SIRIUS ORION BLACK
General Information
Name: Sirius Orion Black
Nickname(s): Padfoot, Pads. (Previously called Siri by Regulus when they were younger. He hated it when anyone called him that now.)
Nationalities: French/English
House: Gryffindor.
Animagus: Big black dog.
Relationships:
- Regulus Arcturus Black—Biological Younger Brother
- Bellatrix, Andromeda and Narcissa Black— cousins
- Walburga and Orion Black— biological parents
- James Fleamont Potter— best friend (often considered a brother). Marauder.
- Euphemia and Fleamont Potter— James’s parents and by default, ‘parents’ to Sirius.
- Remus John Lupin— a close friend that Sirius has had romantic interest in for years. Marauder.
- Peter Pettigrew— Close friend that Sirius is often a little harsh with. Marauder.
- Marlene McKinnon, Lily Evans, Mary McDonald— friends that he met through Remus. In third and fourth year, he had on and off dating phases with Mary.
- Severus Tobias Snape, also known as Snivellus— person he dislikes strongly. Something had always ticked him off in the way he moved and spoke. Perhaps it was because he was practicing another side of the same coin as Sirius. Severus was almost exactly what Sirius’s parents expected him to be. Perhaps it was because Severus always spoke as if Sirius owed him something. Something had always ticked him off in the way he moved and spoke. It wasn’t uncommon for the marauders to pull pranks intended mostly to target Snivellus, a childish feud that had been ongoing for far too long. He nearly always strikes back, though. Whether that was in the form of slurs, mean words, potions or an attempt at pranks. Sirius is adamant that Snivellus started it by insulting Remus in their first year.
Fun facts about Sirius.
- Not a picky eater. Growing up at the Black manor ment a lot of fancy meals and strange food. Sirius has had it all, but he prefers the simplicity of Hogwarts food. Nobody likes simplicity more than those that are sick of the extreme.
- Absolutely hates being interrupted. Once he gets excited about something, he can talk about it for hours on end. ”Interrupting me is basically spitting in my face.”–Sirius to Marlene during one of their first interactions, 1973.
- Sometimes his upbringing affects small things in every day life. Maybe it’ll be the way he stands when zoned out (with his feet in the base potion in classical dance), his posture, his choice of words (especially when he’s angry. It usually comes out in a mix of french and english) or the way he dresses for formal events.
- For a while he tried to change some of these things. He purposely slouched, refused to wear his robes to family gatherings. He ended up giving up on it when his mates showed him that they don’t associate that behaviour with his family as much as he does.
- Sometimes transforms just so he can look at Regulus in the courtyard and make sure he’s okay.
- Light sleeper
- He was the first to notice that Remus was a werewolf but refused to tell anybody (even Remus) that he knew.
- In their first years at Hogwarts, Sirius and James’s nightly talks would sometimes end with both of them asleep in James’s bed. Sirius would wake up in the middle of the night just to go back to his bed.
- A very touchy friend until he realises it might look queer. Then he stops almost immediately because of how afraid he is of admitting it to anyone, even himself.
- His wand is actually a Black family heirloom, which is why his magic can be very uncontrolled in times of strong emotions. (The wand never actually chose him. He handles it very well otherwise because of his strong magical abilities, but it was never made to be in his hands.)

- Nightmares, especially after the Christmas eve incident.
