    Today is the birthday of our beloved and idolized Remus!! That's what made me want to write something specifically about this day for him, something happy (in part), because life is already unfair enough on our shoulders and a punch in the ribs.

    Or: Remus's perspective on aging, on acknowledging the past—which always seems to be knocking at the door—and allowing himself to experience certain things, such as love and allowing to feel it without looking at it like a ticking time bomb.
