"We already know that, Four Eyes!"

"It's better to reiterate prior instructions from our teacher in case some of us did not hear him."

"Tch, whatever." Katsuki walks off to the men's changing rooms.

--

Katsuki takes slow steps towards the workshop. He opens the door and takes a quick glance at the whole room where no one else is there except for Izuku.

He takes a deep breath to muster up the confidence Kirishima helped him gather earlier, and steps over to Izuku who has his back facing Katsuki.

"Hey," Katsuki vocalizes, the abruptness prompting Izuku to jolt before turning to the familiar voice.

"Hello, Kacchan! Are you going to tell me now?"

...

Katsuki's mind goes blank and doesn't register what Izuku just said. He vigorously shakes his head to get his thoughts out of the clouds. "Hah? What did you say?"

Izuku takes a good look at his face, trying to find a clue for the blond's anxious behaviour; and also because he's worried about him. "..Kacchan, are you okay? You seem—out of it. Like, you frazzled a bit. Why?"

"I'm fucking fine, Deku. You're only imagining things."

"No, you're not! Come on, tell me what's wrong!"

"I like you!"

The confession that came from the now flustered Katsuki has Izuku speechless. Izuku has liked him way before middle school.

He had always felt this fluttery feeling whenever Katsuki was around; but, as middle school came around, he knew that it would be pointless in pursuing this romantic emotion because Katsuki would never date a quirkless loser like him.

Katsuki was the epitome of raw potential and just overall—perfect; he has a strong quirk, he was handsome, he was smart, and to top it all off, he had ambition and the determination of becoming the one and only thing he's ever dreamed of becoming ever since he'd found out about it; a hero.

On the other side, was Izuku. He also dreamed of becoming a hero one day. Once he found out that he was quirkless, there was nothing he could do; it was completely hopeless.

He gave up trying to be a hero that inspired others, and settled to be the one who helps by creating new innovations and repairing damaged support items while also admiring from the sidelines.

So, why would Katsuki choose him? He's naught but an average person that Katsuki wouldn't spare a single time of day on.

So why? Why him? Why Izuku.? He doesn't understand; he can't understand. Izuku is extremely out of his league. There's no way that Katsuki is being for real—this has to have been some sort of elaborate joke played on him. It's just, not plausible.

Izuku needs to provide an answer now. Katsuki is looking at him with expectation, so the greenette chooses to laugh it off, and go along with Katsuki's plan.

"Haha! That's so funny of you, Kacchan! Nice joke.!" Izuku stiffly reacts, including a fragile chuckle that would shatter if touched.

Katsuki involuntarily scowls, eyebrows creasing from the tension added to them. "It's not a fucking joke, Deku! I'm being serious right now."

"Y-you are.?!"

"Yes! I'm in love with you! I have been since a few years ago. Back in middle school. I misconstrued it for anger instead of whatever the fuck this sappy lovey-dovey thing is." Katsuki ranted, brandishing his arm around during his clarification.

"Kacchan..I feel the same way too! I've been in love with you since we were kids. I never got the opportunity to tell you because of the falling out we had throughout middle school."

"Really?"

"Yeah. I was too scared to utter anything close to that subject when facing you."

"I'm sorry."

"What?! What are you sorry for?"

"For being such a fucking jerk to you. I was a stupid piece of shit back then, I promise I've changed."

Katsuki keeps his eyes fixed on Izuku, and Izuku's are on him. The latter stares at Katsuki—grinning up at him with adoration clear in his eyes from Katsuki's improvement with expressing himself.

It makes Izuku want to cry, therefore he does. He attempts to wipe off the ongoing waterfall his eyes are producing, but to no avail.

Katsuki opens his arms, signaling Izuku to fill in the space. He places his head on Katsuki's shoulder, whilst also wrapping his arm around his waist.

"Kacchan, I'm sorry for crying, but I can't help it!" He answers in choked sobs.

Katsuki fixes a hand on Izuku's back, slowly tracing circles using his thumb to help ease him. His wailing eventually turns into small hiccups, and he speaks again.

"So, do you really like me?"

"Yes, stupid. I love you, Izuku."

Katsuki can't see it, but Izuku reddens upon the taller's shoulder from the use of his real name, along with the unabashed comment. "But, why me though? I mean, why choose me?"

Katsuki understands his doubt, he does. So he'll reassure him with the words he'd been holding back for quite a while.

"I chose you instead of all the other extras because you've been supportive of me from the very beginning. Everyone was afraid of me, but you stayed. Even when I didn't want you too. Every time I pushed you away, you kept coming back. At first, I didn't like it; it made me feel little of how you always bounced back up on your feet even when you were badly injured. That pissed me off, because I couldn't get rid of you. Though now, I don't think I want to. I don't want to let you go. You have rekindled that spark in me that I didn't know existed before you left. I felt empty, and I had no idea what was causing it until I met you again, and that hefty sensation was lifted."

That was not the response Izuku was expecting, but he never expected less from Katsuki. "I think I understand now, Kacchan. Thank you for sharing this with me!"

"Tch, it's not like it was a big deal or anything, only for a bunch of extras." He states, a pink tint spread across his cheekbones as he looks off to the side. He slightly pulls Izuku off him, leaving a gap between their faces. "What do you understand, huh Deku?"

"This,"

"Wh—" Katsuki is cut off by Izuku kissing him on the lips. Adrenaline courses through his veins, sparks flying everywhere around his body, and his pulse quickens. He kisses Izuku back, and notices how soft his lips are; they're kind of chapped, but delicate too.

This lasts a few moments, but in the end, they retreat and position their foreheads together.

"Deku,"

"Hm?"

"Will you allow me to be your boyfriend?"

"Of course I will. I'd love for you to be my boyfriend!"

"And I'd want for you to be mine."

Notes:

Hi guys, so this time, I tried to make it longer and make it less stiffer. This time, I let myself get a little loose and didn't hold back as much. That's all I have to say, thank you for reading! 💕
