Summary
It didn't take a genius to figure it out. Kaiser's teammates were chatting around him, but his attention was entirely on Ness across the room. He noticed immediately the way his cheeks kept flushing pink, how he was biting his lip while moving lead across paper with more focus than usual.
A slow smirk formed on his face as he made a beeline straight for where Ness sat curled up on a bench. He stopped right in front of him, blocking out everyone else with his broad frame.
"Hey," Kaiser murmured, eyes blazing with thinly veiled heat. "You’ve been quiet. Thinking about something?"
Ness squeaked adorably, hands flying to cover up his notebook. "Um… yeah!" he said, voice smaller and strained. "I’m good..."
Kaiser saw right through him with the way his pencil trembled slightly, how his ears went even redder when he stepped closer. His smirk widened as he leaned down, bracing one hand on the bench beside Ness' hip.
"Liar," he breathed. "You’re blushing. And I know exactly why."
